Volen scowls, 'You know what, **** this.' she mutters under her breath as she casts Haste upon herself and then dances backwards disengaging from the combat to reach just outside Gruuk's chamber (a movement of 60 ft). She hammers on the door, 'You sack of shit, get your ass out here.' she shouts to him while keeping her eyes on the party.
The Orc who had previously been fighting Antonius strike Agnarr with his axe, dealing 4 damage.
Ida moves swiftly to Hamish and swings her Battle-axe at the orc threatening him. She forces herself to breath and she attempts to chop him in half. The axe flies through his midsection, severing everything in it's path.
Lightning arcs off of the enraged barbarian again, striking the Orc who kneels over Antonius' downed form and strikes it right between the eyes, prompting a gurgled scream and for the Orc to topple backwards lifeless.
Agnarr picks up a Javelin from the fallen Orc and strides forward to 30 ft, electricity crackling on his skin. With a roar, he launches it across the room at Volen, striking her in the shoulder.
It is Hamish's turn.
2 Orcs lie dead, 2 Orcs are still unconscious and Volen is standing at the far end of the room outside Gruuk's chamber, seething with fury. This was not how this was supposed to go.
Hamish watches in awe as Ida brings wrath upon the orc that just struck him. He sees that only Volen still stands and points while whispering, "You're arrogance and cruelty has led to this."
((Using dissonant whispers, and I believe Volen has disadvantage on Wisdom due to Darwin's earlier hex.))
Darwin sees Volen over by the eastern chamber, and once more reaches into his well of power, finding it somewhat depleted. He steals himself and once again sends a wave of lethargy directed to cover only Volen. She tries to fight the lethargy, but just as the other Orcs had before her she slumps to the ground, snoring loudly.
"We must act quickly to help Antonius, but also to move those sleeping into the chamber with the runes. We have but a minute to lock them away", he says with urgency.
Ida gets to Antonius and touches his shoulder to stabilize him (spare the dying cantrip). She looks at Agnarr to see how badly he is hurt, and to Hamish, and Darwin. "Agnarr, do you have the strength to help me drag these into the cell?" She feels the power she had just a moment earlier begin to leave her and now all she could focus on getting Volen locked up. She moves out towards Volen, dragging an unconscious orc with her. Her mind is racing as she is trying to decide whether to behead the two orcs to leave Volen no assistance in escaping.
Hamish feels his limbs go shaky and weak as the rush of combat fades. His wounds are more severe than he initially thought and he drops to his knees at the pain. He watches as everyone starts to drag the bodies to the pens, and tries to stand to help.
Ida drops the orc at Darwin's suggestion. She winks at him and says "and everyone thinks Antonius is the smartest." She runs to Volen and grabs both arms. She grunts and heaves and gets her into the open cell. She drops her in the middle and slides out, shutting the door behind her. Ida moves back to the chamber sees Hamish down. She moves to him, and looks at Darwin "Who has the key to the cell? You or Hamish? It isn't in the door." She gets down on her knees and puts her hands on Hamish's chest, focusing on the good that they were able to do together. She feels the familiar surge leave her and enter Hamish through his chest.
Agnarr's eyes return to their normal color as his body sags slightly, the electricity dissipating from his skin. He puts a hand to one of his wounds and it comes away bloody as he coughs a pink spatter.
'Could we not have put her to sleep before she and her friends put quite so many holes in us?' he says in a jovial tone, trying a bit of levity. He straightens and rolls his neck, grabbing the remains of the other sleeping Orc.
'I've got the key.' he says, answering Ida's question as Antonius opens his eyes and Agnarr dumbs the sleeping Orc unceremoniously.
'I feel like I've been hit by a cart.' Antonius says as he sits up. 'I assume we won? Did they leave any breakfast left overs?'
Ida knows both are seriously injured, but she knows she needs to rest before she can do much to help anyone. She feels it's better to try to heal them before anyone wakes up, so she goes to Antonius first and touches his shoulder. Then to Agnarr after she sees him throw the 2nd orc in the cell that used to house Antonius. After she finishes, she looks to each of the group. "Did anyone see everyone get out safely? Do we need to go check all the corners of this place to make sure no one is left inside? And now that she's locked up, do we think Gruuk is going to let us leave if he comes back and we are still here? I know I'm saying this constantly- but we need a plan. People are hurt, we all need to rest and eat, and we need to figure out where we are and how to get to safety.
Agnarr grunts. 'The others went outside. Then 3 Orcs came in the way they went out with blood on their weapons...I don't think any of them got out safe.' he shrugs, delivering the words matter of factly.
'I would also like to point out that at some point another dozen orcs will be returning here to switch out with the ones we just killed.' He places his hand back over the same wound he did previously and notes, with some surprise, that it is no longer bloody. 'Thanks for that, but unless you've got a lot more where that came from I'd recommend us leaving.'
Antonius slowly clambors to his feet following the healing energy from Ida, grunting and groaning as he does, but stubbornly refusing to put down the crossbow he created during his imprisonment.
'That sounds a touch cowardly.' he jibes. 'That being sad, I would very much like to get back to Haukberg. Not least to take a real bath. First though, I would like to have a chat with our hostess, once she comes round.'
Agnarr grunts in dissent, or at least, it sounds as dissenting as a grunt can. The scowl on his face could easily be interpreted as displeasure at the Artificer's insult.
Darwin looks at the others with a focussed expression. "Well the original plan was to get Volen in that cage where her magic is useless so we can question her. I am not leaving here without trying to get some answers either. And I want to search this place a bit first too", he says motioning around them.
"It is true that more Orcs will come at some point, but that could be days from now. I think it is worth staying for a short while. I also don't think I want to leave Volen alive", he says matter of factly.
Hamish sits against a wall of the cave, absentmindedly itching at his freshly closed wounds. He looks up at Agnarr's words, then whispers, "Did everyone in the pen die because of us?"
"We don't know what's happened yet, Hamish. It's possible that they escaped or it's possible they ran into trouble. When we get outside we will have a better idea of everything. I know it's hard, but we can't focus on them just yet, we have other things that are priority right now." Ida had been thinking similarly and was gutted at the idea that the rest of the prisoners wouldn't be outside waiting for them, but she knew that they did everything in their power to help them. She looked at Darwin and nodded her head- "We need to know where we are, and if possible we need to know who else knows about us being here. She's working with people, other than just Antonius's partner. The more information we have, the better we can defend ourselves moving forward. Darwin is right, we need to search for out gear and for anything else that could give us clues before they wake up. The more we know, the more we may be able to get out of her. And we need to be prepared, she may have enchanted that cell so that her magic still works in there."
“Best someone keep an eye on her”, Darwin says looking at Agnarr and Antonius hoping one would volunteer. “The rest of us can search the place, starting with Volen’s room”, he adds moving in that direction.
”Just let us know before you start questioning her, I want to hear what she has to say”.

All parties take 4 damage as the flames lick at you.
Volen's saving throws were 13 and a natural 20.
The Orc still at the Northern passage now charges Hamish with his Axe dealing 6 damage.
Darwin is up
Shocked by Ida’s transformation and being hit by Hamish’s spell, Darwin sends a blast of energy flying wide of the mark.
”Careful Hamish, and don’t just stand there!”, he calls to Hamish as he sees another Orc rush in and strike him.

Darwin's turn.

Darwin smiles at Ida. "Don't worry about me, I hid at the back", he says looking a little sheepish.
"Let's put Volen on her own, those brutes can go in Antonius's old cell. Not as far to drag them", he suggests.
Wherever they are taken, he will make sure they are all disarmed and Volen has no weapons, components, items or arcane focus.
Hamish feels his limbs go shaky and weak as the rush of combat fades. His wounds are more severe than he initially thought and he drops to his knees at the pain. He watches as everyone starts to drag the bodies to the pens, and tries to stand to help.
