Pishon is taken aback by the feline and after a moment of embarrassment he looks to see Nar’Vek and Garwin talking. As he listens into what they are saying he nods his head in agreement.
“We never meant to offend you. How can we be of assistance?”

Usagi
Usagi stands to the side, arms folded, nonplussed. "Kind cat, we are all ears." A look passes over Usagi's face as his eyes roll up towards his own ears as he realizes the unintended joke. "It appears we have very eager individuals here. Perhaps we can turn that enthusiasm to a mutually beneficial outcome?"
The cat looks at you all and seems to be considering her next move carefully.
I’m sorry, she sighs, this place does things to you and you, she glances at Nar’Vek, you just bring back my own pain, I can see you in me. My own cub vanished from this carnival without a trace several years ago, it’s why I am here, still searching but never finding. All I have to remember her by is this small mirrored ball, she holds up the ball the young child had made a grab for earlier. I wish you luck in your search but I doubt what you seek is here. Something strange is going on, those that run this place are on edge and I fear we may all be about to become lost and never found
Pishon looks to the cat and says “sorry to hear about that. It seems this place has a record of people losing important things to them.” Pishon strokes his chin as he thinks. After a few seconds he looks up and says to the cat “how rude of us, my name is Pishon. Not to ruin the depressing mood, but what did you mean by “on edge”?”
The cat looks at Garwin and Pishon, ‘I’m pleased to meet you, I’m Dirlagraun, and my cub was, she corrects herself, is Star. “It’s hard to describe the sense I’m feeling but something is wrong and those that run this show are behaving”, she hesitates trying to find the right word, “in a manner I’ve not seen before, nor can I effectively describe what I’m sensing, but the closest would be undertones of panic or dread, maybe, yet I have no factual evidence to suggest anything is a worry beyond the normal pick pockets, thieves and entrance fee dodgers”
"Entry fee dodgers...hmm...who would do such a thing? Certainly I would never do that." Usagi looks slight anxious. Anymore. I am not a child as I once was.
Dirlagraun considered the question carefully - I think you need to tread carefully, they don't like being confronted on a good day and today is not a good day. You need to speak to Mister Witch and Mister Light, they own the carnival, but I would very much advise against confronting them directly. I would suggest, for what it's worth, that you instead sneak into the Staff Area behind the Big Top and perhaps ....spy on them?

While Dirlagraun is distracted in coversation, Nar'Vak is going to try to stealthily go to the wagon and climb quietly into it. She is still looking for her father's flute and this cat seems unwilling to help, and in fact totally disregarding the child they themselves lost that they wanted found just minutes ago... They fey truly are fickle!
Stealth to try to get into the wagon: 10
Perception to look around for the flute once she is in there: 15
I've said enough, the cat yawned, this is getting uncomfortable, do as you feel necessary but you heard none of this from me - as she turned a shout went up from the direction of the covered lost property wagon
Oh what do we have here then, a burly Witchlight hand had grabbed Nar'Vek by the neck and was pulling her towards the cat. Found her in your wagon I did, figured she didn't belong in the back there!
This just keeps getting better, hissed the cat at Garwin, Pishon and Usagi.
OOC: Ok, the stealth didn't matter but does Nar'Vek get a chance to dodge or break the grapple? To pull her rapier or a dagger rather than be dragged around and shown off like a dead cat?
Usagi pinches the bridge of his nose and sighs deeply before straightening up and bowing deeply from the waist. "We beg your pardon and ask for forgiveness. It appears that this one," Usagi tips his head toward Nar'Vek and winces, "is overly eager and perhaps being in this fantastic carnival has caused their sense to run off. We should be going before we bring further shame upon ourselves." Speaking quietly so the Witchlight hand does not overhear, he continues. "Shall we take a walk around the rest of the carnival to get a feel for things or shall we head for the staff area? Does someone have another suggestion."

"So lost things here are never found?" Nir'Vak asks curiously. "I couldn't imagine ever stopping to look for a lost cub!"

“Good question. Bye the way, my name is Garwin “

I am in agreement with Garwin. To add on to his question, is there anyone in particular who has been acting…out of sorts lately?
