Yes it will not work for Josiah, the axe can carry small creatures. Gnomes,Dwarves etc.

I will say for the sake of speed on this(This has already taken ALOT longer then Expected.) Bean go ahead and make a athletics check to pull yourself over to the other side. Whoever wants to hold the chain on the otherside make a strength check.
After which you can lower the chain down to Josiah to get him up.

Ooc: hey i was joking about the str of 10 gnomes. But hey. Ok V-dice. You do you.
Asuming tyrvan and whoever else hold me up decently. Bean says "whew. Thats a workout. But it didnt seem hard. You sure this was that tough?"
Bean snickers to the side. "Shhhhh. I know its hard and i got lucky with the chain. But i dont really get to show off. Im hamming it up a bit. This feels good"
Beans athletic check is good. Still awaiting a strength check from whoever wants to hold onto the chain.

Torla you grip the chain but you misjudge Beans weight and you are pulled forward, loseing your grip. Luckily Tyrvan has dug his heels into the earth and is keeping a firm grip on the chain, Bean makes it to the other side of the Ravine without a problem.
Everyone is on the side of the ravine next to the large body of water except for Josiah, Who is still relaxing his back after a hard fall in the bottom of the ravine.

Bean breaths a sigh of relief. "Thanks torla and tyrvan. I apreciate it"
As bean rewraps himself in the chain for an anchor. He will lower the now 38 ft of chain to josiah. And yells. "Come on bud. Its only a 12ft vertical leap to grab the chain. You got this!."
At the same time he will insist on torla and tyrvan grabbing the chain around his waist to help anchor josiah.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Josiah slowly climbs back to his feet and looks up to where the chain is now dangling. Taking a deep breath, he attempts to sprint-climb the first few feet up the ravine wall before leaping up to grab ahold of the chain.
Ooc: 1. Dunno its length. 2. Reign said that immediatly after i make it accross we were getting josiah out with the chain. Im just doing what was narrated to me. 3. I dont like this ravine and a rope i more likely to break instead of the chain.
You all watch as Josiah takes a few steps back. Takes a deep breath and sprints full speed at the wall of rock and dirt before him. He manages to take full steps on the wall and push himself up to the the end of the chain. He grips the chain hard with his right hand before swinging his left hand up to do the same. Hand over hand Josiah pulls himself up the chain and out of the ravine.

"...owwww..."
Pause for a few deep breaths.
"Yeah, I'm still here. Take your time passing down the chain. I'm just going to lay here and relax my back for a bit..."
Lets get bean over to this side, then we can use the rope instead of the chain to pass down for Josiah.
