Torla, the Moment of realizing that there may yet be more survivors of The Venture is enough to cloud your mind for a moment longer then it should have. COnjuring your weapon just a foot too high. It misses Erik completely as he dashes down the tree.
Leo, Smiles at you torla. "Im just happy Im not the only Survivor!, I've been walking around the coast for nearly 12 hours. I have a feeling I was always 3 steps behind you guys." He responds to Imras now. "The Captain and I were the last aboard the rafts. We were lost on the ocean for a day before crashing into a reef seemingly from this island. After some time on the beach, we decided to look for other survivors so He went north, I went south and found the Cave I expect you folks called home for a night. Then I saw the smoke from your fire. The Captain is gunna be so thrilled to have some of the crew back." The young mans attention turns towards the Individual who just climbed down the tree. His eyes narrow and he re afirms the grip on his blade. "Erik..."

As I already stated, Erik doesn't willingly stop for anything at this point until he gets to Korrigan and frees her. Consider your readied actions triggered.
Ooc: Mine was a ready action outside of turn order. Order hasnt moved yet. But dm said turn order pause untill hostile action occurs. And i assume my grapple attempt would be? So kinda both story telling and combat?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Erik's Acrobatics to evade the grapple: 21
Unable to evade the spry little gnome's surprisingly strong grapple, Erik freezes in place facing the tall grass where Korrigan disappeared from sight, not looking at anyone else in the clearing.
"Let. Me. GO," he demands in a low but firm voice. "My friend is hurt and in trouble. I will talk AFTER I've seen to her, and not a moment before."
He looks down at Bean still holding him, and anyone paying attention would note the tear stains running down his cheeks. "Come with me if you have to, but I must see to her first."
Gosh dang it, I'm getting tired of these low rolls...
(Tyrvan still hasn't revealed himself. He's not sure what's going on with Erik and Leo's sudden appearance, but he isn't quite ready to give up his advantage)

Bean and Erik, while the both of you are struggling against each other. In what seems like only a second, You see the Tall and familiar form of Leo standing but a foot away from the both of you. He looks you both up and down. "Bean, Let him go." The First Mate calmly says in a commanding tone. His Demeanor completely changes when his eyes meets Eriks."What Friend Erik?" He asks as he sheaths the sword in a scabbard on his right hip.

Torla doesn't dismiss her spiritual weapon; it continues to wait where it appeared. When Leo leaves her, she does open the top of the bag to check on the cubs.
Erik completely ignores this new stranger, only waiting to see if Bean releases him.
Question for the DM, is it possible for Korrigan to continue trying to get out of the soft earth on her own? Or does that run the risk of getting her further stuck if she fails?
The only reason she sunk deeper is because she rolled a nat 1. Failing the DC does not mean she sinks deeper. She can keep trying to pull herself out. As demonstrated when Leo helped Torla, If someone helps her. She automatically succeeds the DC and is pulled out.

Bean realeases the grapple at the order of the first mate. "Aye sir". Bean stands up and follows Erik as he goes. "You say a friend is in danger, and you will talk, then i will go with you"
Ooc: never underestimate the strength of a gnome. Dats how they break your legs muhahaha.
Bean whispers over his shoulder. "Im kinda surprised we got him too. But it wasnt a lucky fluke you ass-hole"
Ignoring everything else, Erik doesn't run but does move quickly into the tall grass in the direction of Korrigan's frustrated snarls and thrashing. He'll whistle a calming tune to her before reaching out to help her escape the collapsing ground.
Once freed, Korrigan circles up next to and nuzzles Erik's legs, a low rumbling purr of relief escaping her throat. She's happy to be free again, and more happy that Erik is okay.
Erik turns back to the gnome who had followed him as Korrigan calmly sits down at his feet.
"This is Korrigan, my oldest friend. We've been together since she was a cub." He glances down at Korrigan, then back up to meet Bean's gaze, his face like a carven statue of weariness.
"Not entirely, you've been here before by some means met this creature and you two became close, so the real question is, how did you get here before this"

Sorry to say, jimmop, but you're not actually there to hear that bit of conversation. As far as I can tell, it was just Bean who immediately followed Erik, unless you guys want to specify that you did as well.
