Jedavii panics a bit. Rosie would hate him if he hurt her frog, he thinks, but Canon could be gravely hurt or even killedif he doesn't finish things decisively right now. With a heavy heart, he unsheathes his hammer and attempts to bat Count Croakula off of Canon. "I'm really sorry, Rosie!"

test roll: 3+11
Nope, did not work. Going to have to play around with it a bit to see if there is a way to add the two together without them being considered part of the same roll.
Well, regardless, Jedavii and Canon's blows manage to knock out Count Croakula! Though Marius' attempts to soothe the creature nearly enraged it more, it has now been subdued. After a minute passes, all the frogs return to their normal tiny size and are utterly serene when they were practically frothing at the mouth a moment before. The panic dies down as Ellina Tanglewood, the wood elf manager of the Firejolt Cafe, storms into the lounge. "What in the Founders' names is going on here?!" She exclaims, looking at the mess. "Are you all alright? Those wounds look bad. Here, you two, take these."
"Sorry mam." Robin says with a wince. "Something strange happened with these frogs..." she holds out her own to show her boss. "They turned into giant frogs for a bit, and attacked. Now they are back to their normal size, but I cannot explain why they suddenly transformed..."
Jedavii rushes to find Kiwi, finding him snacking happily on one of the sandwiches that the gith had thrown. He picks up both the frog and its snack, cradling them gently. "Hey lil' guy. Ohh, poor thing. Are you okay? What happened?"
He casts guidance and attempts to find anything abnormal about the frog.
Perception: 9
He glances up to the manager. "Sorry, miss." Reaching into his pocket, he fishes out a silver or two (however much the cost of the sandwiches he gave is). "The sandwiches I gave them helped calm them down a bit; I'll pay for them."
Marius runs to the remaining crowd, trusting his friends to soothe the manager. "Is everyone alright? Any injuries?" His eyes scan the crowd, looking for anyone hurt but specifically ensuring Rubina's okay.

Canon just stares down at Croakula, released from their mutual grip by the frog's return to normal size, for what is probably only several seconds but feels much longer. He barely reacts when Ellina hands him the potion, simply taking it with his uninjured hand and downing it without looking. Only when his wounds begin to close, and Croakula has hopped away, does he blink several times and seem to become aware of his surroundings once more.
"Robin, thank goodness you weren't hurt. Giant frogs you say? Well, that's the last time I let anyone bring any critters in here... And don't mention it... Jedavii, right? You're that new cook over at the Bow's End. Curtie says great things. Hey, wait, you kids are the trunk slayers!"Ellina says, finally realizing who you all are. "Well, consider those sandwiches on the house, Jedavii. And all of you... here, thank you on behalf of the Firejolt. You can redeem these 10 gold gift cards at anytime. I know you've already got your employee discount, Robin, but I hope you don't mind a little extra. Now, who's responsible for all this?"
"Um..." A voice pipes up. Rosie peeks around an overturned chair like a guilty child. "It was... it was me... I'm so sorry! But I had no idea they were gonna turn into monsters! I just found them by the koi pond in the Commons and thought 'hey, why not have a race like back home?' Back home, frogs did not get all big and scary like that! But... But I promise, I'll clean this up, Ellina, okay? I'm really sorry..."
"Miss Wuzfeddlims, I should have known. You definitely will be cleaning this up. Alright, everyone, move along, party's over. Either get a coffee or be on your way,"Ellina says, herding any stragglers that remain.
Thankfully, Canon and Jedavii were the only ones to be injured. Rubina is alright. "Thanks for checking on me, Marius." She says, before looking over all of you. "Considering the trunk incident at orientation and the frogs today, you're all pretty efficient at dealing with trouble."
"I'll say. Good work, Jeda,"Javenesh says, patting the gith on the shoulder. "I would have jumped in, but I was too busy trying to keep those first years from trampling themselves."
"Canon, are you alright? That looked like a pretty bad situation back there... But I am, ah, impressed with your grappling skills!"Drazhomir murmurs to Canon, inspecting his arm. "And it seems that healing potion Ellina gave you has fixed you right up. Excellent!"
Rosie tugs at Robin's sleeve. "I'm so sorry, Robin, really, I had no idea things were gonna end up like this... You could have been hurt! I would never have forgiven myself if something happened..."She says, her eyes watering.
Jedavii's eyes widen. "He says that? Ooh, that's great! That means the cooking's going pretty well. Thank you, miss!" he takes the card with a smile. Giving a nod of appreciation to Javanesh, he replies: "That's really important too; nobody else got hurt so I say you did a pretty great job, Java!"
Hearing Rosie's predicament, he gives her a pat on the back. "Hey, I don't think it's your fault. I know you wouldn't bring the frogs if you knew they'd be dangerous. Here; these tables are heavy; I've gotcha." Jedavii helps her clean up and put the tables back together. Shoulder-fox sits on his left shoulder while Kiwi takes his place on the right one, both cheering up the gith with their presence.
As he does this, he comes to a sudden realization. "Hold on a second..." he asks out loud to everyone, "If Rosie didn't know the frogs would do what they did, and I doubt the school would release those kinds of creatures into the public pond, then... someone must have put them there! Maybe we can find whoever oversees the koi pond and ask them if they've seen anything!... who would that be?"
"No worries." Robin says, smiling at Rosie. "We all got out of it with little damage done." She glances around the room. "Let me give you a hand at cleaning this up..."
"Um..."Rosie says as she's straightening up the space with Jedavii and Robin, "I think the groundskeepers are in charge of making sure all the ponds are tended to. But I'm pretty sure those frogs aren't normally found in those ponds."
"She's right,"Javenesh says, also lending a hand. "I'm taking Introduction to Reanimation right now and Dean Valentin used frogs like these for a demonstration. They're usually found in Sedgemoor, the swamp over on Witherbloom campus. How they made their way here, though... That's a mystery."
"A strange trunk attacking people, then strange frogs where they normally are not..." Robin says thoughtfully as she works. "It seems like something is going on around here, out of the normal school chaos." She remarks. "Best be keeping our eyes open I think. I'd bet that, whatever is going on, we have not seen the last of these strange events."
Canon forces a smile at his friend, "Oh, I've had much worse, don't worry about me." He looks down at his arm where one of the wounds is being prevented from closing by some obstruction. His smile fades as he plucks the object from the wound, allowing it to close. "I'm just sorry you had to see me like that." He holds the small object up to inspect: one of Croakula's teeth, broken off in the fight. His now-healed hand goes to the strand of claws and teeth aound his neck, as he muses sadly, almost to himself, "I can't even add it, the frog wasn't killed."
Pocketing the tooth, he reassures Drazhomir again that he's fine and retrieves his axe. He offers a belated thank-you for the healing potion to Ellina, and then a respectful nod to Rubina. It's hard to tell with his goliath skin, but there might be just a slight deepening of the colour of his cheeks at her positive assessment of his and his friends' abilities.
Joining the conversation with his companions, a familiar look of confusion returns to his face. "So you're saying this isn't normal for the school? To test the students with dangerous creatures? I must have been around three or four years old the first time they released a razortooth viper into our creche…"
“They did what?!” Jedavii gives a yelp as Canon describes his experience. “I mean, how can they do that? That’s terrible!”
He sighs, shaking his head, and asks the others: “Maybe we can go toward Sedgemoor and take a look around, or maybe ask the groundskeepers. Anyone else want to give it a go?”

Robin just continues to soothe her own frog. She figures the giant-kin has the situation under control after all.
Fair enough!
It is now Marius' turn!
Slightly annoyed now, Marius looks Croakula in the giant eye. "I'm going to say this once. Calm. Down."

Maul Attack: 18 Damage: 11 nonlethal bludgeoning damage
(Edit: DNDBeyond considered my attack roll a crit since the bless dice rolled maximum. Weird. Jedavii's attack should only do 10 damage.)
