Torla, holding the mace in both hands, drops to her knees before the ice-covered mound of dirt and animal carcass. At some point within her tirade, she had begun to cry. She lowers her head and weeps. "Oh, all-father. My lord Moradin. I am not worthy to speak your name. I am not worthy of your grace. Forgive me for my selfishness ... for my impatience. Please, father, do not let these little ones suffer for my sins." She releases the mace and covers her face with her hands.
OOC: Dudes! You just heard Torla screaming her head off and nobody feels the need to check on her?!
Bean, you rush into the cave. Carrying the barely breathing Cub with you. Kneeling next to the pool you dip your finger and try to get yang to drink. He is Unresponsive. His breathing is very weak and very slow. The Small panther has seemingly lost consciousness. (Sorry folks, 2 failed AH checks.)

From a long way off, Torla hears Bean speaking. Her mind tries to resist recognizing what he's saying, but she finally acquiesces and opens her eyes. She turns her head and is immediately crawling toward the gnome and its tiny cargo. "No, no, no," she's saying. Bean releases Yang to her outstretched hands. "Father, please," and she casts Spare the Dying.
Alright, Bean you push yourself into the pool and slowly take handfulls of the cold water. Letting it fall over the Cub. Yang makes no movement and after a few moments of just gently pouring water over the tiny Cub. His tiny body goes limp in your arms with his ragged and weak breathing coming to a stop.

Unfortunately In your delirious state, you reach the small cub too late. Casting the spell into him only seconds after his breathing had stopped.

A moment of silence takes the air, both Torla and Bean staring at this small Lifeform before them. Both with tears flowing down their face. Just as you are about to scream Torla, you feel the tiny body move in your hands. Looking down, to your complete shock and joy. You see Yang, weakly looking up at you.
I treated the initiative check as a death saving throw for Yang. Anything below a 10 and you would have failed, 10 and above; you succeed.

Woo! Thanks, DM! I wasn't exactly sure how this was going to affect Torla (how badly it was going to affect her, I should say). I'm glad she doesn't have to deal with it.
Torla lifts the tiny body to her mouth and kisses it, then extends it toward Bean. As he takes Yang from her, she falls backward onto her bottom with a splash, her hands shaking like crazy.
(in other news, Imras would probably check what was going on when Torla started yelling, then upon seeing there was no noticeable danger and she was “just” losing it, would go ahead and search for other shelter before the storm arrives. )
Yang is still very weak, He is a tiny creature that just went threw heat stroke. He does slowly drink from the pool with your help bean.
Yang is at 1hp out of 2 hp. He is alive(barely) and requires food and rest. They may be panthers guys, but they are just babies.

Imras and Tyrvan spend sometime, While bean and Torla are freaking the **** out. Searching for a viable shelter option nearby, While nothing sticks out in the immediate area. Tyrvan you do spot a small rock overhang about 10 feet into the treeline to the north. It would supply some cover from the coming storm but not much. You could attempt to make a quick lean-to for shelter that would take some time. Other then Josiah, none of you have made a Lean-to, you've never had to.

Ooc: im in there with you dear. Im working on yang and am just as stressed.
Bean slides into the water. "Torla, i need help, i cant get him to drink" bean is crying as well. But the water from the pool is on his face too.

For good measure, animal handling: 8
Crap! What kind of good measure is that?

D20 + initiative (0): 3

You have GOT to be kidding me. Oh, this is bad.

Ooc: not gona lie, happy crying right now
Bean slumps and crys out. "Torla you did it."
With hands still shaking bean will help get yang to drink.
Ooc: tiny victory in the grand scheme, but holy hell is it heavy on more than a few of our characters.
(Then yang bites your finger off!!!!)

Torla is whispering prayers of thanks.
Bean rubs the little guys head."i dub thee, Yang the Flame Quenched"
And growls. "No not Yang the Undercooked"

OOC: Torla has during her year of backpacking across the country. But, she's not with them.
Torla opens her eyes and looks at Bean. "Is Yin ok?"
Bean horsley replies, "she drank from the water i already brought out. Shes fine. She is probly bothering brystel."
