Taking what seems like an eternity to you, but only a few moments to others, to ponder the situation you command your hammer to once again strike the vampire while you swing your mace trying to find your target. With a loud thud and a heavy crack both land true knocking the vampire off balance before he recovers.
Still holding onto Gaetana, he goes in for a bite.
Attack: 13 Damage: 9 piercing damage + 8 necrotic damage (which will reduce your hitpoint max by the same amount if its hits)
Its teeth sink into your flesh and you feel the pulse of your life force leave your body. Without letting go its other hand reaches out to try and strike you Anvil
Attack: 22 Damage: 9
But your heavy armor prevents the claws from doing any damage.
"Hold still, you're just a pest," Sulfas shout as he brings down the axe reckless once more.
Attack: 28 Damage: 12

(OOOO Excellent!!)
In a fury of blows your axe carves pieces of its undead flesh off exposing the bone and muscle underneath. You can see the vampire is beginning to look around for an exit but being surrounded is limiting its odds.
Gaetana sees the fear creep across it's face as it looks for an exit. "I think not, your time has come to an end." With renewed malice, she goes to stab it while it continues to hold on to her.
With a sneer Gaetana stabs at the vampire holding onto her, puncturing it several times. You can feel its grasp on you weakening.
Taking advantage of the crowd tries to slip his shortsword into the vampire only to have it glance off one of Gaetana's blades. With renewed effort you move a bit to the right and stab again this time feeling the blade sink in. (Go ahead and roll your sneak attack damage, you get it for your first successful hit)
The wolves just goto to town biting and tearing at the vampire.

He is able to pull away from the first attack from on top of the sarcophagus but in doing so left himself off balance and is taken down by the second wolf. Pieces of undead flesh torn away, he is looking really bad. (He is now prone)
Anvil steps closer to the prone vampire, nodding at the ethereal shimmering hammer to drop lower and strike at the undead creature. Anvil then also pivots to allow a swing of his mace to swing down this time instead of up.
Both your spiritual hammer and your mace crash down on the vampire ending its pitiful undeath.
You are left in this room, which is quiet as a crypt (!) with the exception of your breathing and the sounds of the wolves chewing on the remains of the vampire.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Anvil looks down at the now fully dead undead creature then up at the others.
"These creatures are aggressive," Anvil says. "It would be more helpful if they communicated why they are here."
He then looks down at his armor and the gash the vampire made in it and then at the overall condition of the rest of his metal body.
"I will need to make repairs if we run into too many more of these," Anvil says then adds, "Are any of you in need or repair as well?"
His attention is then taken by the sarcophagus that the vampire and cultists were examining. He moves over to it and looks for an indication of why they were trying to open it.
Gaetana shudders as she listens to her wolves, but her interest is drawn to the sarcophagus. “Why do you think they wanted in to this? I wonder what it holds? No, Anvil I’m actually doing just fine but I think we could wait here for a short rest. I’ll stand guard with my uh, wolves.”
Gruno sheathes his swords and picks up his crossbow, securing it away. "They seemed very intent on getting that thing open. Part of me feels like we should check, but the other part is afraid of what we might find in there. I'm fine Anvil, just some scratches from earlier."
Looking at the sarcophagus it is very rudimentary by dwarves standards, even unfinished. There is clearly a depiction of the person the tomb holds but the features are unrefined, almost plain.
The few dwarven tombs you all have come across usually have conventional places fort he titles and accomplishments of their fallen, as well as conventional places for the name of the entombed. The expected location of the title is empty, but a traditional dwarven title "Sonnlinor" is alone in the space where the deceased name would normally be found.
Any who are proficient in religion would now this is title given to the clerics of Moradin, chief god of the dwarves.
Anvil looks down at the Sonnlinor title and the plain, rough sarcophagus.
"I would think an equal probability that this was made by either ancient dwarves before they perfected their craft, or more recently by someone who has forgotten or is imitating their work."
He looks down at the dead vampire.
"Do these creatures require resting spaces?" Anvil says.
Anvil then moves closer to the sarcophagus.
"I would see inside before choosing this place as somewhere to conduct repairs." Anvil says then looks to the others. "Are any opposed to opening it?"
"I..I am unsure about opening that thing. The demon and vampire sure were keen on it... Like I said I'll stand guard. As for the creatures? Ha, whatever my wolves don't eat can lay here as far as I'm concerned. Undead are creatures I do not feel require a resting space."
Gaetana keeps her distance from the sarcophagus, but watches intently if he does open it.
Anvil stares at Gaetana for a moment. Then his eyes blink out for a moment then back on.
"I was not inquiring whether we should bury this creature, but whether or not when alive, these kind of undead need somewhere to rest," Anvil says then gestures at the sarcophagus. "Such as this."
He examines the sarcophagus again then looks over to Sulfas.
"Push here and I will push there," Anvil says indicating two spots on the lid they can use to try and open the sarcophagus.
(If Sulfas does want to open the coffin, Anvil will provide Help)
