"Ah, Frezzleborst! We've met a few times. Trying to get him to more fully accept Dumathoin. It's been a few years, but his eyes were fading even then. Aye'll come with ye when we get to town, if ye don't mind?"
Coljin listens to the mage and thinks about the items. "I would really appreciate the Stone of Luck. The cloak is nice and all, but I'd rather not have to where the cloak, while I only have to have the magic stone on my person."
"I do thank you for the friendship you have given to me and the entire group. Is there any easy way we can contact you in the future? Is there any sort if items you might be searching for, in case we come across them?"
Ulmwin clearly admires the creature in front of him with some curiosity, and can't help another chuckle when it seems so eager. Still, crouching down to get a bit more on eye level, he sticks out the tasty treat in front of him.
"It's alright, you can have it. And I'll get you more if you're still hungry," he muses. If it seems truly hesitant still to take it from his hand sticking out, he's willing to drop it and shuffle a bit back- Only to of course prepare the next treat. But as soon as it's willing to take one of the treats, and after a few moments of munching, Ulmwin of course does what every reasonable intelligent being does when they encounter a creature they find cute, even if it is often against common sense.
"I can certainly understand that, much easier to tuck away and not have folks eyeing it. And you lot have done as much for me as I've been able to do for you. I've grown genuinely fond of you all, which hasn't happened to me in a while. If you come across anything star related that seems to be of an arcane or historical import, I'd be interested to hear about it... not star themed knick knacks and trinkets, mind you, but observations, charts, things of that sort. I know of a spell I can use to reach out to you at a distance if I have need, do any of you have something similar?"
((The same sending spell that Coljin can use to get in touch with his clerical superiors.))
Ulmwin:
The creature slinks forward carefully, stretching out its long neck and delicately nabbing some of the offered food and withdrawing, giving off a soft growling as it chews happily.
It freezes when you touch its head, luminous eyes swiveling to watch you before it resumes eating. As you move your finger, it eventually seems to lean into the gentle pressure.

"Dumathoin, meh friend, is the god of gems and possibilities. When ye have time ye can take a moment to read meh pamphlet on Dumathoin."
Dornikal will fish out a rough looking, folded couple of pages and pass it to Whoopsie. The title on the front page is 'Curious About Gems, Exploring and Death? Dumathoin has your answers!' in crabbed writing.
Dornikal mentions as he walks,
"Aye wrote it mehself. When we get to town aye'm going to head to the print shop and get another thousand printed up. If ye have any questions on the contents, ye can ask meh! Aye think ye'd be a good fit for Dumathoin, Whoopsie, ye are an explorer and ye use gems in that exploration. Dumathoin would welcome ye warmly!"
Randy interjects: "Does Frezzleborst supply good gems? It's possible we could hook you up eventually with an alternate supplier, direct from the mines."
This time Ulwmin's chuckling is rambunctious enough it'd be understandable if the little dragon got scared off. Still, a promise of more scritches, and more treats, would hopefully be quick to shift the mood right back to a pleasant one.
"That's nice, isn't it? Would you like to come with me, little buddy?" he asks first, before continuing regardless of the answer.
"Those images from before... You're not from around here, I'm guessing? Did you come through one of those fissures?"
Whoopsie studies the pamphlet intensely, looking up at Randy on a bit of a delay. "Ssometimess. Bbuys estates and things people pawn, sometimes there's stuff good enough for work, but can powder and use those that aren'tt. Ddoes powdering gems offend your faith, Dorknikall?
Ulmwin:
The little dragon looks up at Ulmwin, reaching out its claws and latching onto his sleeve. Any possibly worry is relieved when it butts its head against his palm and crawls up his arm to his shoulder, perching there. When the bard asks about the images, it shares a series of short visions of chasing a flying creature not unlike a dragonfly, and a flash of spiraling colors that seems similar to the portal that the party helped to close. A series of other images and visions, or chasing and exploring follow, and Ulmwin gets a sense that they have been here for a while now, occasionally dipping back through to the other side, but coming back to explore.

Whoopsie holds up his paws in mock defense, a grin crossing his feline features. "Oonly those flawed or damaged, I promisee!"
Coljin:
"I'll look forward to hearing from you all, stay as safe as you're able!", Kreldoran replies, then surprises Coljin by enveloping him in a more crushing hug that one might expect from an elderly wizard.
Ulmwin:
The tiny dragon butts its head against Ulmwin's jawline and gives a soft purring growl.
In response to his asking about a name, the creature responds with a flurry of images that pass in a confusing blur, but Ulmwin gets a sense that their 'name' as such among those of their own kind is less of a proper noun and more an identity that encompasses their exploratory and inquisitive nature, a sense of not quite dissatisfaction, but an unwillingness to accept things because of tradition or because they were told, and a hunger to experience things first hand, even if it is to their own detriment.
A lot to put into a name, but Ulmwin also gets the sense that they would not be offended if he were to propose a simplified moniker, they wouldn't be offended, after all, Ulmwin is limited to a two-legger's creativity.

Dornikal gives the tabaxi's face a critical inspection before laughing.
"Aye, aye suspect ye wouldn't! Aye might be able to connect ye to some jewelers that can sell ye just their dust, probably cheaper, but aye don't want to get in the way of an established relationship."
Ulmwin nods thoughtfully to the image conveyed, nodding. All the while, he is slowly sauntering back in the direction of the tower, though seems willing to slow down, or turn, if the little critter is not quite confident enough for that just yet.
"That's quite the pretty name, I must say. It captures quite a bit more than our own- Admittedly, there are some cultures out there who still follow the naming scheme of "He who explores dangerously" in a sense, but it's a bit of a mouthful for most."
"How would you like the name of 'Danger' for short, though?"
"Jjust common, though tabaxi can communicate somewhat without using wordss. Eexpressions and movements that mean little to other racess."
Ulmwin:
You get the sense that it is rolling the unfamiliar syllables around, then a questioning sense, as if asking for a definition of the word you are proposing to assign to it.

The gnome starts dictating as if he is but a walking dictionary, before shifting his explanation to something more prose-like.
"Danger. It's a bit of a vague term without context, but at its base danger means 'the possibility of harm or unpleasant things to happen'."
"Of course, possibility does not mean it has to. When one says, 'There is danger in those hills', they mean there is likely something that may hurt you within them, likely monsters. So for the common villager, danger often is something they wish to avoid."
"Not that I'd say it's a negative by itself. Some people after all live for the danger. Me and my friends for example hunt it, for where there is danger, there is often treasure, and by solving the roots of danger we take that danger away from those who could not do so themselves."
"In your particular instance, 'Danger' would stand for your willingness to dare explore and break convention, even if it would come at risk of harm to yourself. It could also mean you ARE the danger, in a sense."

"Aah, yes. Dumathoin is dwarf gem god, yess?"
((Dornikal recalls the elderly gnome, a bit of a pawn shop merchant that was loosely affiliated with the jeweler's guild.))

"Powdering a gem doesn't offend Dumathoin, no. Sometimes that's the best use of it!"
He blows a light snort out,
"It might offend meh as a craftsdwarf if ye are powdering something with potential!"
spider:
"Yes, I can use Sending to get you a message. That will work great. Then we will keep in touch, my friend."
The gnome nods thoughtfully.
"Right, figures you came through there. We closed that portal now, but... Well, I figure I ought to know some magic that might help in that regard."

Dornikal scratches his stubble thoughtfully.
"Hmm. Do ye have any gods ye worship, in particular? Elves, humans, gnomes, dwarves, giants all have a pantheon."
His voice catches a bit, for whatever reason, when he mentions about giants but he pushes through it.
"Orcs and goblins got one too."
