Yes you do still level up. The Milestone is "Surviving day 1" Nothing about sleeping. Just waiting for everyone to sleep so We can start Day 2.

Ok Torla what do we see?

Bean slowly touches the dirt moving it to see the fur better. But tries not to move or disturb the fur itself

Investigation advantage: 7

Bean, From moving some of the dirt you can tell this creature is most Definetly dead. There are various claw and bite marks along he back of the creature and while there is blood on it. The blood is still rather wet, It hasnt been dead long. You gather from the white fur that this was The Cub's "Daddy" and the Mother did its best to cover is with dirt. The Claw marks do not match the marks you have sustained from the Fight with the panther bean, They look deep and rather then a set of 4 marks like the ones you have. They are in a set of 3. Indicating that it was not killed by another panther.

Torla sighs as Bean points out the differences between his own scrapes and what this creature sustained. "Well, we could all use some rest. If everyone else is asleep, I'll take first watch," she says, wading back across the pool. She bypasses Erik, giving a long look at the cubs, and heads toward the mouth of the cave.

OOC: Is everyone else asleep? I think they are (inadvertently or not). Torla needs to take a long rest, so I guess she will sit up as long as she can before she needs to wake someone else up to continue the watch.

When it's time to sleep, Torla will choose a spot as far away from everyone else as possible, but close enough she feels she could hear the cubs if they start howling.

Ok, So I'll say that threw out the night a few different people take watch for a couple hours. You all get a long rest(Except for Erik) Awaking some hours later to find the Sun high in the sky with no cloud in sight. At this point you are all Very thirsty and Hungry. You might want to think about finding some food soon.

Erik, Before everyone wakes. You spend the night watching the Cubs and they do gradually get use to your scent, Moving closer towards you for warmth during the night. During the early morning you find the Cub's gradually waking up, The Black furred one still seems a little on edge but the White Furred one is looking directly at you.

Erik I want you to make 2 animal handling checks.

Black Furred Cub is AH check with disadvantage.

White furred Cub is a Regular AH Check.

Tyrvan woke to find himself on the ground next to where he had passed out while "keeping watch". 

His stomach grumbles and his tongue feels like sandpaper. 

Making his way quietly into the cave, Tryvan moves to the pool of water and reaches down to scoop up a handful of clear water. Taking a sip, Tyrvan sits back on his haunches and looks around at the cave and his fellow survivors. 

At least the two cubs seem to have quieted down, but still if the ranger held onto them it was just going to be another couple of mouths to feed and watch out for. And it's not like they were going to be of any use as far as protection...except maybe against some form of bug or mice. 

Imras stretches then follows tyrvan to the pool. He cups water in his hands to drink and satisfy his thirst.  Then he stands and looks back out of the cave. 

What do you think, should we try cooking up some panther for breakfast?  Could gather some.more coconuts to round it out. 

Tyrvan looks sideways at Imras, "Panther for breakfast sounds amazing. Anything other than coconut and death berries."

Torla (who's excited about the additional spells — which she would NEVER call spells — she's been able to prepare this morning during her morning devotions thanks to her level up) stands. Her arms are deftly braiding her long, red hair into a messy French braid. "Let's spare the cubs the sight of us skinning their mother and do it outside the cave."

Torla exits the cave and walks over to the dead panther and inspects her stomach, trying to determine if the cubs were still breastfeeding. Animal handling: 25

For cutting no, Both Imras and Tyrvan know how to use a blade so Cutting isnt a problem. Neither is cooking, Sailors know how to cook. Starting a fire on the other hand will require A Survival check to build the Tinder base and make preparations to catch the flame, followed by a Dexterity check.

Unfortunately with the Disembowelment performed by Bean in the killing of the creature, Anything that would suggest If the cubs were still breastfeeding has been destroyed. However from the Relative thinness of the cubs you can assume they were not breastfeeding anymore, Rather awaiting meals brought to them by their mother.

Imras gathers firewood, sticks for tinder and some dried leaves for kindling to try to build a cooking fire.  Once he has assembled everything he tries to light it. Survival: 21

Luckily Imras, You did meet the Survival DC for starting a Fire It was 10.

Taking 10 minutes you Prepare a Tinder base with some dry leaves and grass, With the little bit of dry driftwood Torla had carried along on hand. You grab a Flint rock from bean and proceed to strike it against your dagger, Sparks fly from it and catch on the dry tinder. Applying oxygen via blowing on the small ember it soon erupts into a Flame. Placing 2 pieces of the dry wood on the flame and allowing it to catch Fire. You now have a Fire, although upon looking at the available dry wood, you assume you do not have enough to keep it going for long.

OOC: Crap! I just realized I should have used my last spell to heal Erik before going to sleep. Sorry, Neo.

"Well if you guys cut up the panther. Ill try to get some more wood to keep the fire going" Bean says excitedly because he is helping. 

Bean throws his hands in the air and grunts angrily "yes we started the fire, and no it hasnt always been burning, please stop with that convaluded humming. I swear if it gets stuck in my head i might give you what you want" 

Bean wanders twards the tree line to harvest fire wood

While Imras, is gathering firewood and starting the fire, Tyrvan pulls his dagger and begins to skin and quarter the panther. 

"We are going to need more fire to cook even a portion of this meat. And I don't think we will be able to keep all of what we do cook. Any suggestions?" 

Imras watches Bean walk off, then turns to Torla and says quietly, uhh, who is he talking to when he does that?
