Fargen directs Cinder to carefully pass where the crocodiles originally were and eyes the water.
The forge cleric draws upon the strength of Moradin to imbue his lance with magic. The dwarf prepares to evade along with his steed, but holds out the magic lance to pierce the advance. "Come and taste this point, you oversided lizard, if you dare!!!"
Fargen looks over his shoulder, "Move out as fast as you can. I'll hold them back!"
The croc, charges out of the water impaling itself on the lance, biting at Fargen, but missing, then it swings its tail around hitting Cinder for 14points of damage, and knocking the horse prone, roll a dex save or join the horse falling prone, Fargen
Fargen deftly hops off Cinder as the giant warhose crashes to the ground from the mightly slap. Fargen eyes the beast, still clutching the lance and shield, soon to decide which one to drop..
"Ooh that's naughty. Shame shame!" Kuri waggles her finger at the crock switching her mark to the one near Fargen. She looks for a weak spot (Sharpshooter)

Shouldn't have troubled the roads, croc!" He claims, grinning from ear to ear as he leveled the crossbow at the beast. Although the grin cracked and crumbled as he appeared to struggle to line up a shot. "By the bloody nine hells and thensome! Y-your bloody horse fat ass keeps getting in the way!" He complained.

An ooze, comes out of the sides of the crocodile's head, as it grows still, the caravan makes it past, combat over.
Carnath Roadhouse
The Carnath Roadhouse, a compound that served as a hostelry on the trade road between Waterdeep and Neverwinter in the days when trade flourished. It fell into disuse when trade stopped, but now that the road is being rebuilt, the roadhouse has been repaired and put to use as a supply depot and wagon park.
You see the approach to the Road house has people, workers breaking rocks and clearing the way on both sides of a bridge spanning a gorge, As the wagons arrive from the south, they are being brought into the compound, one or two at a time for unloading.
(Yeah, looking back it's a little unclear for techncially how long we're to stay with the Caravan, but I could just as well be misreading things. But either way I'd imagine we're free to roam now that the Caravan has reached the roadhouse/way station in the form of the Roadhouse.)
"Did it... Did it just have an annyuerism and die?! That's like crazy, r-right?" 'Njorman' asked of the party while trying to sound incredulous, but failing miserably to hide the smile to behind the words. If/When he meets Gattara's gaze for even a moment immediately after the fight, on the other hand, he looks away and tips his hat a bit forward in shame. Ultimately with the caravan on the move again he eventually hurried to grab his mount once more and catch up as needed.
Later on~~
"Looks like it'll be a hot minute 'fore their done unloading'em, ain't it? I'm gonna see if I can find Ardred and get the all clear to roam about while their at it. Maybe stop into the roadhouse itself and get an early diner." 'Njorman' offhandedly comments before looking to his fellow party/guardsman. "I wouldn't mind some company, but probably best at least a couple of us stick with the wagons till they full done unloading. 'specially as it could be a good business opportunity, if'n ya catch my drift?"

"Well it aint' as if I can promise the conversation to be anymore 'entertaining' than playing watchdog, but either way..." At that, short of any epiphany hitting him about protocols regarding guarding a caravan once it reaches a destination, 'Njorman' by horseback headed towards the front of the caravan in hopes of finding Ardred. Failing that however, he'd go a step further in asking around along the wagon line in hopes of someone at least being able to point the way.

The magpie, Rudy flies and alites on Nobody's shoulder whispering to him "We've had folks here, spying, but they've disappeared, I cant go inside but I watched this place, seems more goods, contraband, goes in than come out, how about suitably, investigating, maybe play the part of the workers, or guards, and spy on them to find out where its disappearing too. Let your friends know." Nobody hears a Half Orc near the entrance saying to someone "You best get back to work, or you'll be Punished!" The bird ruffles its feathers "Ok, I got to fly!" He flies off to a nearby redwood
Nobody/Njorman jumped a little once Rudy started whispering but calm down fairly quickly to focus on the words. "Mn. A good start, if anything." He murmured to himself. Then after a bit more thinking, he motions for Kuri and Gattara to follow him just a little ways away from potential prying ears and relayed Rudy's message. After which he concludes with, "If'n I had to guess, I'd wager either a, they've been smuggling things out under the cover of dark, b, they got some kind of teleportation circle set up, or c... Secret Tunnelll~ Heheh... heh.... No, but seriously though. Either way, if you two wanna go ahead and sort out figuring out who runs the Roadhouse, I'll still see about finding Ardred and making sure the air is clear on that front, 'fore meeting back up with ya'll."

With your passive perceptions you think the half orc that I describe earlier, "Nobody hears a Half Orc near the entrance saying to someone "You best get back to work, or you'll be Punished!" is in charge of unloading the wagons, and maybe the work crew. You also see the human that is in charge of the guards still working, Ardred Briferhew, the work crew at the moment seems to be working on their own. Across the bridge of a gorge clearing and laying down stone.
