Ragnar looks around, "Odd that a wagon like this would be simply abandoned here, very odd." He is going to look at the weathering on the wagon, and around the wagon on the gorund to determine approximately how long it has been sitting here.
As you move closer to the wagon, the unmistakable sound of bees can be heard, and a few wasps fly around the area. The wagon itself is an old derelict, and stripped of anything useful. The floor boards have started to rot and the iron fittings are coated with several years of rust. Not just the wheel, but the axel is also broken. As you investigate the wagon, the bees become more agitated, and the volume and depth of their drumming takes on a deeper and angrier meaning.
Looking around for the sound you see the ground underneath the wagon swell and burst open. From inside two long antennae emerge, attacked to the unmistakable head of a wasp. The head is the easily the size of a human head.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
The Giant Hornet(s) are coming up under the wagon. Lucius consider them half cover while under wagon from your current position. Eraleigh & Ragnik consider them full cover from your current position.
Lucius narrows his eyes looking at the hornets climb up from under the wagon. He starts walking back towards the wagon, taking his shield from his back and strapping it onto his arm and then drawing his rapier. His whole demeanour shifts as the blade is drawn, and he stands close to the wagon stone faced under his hood, waiting for the beasts to come.
Move: 6sq South to L12. Action: Equip shield Interact with Environment: Draw Rapier
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ragnik hops off the back of the cart and moves to a position to get a view of the creatures appearing from the ground. He clasps onto his holy symbol hanging from his neck and begins a brief chant before saying "Embrace the flames of his forge!" casting sacred flame: 8 radiant damage (failing a Dex saving throw DC 14).

Muktak is fascinated by the large wasp, and instead of fighting it he tries to make contact. He casts Speak with Animals and says to the giant wasp "Hello there, great creature! I apologize for infringing on your land. You are quite magnificent, and we were foolish to impede on your grand abode," He then shouts to the the party "Leave it be! If we are passive, we might get out of here unscathed,"

This may be an unfavorable ruling, but I am going to rule that Speak with Animals will not work with these creatures for 2 main reasons:
Their intelligence is 1. Therefore, they are creatures of pure instinct and unable to communicate.
Given the combination of being a Druid (untried as you are), proficiency in Nature and high perception, you realize these are NOT natural creatures.
So if you would like to do something else... If you still wish to Speak with Animals, then I will give you the results.
