Hoard Of The Dragon Queen

Kissa moves on, she gets closer leaving some of the group behind. But, Thufir is ahead, the paladin debates why a monster would not snack, on a juicy prize due to numbers, if it can fly away with one. One of the silhouettes dives down retrieving a humanoid form. Kissa, and Thufir are now, within bow shot. Thufir, disadvantage with a javelin.

Fargen hurries to get closer once he sees the creature pluck a victim from the ground.  He summons Moradin's hammer in the air to contend with the closest beast.

(Attack w/ spiritual weapon if in range: 50' move, 60' spell range)

Spiritual weapon (upcast at level 3): 25 Damage: 12 force

Kissa raised a javelin in readiness and called out to Thufir, " You remind me of Merrindji in his righteous anger."

Action- bestow on Thufir the below-

Tale of the Avenger. For 1 minute, any creature that hits the target with a melee attack takes force damage equal to a roll of your Bardic Inspiration die. 1d6 )

Bonus Action- Bardic Inspiration- 1d6 on Thufir.

Charging forwards on his war steed, Thufir readies and sword and shield, but instead of attacking hopes that this creature, like many other magical beasts, will understand spoken language and commands (Wis dc 16) it to “Land!” He then positions himself directly under it, hoping it will land beside him.

"Perytons.." Nobody whispered fearfully after shaking himself out of sync with Yanda. "A-and by the nine, I think they have someone as well! What... what do I even..." He looks about frantic for options, but ultimately finding none. So instead, spidery fingers snatched up a crossbow and quickly loaded a boat as he searched the skies for any other flying menaces near their charge's wagon. By some after thought however, Yanda is set to follow after the group and continue providing assistance as the need arrives, or if any call for it.

(OOC: Not 100% on distance between Nobody(who stayed with the Employer's wagon) and the Peryton, but he's ultimately readying a shot in case of other approaching )

 Even with the dash movement, Fargens short legs hasn't made it within range

The Peryton lands 30ft away. The others circle around, flying closer.

Fargen will simply dash then (no spiritual weapon yet).  What would be his distance next round after 25' additional move?  Initiative: 13

"Anyone fought these things before or know anything about them?"

Charging up to the creature that landed, Thufir says, “These people are not for you to feast upon!” He then grips his sword as a charge of electricity flows from his arm into the blade, charging it with additional power before swinging at the beast.

Figuring Thufir should be able to handle himself, Kissa looked about for how to help best.

With the other creatures too high for her spear she assisted with the one on the ground- 

Crystal Rapier- Attack: 13 Damage: 6 + 6 radiant damage.

BA- Dagger- Attack: 27 Damage: 6

(You're getting a little far ahead, the surprised action stopped at the Peryton landing and now the initiative begins )

Peryton #1 landing his victim starts struggling, distracting the monster! the others dive at the group with a goat like almost human scream, but are too far away.

Nobody <------- 200ft away. You do have a horse, mount and get it to dash. Or since everyone was in transit. Optional, I will say you were mounted I'm sure that you can go into a familiars senses in the saddle.

(To keep things moving along for now, Nobody does the following for now.)

After once again reinforcing to Yanda via the link to follow after the others and provide what help he can, Nobody fully retreats from the familiar's headspace looking a bit torn in the moment. So he looks to whichever of the party's employer happened to be driving the wagon as if asking for permission to follow after the party. However, even before they can say anything, he immediately looks away feeling doubly guilty. But then following a steadying breath, Nobody breaks out his crossbow(if he hadn't already) and if at all possible takes a shot at the still aerial bound Peryton in spite of the difficulties with the shot. 

 IF, however, unable to see even one of the fiendish birds from his position, then he'd stay ready to do so the moment one of them -- or any Peryton for that matter becamse visible to him.

(OOC: Forgot the potential disadvantage roll, so DM may feel free to roll that in my stead.)
