Vireil falls from her hammock as she tries to get up, clearly not used to this way of sleeping yet, but she manages to realise what's going on and land gracefully enough, despite the short distance to the floor. Immediately, she realises the state her body is in. Despite just awakening from sleep, she feels even weaker than she had when she went to sleep. Definitely a hangover, but one even worse than the very few she remembers having in her past. That blasted rum - she only drank a bit of it. Should definitely avoid it tonight.
Due to the tiredness, it takes her longer than usual to realise what's going on in the room. She observes, for now, remembering that anyone who kills another will meet the same end they witnessed Jakes meeting last night.
Waking up without the nausea and the headache of the previous day, Deket's first thought was to give his best today to be able to, at least, communicate with someone. Last day was a day to forgive. He is sitting in his hammock, checking that the few things he had yesterday were still on him when he realizes what's going on.
He quickly stands and put himself at the rest of the newbies side.
"C'mon ladies and gentlemen..."he says to the more experienced pirates "As long as we appreciate the welcoming party, we could postpone it for later. No one wants to be late for morning duties, right?" he tries to emphasize the "no one" part.

Grath looks around to see what the commotion is all about. Too many people ahead, big chunky fellas with big names and titles. He looked at one of his mates from the meeting with Sandara and had a "What's going on here?" look in his eyes. It seemed that the big names are ready for some action, but Grath wasn't sure if it is a normal occurrence here, or there is something serious going on. He remembered someone saying the word mutiny from yesterday. That could be a trigger if someone overheard it. He stands up slowly towering over almost everyone in the area. Sandara looking worried? That's no good. "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?! Aren't you scurveheads supposed to be kidnapping some more "recruits", instead of fisting the air in front of those who have things to do in 30mins?" Admittedly this is not how he wanted to address them. The language he meant, it was the tone he didn't intend. He just realised the entire day yesterday he talked in a soft voice to keep himself hidden as much as possible. This was the first time he actually spoke with his own normal tone
And someone woke him up! That's already a serious crime in his books, which would normally warrant a much rougher scolding. "well, shite. I guess I'm not going to be able to pretend I didn't say that" this time he was thinking it. Gives a "Ladies and Gents, I guess you got your chance, let's not waste it" look to the rest of the party and positions himself next to Sasha and Vireil.

OOC: Generally I wouldn't do this on weekends, but since it is just an imitative roll I went ahead and rolled Arloch's so we can get started. There 3 true ties (same initative and same dex mod) so on those I did d100 roll offs with the higher person going first.
Here is our imitative for this scuffle. It actually turned out pretty well spaced as random chance would have it with a NPC acting after every 2 players with the exception of Ringer at the top...
Jaundiced Jape (21)
Ringer (19.1)
Aretta Bansion (19)
Grath (17)
Sasha (15)
Fipps Chumlett (12.78)
Vireil (12.24)
Jonah (7)
Slippery Sy Lonegan (6.43)
Deket (6.08)
Arloch (4)
Tam Narwhal Tate (3)
Jape moves forward and around (to I6) and throws a large haymaker towards Arloch's chin.

You feel the spell grasp hold of Fipp's mind and watch as his knees buckle beneath his girth. He falls forward into the hammock that hangs between two rafters in front of him...the ropes protest at the sudden strain, but keep him from falling all the way to the floor.
Putting the pirate to sleep, there is not enough energy left in your lullaby to send anyone else into a doze (These pirates have at least 10HP).
Arloch had just gotten out of his bed, ready to prepare any spell he could before this new day's duties. He sighs as he sees many sailors blocking their way and instigating a fight. This was not what he was hoping the morning would entail.
Next thing Arloch sees is a fist from Jape colliding with his chin and he crouches down in pain before sputtering, blood running down his neck, "Argh! Ya damned fools! Have you no shame?" His voice grows deeper as it starts seething, "Striking a man of the faith of all things! May the Sea Banshee trawl your vile souls to the depths for this!"
Arloch spits blood at the feet of Jape, completely and utterly disgusted with him and the others. He had been meek the day earlier but he would not stand for this insolence. They had no idea what he was capable of and he was going to take full advantage of that.
Aretta sees Ringer cast a spell, and feels the drowziness wash over her as she watches Fipps fall face first into a hammock.
"Ye bring arcane tricks to a fisticuffs! I'll learn ya birdie!"
She pushes through hanging hammocks and between some of the cargo, but can't find a way to reach the Kenku. Instead she settles for Jonah, flying at him with a fist forward. (Moves to J4)

“Are we doing this? Are we really doing this?” Grath felt an ecstatic chill running down his spine that made him shiver. Not the kind of shiver that you get from seeing a spider biting off an insect’s head, then looks at you with all its 8 eyes, frowns and tip-toes away. No, it is the kind of shiver that makes you go “ooooohhh, don’t you dare holding me down! I want to kill someone!”
From the first moment he got on this ship his plan was to figure out the ins and outs of the place and fight his way off of it. And now it is offered in a silver platter?
“Jape, Jape, Jape, Jape, Jape. What am I going to do with you? Trying to bully my friend Alroch there? No sense of hospitality here? Let’s see what makes you tick.” Grath started to think what an ugly looking Orc with an awfully poorly maintained beard might enjoy. “Abjuration,Evocation, Illusion, maybe Necromancy?“ As he was scanning through his spell book he heard a high pitched ding sound…and another one…and another one. Six in total…he slowly raises his head. ”It’s the bell on the deck! It must be a sign. Bells always toll. They toll for someone…but mostly they toll for the dead” as he is thinking it he closes his spell book and says “Necromancy will suit you just fine”. Grath casts Toll the dead on Jape.
Jape holds both sides of his head as the sound of a heavy iron bell rings around him. As he pulls his hands away green blood leaks from his half-orc ears.

Despite the tolling of the bell, Fipps continues to sleep. (Completely missing his turn).
Syl looks at Jape stumbling in pain and shakes her head. "'Tis not worth the headache, the true headache, that they twill give us...I say pack it in boys."
Tam growls. "Nay, they are the ones that decided to fight dirty. Let's show'em what fightin' dirty is all about."
He draws a rusty dagger from his side sheath and continues to advance with a wicked smile.
Jape and Aretta seem torn between doing what they have been told and pressing the fight or withdrawing out of a sense of self-interest.

As Jape advances, Jonah sighs and shakes his head. He reaches down to his arm and flicks a catch, opening up yet another compartment within it. What emerges is a bizarre contraption, not all that unlike a miniature harpoon, though rather than a harpoon it has a sort of three-pronged claw mechanism at the end. Jonah flexes a whalebone finger, and the claw shoots out, trailing a length of rope behind it. It latches on to the bucket that Jonah used earlier in the day, which now lies on the ground (or some other equally painful bit of flotsam and/or jetsam) and Jonah flexes another finger. The rope begins reeling in at a prodigious speed, and Jonah jerks his arm suddenly, sending the bucket sailing towards Tam's skull.
(Casting catapult, DC 13 Dex or 11 bludgeoning. Ideally, Jonah will be lining up the bucket so that if it misses Tam, it still is flying at Jape or Aretta, but if he can't that's fine.)

Tam watches as the small grapple reaches over and snags the bucket, he is able to duck out of the way as it makes its return flight. Jape is not so lucky though, still holding his head and hearing a continuing ringing in his ears, he is oblivious to the flying implement until it cracks against the back of his skull. As the bucket cracks him over the head his eyes go glassy and he falls to his knees before slumping the rest of the way to the deck.
Between the Toll the Dead and the Catapult Jape has been reduced to below 0 HP and is currently dying from a brain hemorrhage.
Seeing Jape fall to the ground, Tam shouts and turns to run up the stairs. "Murder, there's been a murder!"
