Noey puts her deck away with a little flair, and, rather than read her list, looks up at what other students (not the ones in her group) are doing. She expects them to all be reading their lists, and she is looking for anyone or anything that doesn’t meet that expectation.
Fwiw, her passive Perception is 17.

"Hmm... I wonder if this is everyone for themselves or if it's intended to be more of a mixer to meet people instead of trampling them..." He looks up and says in a normal volume, "Are these co-operative or strictly competitive?"
While waiting for (or hearing) an answer, he'll stand up, collect his things and walk forward until the blue light emanating from the center of the room spills over him.

For a moment, Rhydian feels magic surging through him. Magic different to anything he's seen before- pure, unrestrained energy. Then he gets thrown backwards, landing twenty feet away from the pool. In his hand he holds a vial full of glimmering red liquid.

"Save me a spot," Noey tells the others, "I'm after a clue!" She sprints after the dwarf she saw, not waiting for a reply.
Noey notices the girl turn sharply, heading back towards the entrance of the Biblioplex.

Rhydian gets back to his feet with a bit of a groan and pockets the red vial. Then he takes a quick look to make sure his instruments are undamaged before heading back to the Bow's End Tavern.
Noey slows up as she reaches the little cafe, glancing at her list. She rolls her eyes and goes up to the counter and looks at the dwarf. "So... We get a snack? I thought the way you were running that you had some line on a tough one, like the ancient stars or something. I'm Noey, what do we get?" She looks at what the dwarf is being served.

"Hi, Noey!" the dwarf says excitedly. "I'm Greta. Greta Gorunn. I didn't really luck at the clues, since I need something to keep my energy up. The sandwiches here are great!"
