Ulmwin spends about another twenty minutes just chilling with his new familiar, before he eventually pulls out a peculiar book from his backpack. As he starts writing down, continuing to share thoughts with Danger in the meantime.
(Are you Spider?)
Ulmwin once again begins regaling the events of the past few days. Both the mundane and the exciting, although there is obviously a lot of exciting things to be told. He shares this knowledge with Danger as well, though will notably keep out any part that is "direct" communication with the entity reading the book in question. Special attention is given to the portal, a brief mention raised about his "immunity" to the time stop with a subtle note given in the form of "I will come back to this"... Of course, while he spares no hint of praise for his compatriots, it's safe to say that if it is this version of the story that ends up surviving, people might have just a slightly skewed edition of real events. Oh well-
As he finishes regaling those events however, he comes to the latest news. Where, rather than simply describing the events of that day, he addresses his patron more directly.
Now, after all that happened, especially with the time stop protecting both me and Randy... As discussed before, I feared I was left with little option to confide our agreement to him. The ranger is what many would call 'too smart for his own good', and while a test of cunning is a challenge in its own right, confiding to him seemed like the best course to prevent disaster in an act that would break our bonds. I trust he will help keep the secret.
Compared to him, however, Kreldoran is "too smart for everyone's good". The wizard had figured out the basics of our arrangement without me ever needing to tell him, and we turned into an intriguing discussion on the matter. And while I left the conversation with both him and myself only more convinced in our allegiance, it did make me realize a few things.
In the back of my mind, I've always known, the reason I was contacted from our perspective group was for far more than me, if I am allowed to be humble, merely being the greatest bard alive, was it not? And while I don't doubt our interests remain aligned I think perhaps it is best time we meet, to hold a discussion what your goals and motives are, for the destination at this end of the road.
On a less grave note, I managed to befriend the pseudodragon that had been trailing us for a while. Look at him!!!
The gnome conveys his excitement in the form of leaving a drawing of the little pseudodragon behind, as it has perched atop some books the gnome carries.
"Everyone, Randy sent his magical alarm. We need to head that way, he found something.!" Coljin states excitedly and with very fast speech. He then starts moving towards where Randy pointed out to him earlier before he left.
You hear some rapid breathing, hard to get a bead on how many, but from what you can tell of the blind, it is roughly ten feet on a side, so could fit four comfortably, and maybe double that if they got real cozy. There is some soft muttering arguing, and while he can't make out the details of what is being said back and forth, he does catch the words 'too many'.

From where Dornikal and the wagons are, they can't even see the rockfall, though if he were to ask Evar, the grizzled survivalist would tell him it's just around the bend to the right.
Randy departed wreathed in shadow, so he can't even be sure where his companion is until or unless he makes his position known.
((Kayleera is in the lead wagon, Brucho in the trailing wagon, his brother and Evar on the two horses, and Whoopsie, Dornikal and Coljin currently on foot behind the wagons.))
((Closest minis it has for Dornikal and Coljin.))

Ulmwin bids Kreldoran a fond farewell before starting to walk along with Vaduta, probing her with some questions.
"Yeah, I thought he was going to be gruff and stuffy, but he turned out to be really nice! His tower is amazing! And so many books! He even loaned me one, but wouldn't tell me what the spells in it were, said if I was as smart as you thought I was, I'd figure it out.", she smiles shyly.
"Said that his name doesn't carry the weight it used to, at least not in a good way... I didn't pry about that", but he gave me some letters of introduction to folks he thinks may be willing and able to help me in my learning... OH! Who's this!?"
She finally notices the little dragon, and extends a finger, which is sniffed and then dismissed as Danger nuzzles his head back down behind Ulmwin's ear.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
((Yes, Randy is going to duck back to cover once he gets done playing arsonist and then change over to his bow. He'll cover the blind with a shot at the ready.))
Randy hurls some flame and light at the tent before scampering up the rock and crouching behind, arrow read. There's a bit of a delay, during which Coljin runs down the track in the general direction of the rockslide, gleaming armor coating his body under his clothes. Eventually the occupants of the blind catch on, and there's a startled exclamation as two figures duck out, swatting at the fire to put it out, a middle aged human male, and a young halfling lad, Randy'd reckon just on the adult side of puberty. There are some accusations thrown back and forth in low hissed tones between the two and at least one other figure still in the blind.
((Coljin and Dornikal, if an active check or passive Perception passes a 13, you spot a wisp of smoke on the far ridge, but Randy's hiding too good to know if he's nearby.))
Coljin notices the smoke wisps (with passive perception) and continues down the road. He will look for an area where he can begin the climb towards the smoky area where it won't be a difficult climb for shorter legs.

Dornikal doesn't have any follow-up to Whoopsie's revelation.
"Huh."

Dornikal just stays close to the wagons, ready to react.

Your words lay on the page for a time, before fading as if being absorbed. In their place, a script forms before fading as well.

Randy concentrates on Coljin and blows the horn. He gets his rapier ready and then eases up to the blind and listens.
Coljin, ~200 feet back along the trail, hears the horn Randy carries go off in his mind.
((Randy, let's have another Perception check as you get up close to the blind.))
