One of Randy's arrows strike true, the other skittering off, while Ulmwin sends a blast down from above, after flying up and out of the canopy. The two hunters on the ground throwback their hoods, revealing two human men, one with a thick black beard, the other with grey streaking a shorter bristle. They yell to draw the attention of some of the heads before running deeper into the forest and starting to climb. The two treebound crossbowmen and archer move along branches, using pre-placed ropes to swing or otherwise scramble to trees deeper in, that aren't connected to the wires that were just strung.
The hydra hits the treeline, a few heads seemingly noticing the wires, but not quickly enough to halt the forward momentum as it crashes into the snare, the wires stretching under the weight before seeming to burst, but not snapping in one point, instead shedding and peeling finer and finer wires that snap back into coiling masses of fine wire, looping and snaring around the necks. A few of the heads snap futilely at the wire, others snapping at trees and branches, a few tugging backwards, yanking on wires ensnaring other necks.
"HIT IT! NOW!", cries the archer, the voice more clearly feminine now.
The floater reappears and sends a streak of fire at the hydra's back.

((I thought the flame shield feature of the amulet was something less than a full action to activate. Any chance you'd allow Dornikal to have activated it on his last turn when he was just sitting there?

The heads are engulfed in flame, the middle one going limp and charred.
More bolts (mundane and magical) and arrows streak down at the beast, some finding their mark, and it seems a bit panicked by the wire entangling it's heads and the surprisingly spicy dwarf.
Randy fires another couple of arrows.
