(Ulmwin was hoping to meet with Kreldoran, and tell him about the young but very promising wizard he saw, explaining she's self studied and yet seems to have a nice grasp of things. Mostly he's asking if Kreldoran would like to assess her and maybe give some pointers, though it's obvious a part of him thinks she has a lot of potential.)

Randy wouldn't mind accompanying the monster hunters as the magic crafter in the group said he could make him some dark vision googles. Otherwise he's pretty open at this point. 

While examining the hand axes, Dornikal gives the name Balador a think.

((Kreldoran is interested in Ulmwin's mentioning of a largely self-taught wizard, and while he reiterates that he's not looking for an apprentice, he'd be willing to take a meeting with the girl, if she shows as much promise as Ulmwin thinks. He makes no promises, but Ulmwin gets the sense that he may have some connections he could use to open some doors for her if he deems her worth vouching for. The party doesn't need to mediate the wizardly interview, but if Ulmwin wanted to pop over and point them toward where his tower is, he'd talk with her should she stop by.))

Something about the name Balador resonates with Dornikal, and he ponders it a bit more... Balador... hand axes that are good against shape shifters... Bears?

Ah! That's it. Some sort of were-bear god from the Beastlands that really dislikes most of the other lycanthropes.

Ulmwin does concede that Kreldoran would be a far better judge in the matter than himself, but he at least seems impressed with the aptitude already shown for the age. He would gladly bring the message over to both her guardians and herself - To see if they'd even be interested in the first place. He will be trying to accompany them for most of it, though.

((I presume they are pretty close, right, or how did arrangements end up going? If they set up close to the tower, he'd probably go alone yeah, on foot. If it might be a bit of a distance he'd ask if anyone is interested in joining after explaining why. ))

"Aye can come with ye, tell'm we'll see them in town."

Dornikal and Ulmwin set off through the early morning forest, heading towards the clearing. They aren't making efforts to be sneaky, and a branch stepped upon snaps, resulting in a snort and rustling in the underbrush nearby.

Ulmwin glances at Dornikal. He already starts saying "Just a buck deer," as if noting no threat, then pauses suddenly.

"...Although might be something odd about it. Be cautious."

Dornikal looks in the direction of the deer then over to Ulmwin,

"Uh...Like what?"

"Seems unusually aggressive, at least I don't think there was a fawn or something nearby... I'll explain in a bit," 

Ulmwin keeps his hand on his weapon, hoping the deer will simply bolt. 

Dornikal will look back over at the deer, sizing him up.

"Aye think aye can take him."

Then back to Ulmwin,

"But ye don't want that?"
