"There seems to be only three big ones (Bugbears) in this hideout. They left from this tunnel earlier, and they haven't come back. Should we go in now, that they are not inside?" Droknin asks the party. "I am ready to go in now."

The five of you pull open the hinged grate and enter the tunnel. It is dark and it runs a mostly straight course back in the direction of town. Ultimately, the narrow passage widens into a much bigger space. Those with darkvision [or if you do opt to use a light]see the following...
A cold breeze fills this large natural cavern, carrying with it the faint scent of decaying flesh. A crevasse divides the cavern and is flanked by two rough stone columns that support the twenty-foot-high ceiling. Two arched wooden bridges span the chasm. The cavern stretches off to the north beyond the limits of your light or darkvision.
Closer, and visible to all, there are passages lit by torches that lead off to the east and to the west. The east passage leads nowhere, while the western hall leads down a flight of stairs. There is a closed door, and then the hall follows a right turn out of sight.
You emerge from the tunnel at the red dot on the map. Whoever is in the lead, make a Deception check against DC 17, please.

Keashirryl will probably go before Garrin, since she has not much trouble seeing in the dark, lending her armoured figure to block as much of the Halfling as possible. Quietly, she conveys everything she can see.
As Droknin follows second, he surveys their path for additional clues, if any.

With regard to your deception roll... nothing happens. You are unaware of anything, and there is no effect to give you the impression anything occurred. Carry on.
Cassius keeps his senses trained on the tunnel behind them. It is silent, and he is confident the bugbears are not anywhere nearby.
Droknin does his best to examine their surroundings. The cavern floor is rocky and doesn't hold tracks well, though it looks like most of the traffic coming in and out of this tunnel turns and crosses the nearest bridge, toward the eastern dead-end tunnel. There are also some other humanoid bootprints, likely Redbrand fighters, crossing the bridge back and forth between the two tunnels. You also detect a sickly sweet sent of rot and decay, that seems to come from somewhere deeper in this cavernous room.
All: You are presently inside a large, dark cavern. You can explore this room further by heading north. Likewise, there are torchlit hallways to your east and west.

Droknin whispers on T'laren's ear as they come out of the tunnel. "I see most of the tracks going to the eastern tunnel, and also there are some back and forth between the eastern and western tunnel. The Redbrand prisoner might be on to something, I smell rot in this place. Be on alert." He then tries to report the same to the person behind him.
Droknin looks toward where he detected the sent, and look for anything unusual.

Droknin, the cavern is too dark. You strain your eyes and see that the crevasse is roughly 20 feet deep, but the shadows are too deep for you to see more without getting closer.
