The inspection of the slimy leavings is a bit difficult in the dark, you can mostly make out that it is translucent and thick, but aren't certain of its origin.

"What am I suppose to be looking at?" Nolla asks as she kneels down, unable to see in the utter darkness. "Unless we get some light in here I won't be much help..." She observes.
As Samael and his torch approach, as the bright light falls on the pool of viscous saliva, it begins to sizzle, until all that is left behind is a flaky dust like was found on vegetation outside the camp.
Ahead, before the cave tunnel turns, you can now make out the words "HELP. NO LIGHT. HELP." have been scratched onto the rock.

"Does that mean help, don't bring any light, or help, I don't have any light - so bring some right away?" Nolla asks with a frown at the scratches. She glances to the dust remains of the goo. "I would guess don't bring light, but then we won't be much help, so not sure how to manage that..."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The half-elf nods. "Was wonderin' the same myself. Lemme go ahead, with no light. If that don't work, bring the torch," he says. Without waiting for a reply, the paladin turns and walks down the cave, turning the corner, every sense alert.
Perception 9
After he turns, he looks and listens, then says, "I'm a Paladin of Try. I wanna help." He repeats that in common, elvish and undercommon.
There's a low burbling growl that turns in a bit of gurgling whine as one of the wolves pads around a corner and approaches warily. It paws at the ground, then turns and heads deeper into the cave, turning to look at the half-elf before moving around the next corner.

Thavriol soon sees other wolves in the dark, all looking rather bedraggled and ill, fur missing in splotches, burns and sores visible on the bared flesh. He does see that farther ahead there is a soft illumination from some sort of glowing fungus or moss. It's sporadic, but there is some amount of dim light to be had in the cavern. The wolf he was following has headed down the center of a larger chamber, wolves lying to either side on denning spots among the rock formations. The otherwise quiet of the cave is broken by wet, sometimes labored panting, and the occasional hacking cough or growl.
All their eyes are watching him closely.

Thavriol calls back to the others, "Follow, carefully, hands in front. There's some light here." He then carefully, slowly, the most obviously sick wolf. "I think I can help. Please let me touch you," He waits for some indication they will permit the touch.
If so, he says, "Mighty Tyr, allow your servant to channel you divine light into healing." Then a light glows out from his hands as he tries to cure the disease or illness afflicting the wolf.
(I don't!)
Nolla does not have darkvision.

"on it".
Samael gets a torch going.
