Anvil scans the room quickly and then approaches the pit. He looks down, keeping an eye for danger.

Perception: 29 

"You think they fell them down the pit?" Sulfas questions out long as he waits for the others to look around, bored there was nothing to kill right now. 

Looking into the pit its about 25 to 30 ft down and filled with spikes. You can see bits of torn cloth on some of the spikes and very clear claw marks on the walls, almost as if something climbed its way out of the pit. 

Anvil looks at the claw marks for a moment or two then back through the doorway they came from.

He looks over at Sulfas and nods.

"Someone was thrown down into that pit," Anvil says. Then with a nod and a pointed finger, he indicates the claw marks. "And it may have become something that climbed out."

Anvil turns away from the pit again and moves quietly around the edge of the room, looking for sign of hidden passages ways or nooks.

Perception: 32  

You don't see any nooks but on the far side of the room the passageway does continue on. You can all skirt around the pit without much trouble. 

Gruno will check the claw marks and see if he can tell what might have  made them.

Investigation or Survival (same bonus): 18 

"Gruno, quit playing around the pit, you're bound to fall in!" Gaetana quickly skirts it and heads to the passageway beyond.  "You guys coming?"

Anvil follows after Gaetana.

"Lead on, human," Anvil says to Gaetana.

Gruno stands up and chuckles at Gaetana, "Agreed, let's move on."

Making sure the rest of them are with her, Gaetana smiles at the human comment and continues down the passageway.
