Zanvoril spends the day cheerfully mining away, trying to get to know his newest batch of friends better. He also continues to quietly hand over his food to whoever most looks like they need it.
Charisma: 22 Insight: 21
Zanvoril endears himself to the other miners rapidly. At the end of the day, one of them, to him he gave half of his food, gives him a token of thanks. It is an empty wine bottle bearing a pretty label that says, “The Wizard of Wines Winery, Red Dragon Crush”. The bottle is old, clearly from before the drider occupation.
"It is a family heirloom," says the man, named Jorbus. "I have no heir, though, and giving it to someone else removes a worry from my mind. Please take good care of it."
Back at the stable, knowing one good and one bad site from the list, GB's thoughts turn to liberating the means of our liberation. First he needs a place where stuff can stay, ideally not in the stable itself. Driders are large, they can't get into low and small spaces, I imagine? But of course they will always just blame us for anything they are missing, so best if they do not know that stuff is missing. Basically, Bayut considers all their stuff as out stuff now, in fact, on the day we run for it, he plans to just take the whole chest and running. But for now:
In and around the stables, maybe to just over the property line - any spaces the driders can't look or wouldn't think to? ((a navy term - "pooka" - comes from the Hawaiian))
Are there any patterns of distrust such that some handlers might distrust or blame other handlers?
Perception? 19
((dice roller broken? nope complaining fixed it))
There is a place outside the stable near a row of three outhouses. The driders never go back there for the awful smell. A cairn of stones is piled behind the outhouses. Nobody knows if they signify something or if they were just a pile of stones meant for a mundane purpose, such as a wall. A former runner for the stables once told Bayut that he checked them, taking down the pile and restacking it after. There was nothing there. This seemed dangerous at the time, like breaking a horrible social taboo. Now it seems frivolous and Bayut knows that burying anything in the stones will be left alone by drider and slave alike.
The driders running the stables today are not unfamiliar but the are not the usual handlers. From what Bayut remembers of them, Dulzi has no argument with the young males. Sometimes he sees the males fight when a female is watching but generally they do not when they are left alone by the matriarchs.
That night, everyone's hidden messages are gone, replaced by a single acorn. Etched around the side of the acorn in a sprial is a tiny message that reads, "2 nights - w'house - 1am". It seems clear that it is time to meet again. Working on a timeline will be difficult, since it has been acts of opportunity thus far. But the time and date has been set. The slaves have two days to complete their objective of acquiring 3 pieces of equipment. Then, the rebellion will begin.
Zanvoril gratefully accepts the gift, "I promise I will continue to pass it down through the ages, until one day free peoples will drink from it again."
(So far Zanvoril has the blankets, mining pick, the silver nugget that he sent out and now this bottle, right? Is there rope laying around anywhere that could be easily acquired on his way out that night?)

Was hoping to try more in the day we have advantage, but waiting for that answer, thanks
Bayut will at least hide a least-used bucket in the cairn - planning to place anything small he can come by later in the bucket.
And if that chest is left open for the driders to access the stuff they use, he would try to sneak a set of manacles - if it is locked except when they take stuff out, never mind, some other plan will come up Stealth10
re that other plan - is the chest here at night? how are we guarded &or locked up at night? thinking ahead to sneaking out and maybe taking the whole chest for our little evening rendezvous
If he can he will lucky-chalk-it-up for better luck Stealth14

Those two rolls can still be the previous day.
Bayut is able to quietly determine that they do indeed lock the chest when not in use. It remains outside the stables at night, locked. Taking it will definitely bring hell down on the runners, even if Bayut never returns and is the obvious culprit.
Lia moves around the farm, looking for anything that could be lifted, and be something she could hide away without too much difficulty. She is too small to hide anything big on her person, but figures she could hide something in the hole she uses to get out of the farm if absolutely needed. She spends some time just taking in what options are available and deciding how and when to take what she decides on.

So on this day, presumably back to work? Bayut keeps his eyes open for an opportunity on a run or in that time when leaving or arriving. In an ideal world, which this is as far from as can be, but he'd love to get the manacles: a symbol of oppression, potentially improvised weapon, and probably are not used so much so might be less missed than most things. But whatever, and even something that might be a trade item with the tabaxi twins.
Lemme just throw a roll here for use if an opportunity comes up 12 Stealth is +4, Slight of Hand +2 depending on what comes up
And, how do we get locked up at night?

The farm is replete with equipment useful for picking fruit. The following are items scattered about outside and in the bunkhouse:
Elsol bides his time, waiting till the day he'll leave. On that day, he plans to try to take the pipes again and acquire a second knife or dagger.
If he intends to deceive his bard troop, roll a deception check. For stealing the pipes and a knife: 10, 14
Elsol is able to grab another steak knife from the tavern easily enough. However, Koeri spots him pocketing the pipes and gives him a puzzled look. "Whatcha doin?" she says.

After returning from running a message, Bayut carefully lifts the lid of the chest while the drider is giving instructions to one of the other runners. He slides the manacles carefully and quickly around his waist, making a loose iron belt that is cold against his skin. He gently closes the lid before the drider turns around and is waved inside. After this, it is easy to retire to the outhouses and deposit his find under the cairn of stones.
The front door is locked at night but the back door is not, giving access to a small courtyard with the outhouses. Exiting the courtyard is not difficult. A guard hired by Dulzi manages security at night but never comes inside or goes into the courtyard. He may possibly manage security of some nearby stables as well as he is not always outside their front door.
With not a great amount of stuff to pick between, Lia attempts to get an iron pot, which she puts in her escape hole. Then she would try to get a couple sacks and a few candles, at different times, to put with the iron pot. If she has time she would try to disguise the hole better, turning the iron pot upsidedown and then spreading dirt over the hole, so that there would be no sign of it, but that might take a while to do, so she would not do it if it seemed like it would take so long she would get caught doing it.
It is very dark in Duskwell as the revolutionaries gather at the abandoned warehouse on the north side of the city. Tilly and Whytefern have arrived early and are shooing cats away as they explore the space. Elsol, Lia, Bayut, and Zanvoril arrive one after the other. With Lia is a grim looking halfling woman who insisted on coming along. She has only called herself "Gellis" and otherwise gives off a vibe of detached, judgmental observation. The only person missing is Xev'ren. After half an hour, he still has not arrived.
"What do we do abut her?" Tilly says, gesturing to Gellis, who is sitting on a broken crate. Gellis snorts in response.

Zanvoril moves over to the new halfling and bows, smiling broadly as he takes her hand, "Greetings fair Gellis, it is truly an honor to meet another brave compatriot in our glorious cause! My name is Zanvoril, may the fates smile on the wonderous occasion!"
As he bows and takes her hand, he creates a small shower of rainbow colored sparks to rain down around the two of them for just a moment. (Prestidigitation)
Xev'ren's absence hits the gofer hard, for someone he spent a few moments with. Maybe something from a previous life, or just the dynamics of enslaved society - you make friends fast or never at all. He introduces himself to Gelles and adds Labor shared is halved, freedom shared is doubled
He updates all and sundry; clearly some info got thru since we are meeting at a place he found. He asks the leadership team Are we going back? Are we fighting? Do these effing collars come off? I don't really know how I left things at the stables

(What would have the halfling told Lia to be allowed to come with? There is simply no way she would just show up with her, unless she was given a convincing reason. Lia would have simply lost her, and planned on not returning to the farm if that was the case. The halfling would have had to convince Lia she could be trusted, and, even more, that she could be useful. Intimidation and threats would have no affect on Lia, as she would simply not return to the farm. If threatened to call the guards immediately, Lia would have lied and let her come with, then lost her in the streets.)

Okay, I've thought about this a bit and retroactively created a whole new character. Despite appearing to arrive together, Lia did not travel here with Gellis, nor was she followed (in that Gellis did not need to make a stealth roll nor Lia a perception check.) Gellis has made it clear she used some divination magic to invite herself along, arriving within a minute of Lia's arrival.

Lia secures the items. As she is burying them at the fence line on the north side of the orchard, a small voice catches her off-guard.
"What are you doing?"
It is the halfling woman, out here only to follow Lia. She speaks with caution in her tone, but controlled and quiet.
I believe only Xev'ren has his quota to meet.
"Putting things away for a rainy day." Lia says with a glance to the halfling. "Don't tell me you don't have a cubby full of items, just in case."
