The arrow whizzes pass the Avatar, Its attention is drawn to you momentarily Josiah as you Hear another RIP. Another avatar steps threw a tear in reality. Josiah roll initiative.
Eh, I'd be okay with most things via Divine Guidance, Especially considering the current circumstance.

OOC: Can those not engaged help those of us who are without engaging? For instance, can Bean help Torla (give her advantage) without his own avatar appearing? Also, is the avatar's attention being torn his turn?
Im considering It the Avatars turn to summon another avatar. Both will act on the same Initiative.
As for your question, It all depends on HOW they help. Say if they were to flank, you would get flanking advantage and technically the one who helped would not be engaging.

OOC2: Josiah, you have a healing ability, right? Ignore the part about no one being able to be resurrected after an avatar of death kills them for right now.
I would say if torla were to die, Her avatar would leave the field.

Josiah can cast Cure Wounds and Lesser Restoration, but that's the extent of his healing capabilities.
Honestly, I half expected that a Reaper COULDN'T show up for Josiah since he's "deathless"...guess we'll just have to see how this goes, though I imagine the dragons aren't too happy with me summoning another one...
Torla, this being the first real time you have used this Bearded axe. It's weight in hand is significantly different from the mace you are used to, It has taken some time but you finally feel comfortable with the Weapon. Swinging the axe wide you dig the blade into the Bones of the Avatar. The Avatar reels back in pain and the dim light in its eyes seem to falter for a moment before burning back to life just in time to sidestep the Hooves of your steed. The Avatar takes 12 slashing damage.
Avatar 1 swings its scythe in retaliation at you Tora. Attack: 21 Damage: 7 slashing + 5 Necrotic
Josiah, no sooner can you pull back another arrow is the Newly arrived second avatar looming towards you with its scythe Held high. It brings the blade down towards you.
Attack : 19 Damage: 7 slashing + 7 Necrotic

At the appearance of the second avatar, Gregora is overcome by pure rage. Her features become more and more dragon like as her body begins to swell and grow. In what amounts to a mere second there is a loud metal sound, Like a blade being drawn and a gust of air. Gregora has moved into melee range with the avatar attacking Torla, In her hand she holds a tiny looking rapier. It dosent look like anything special immediately but as she pulls her arm back, the blade bursts into fire.
She rapidly strikes the avatar twice.
Attack 1: 18 Damage: 7 Piercing + 9 Fire
Attack 2: 29 Damage: 9 Piercing + 6 Fire
She then uses the rest of her movement to hover over next to Torla and touch her on the Shoulder. Using her Bonus action to cast cure wounds at 5th level.
Torla you heal 34

With his suddenly heightened speed, he slips back out of melee range with the avatar (no AOO, per the spell) then fires off two arrows in rapid succession, the first of which seems to split in two in a burst of radiant flame. The second single shot fired from the bow, rather than splitting in two like the first, seems to spring forward at insane speed, as though driven by the wind itself.
Attack 1, Arrow 1: 14 Damage: 12
Attack 1, Arrow 2: 21 Damage: 7
StarScourge Bonus Damage: 4 Fire on first arrow to hit.
Attack 2 (invoking the Zephyr Strike attack): 28 Damage: 8 + 7 Force
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
At almost the exact same moment both Avatars crumble to dust. One literally stabbed to death by the Enraged Humanoid form of the Silver dragon. The other, no sooner had it arrived did it have 2 arrows shoved into its eye sockets.
There is a loud RIP as a Third, larger avatar emerges from a tear in space. It looms towards Gregora.

A Good question NeoMagus. One, I've had to think about. I hate how most things in the PHB and DMG are worded, Leaves alot open to interpretation. I will say that Josiah and Torla could still assist Gregora without fear of more avatars showing up.

OOC: On one hand, Torla doesn't know much about these things. On the other hand, her experience is that when someone other than the one who initially summoned the avatar attacks it, another appears. On the third hand, the dragon appears to be able to handle herself.
But for the brevity, After what amounts to 5 minutes of clashing back and forth. The Avatars scythe literally unable to pierce Gregora scales, With Gregoras Flame wreathed Rapier poking burning holes into its form. The Avatar finally succumbs to its wounds and crumbles to dust.
Im not playing out the fight between the two of them. Even with a +7 to its attack, the avatar Literally cannot hit Gregora with a nat 20. Gregora just has to roll a 6 or above and she can hit the avatar.
For those Curious, Gregora has a AC of 28 and no, she will not be accompanying you.

Feeling the faint warmth of Torla's divine magic, Josiah grits his teeth and nods to himself, apparently coming to a decision.
"Screw it, if I'm truly DEATHLESS as everyone keeps saying, then I might as well get some use out of it."
Drawing back his arrow, he lets it fly in the direction of the reaper.
Ranged Attack: 14 Damage: 8
Not that it changes this attack. But josiah has bless, so add 1d4 to hit.
(facepalm)
Lol, I just did this in one of my other campaigns too...
Just for the heck of it, here's the roll for Bless: 1

Torla once again swings the Huntsman at the Avatar as the golden steed beside her kicks at it with its hooves.
Huntsman attack: 21 + Bless (2nd round): 3; Damage: 12 slashing damage
Spiritual Weapon Attack (7th round): 17 + Bless: 2; Damage: 5 force damage

I forgot to roll Gregora initiative: 14
Current initiative score is:

Josiah: 15
Gregora: 9
Torla: 5
Curious, could Torla and I possible still assist Gregora, since our own avatars have now been defeated?
