Perception : Qoronriel Salingihre has a typical slim and slight elven body. He does have a workers body, fairly firm. Plenty of small cuts, scrapes He does not seem overly swift, seemingly more stiff. He wears no visible weapons. His clothing is a couple shades of green and well worn. He wears no visible symbol of image of anything.
Valindra deduces from this that if they should find themselves in harm's way, beyond that which having a male with her would scare off, she will have to use a few spells to get them out of that situation as soon as possible.
She bids Salingihre and Shortwick good night and retires to her room to rest through the evening, prepared for travel the next morning.
Valindra sits up in bed and gives a friendly smile, though she is already mentally preparing to cast spells to get herself out of this situation should it turn dangerous. "Good morning, friend. What brings you here?"
Valindra looks the elf over. Does she appear to be armed or armored?
The gold skinned female elf is wearing a tight fitting silk body suit with tiny leather boots. It's not armor, and she has no visible weapons.
Female Elf "Well.....you do. I'm here to help. Both of us. See in another time and place...I was you. It did not end good for me, so I'm here. With a bit of hope, your life might have a better out come then mine."
Valindra tilts her head to one side, perplexed by the stranger's words. "You say you... were me once? Now, do you mean that literally, as in there's something deeply magical going on here, and you are me from the future? Or..." Valindra's countenance turns sad. "Or do you mean you too lost the ones you loved?"
Female Elf smiles "Well, not like you. Just someone just like you. On the same road or branch. I'm from the past, 1000 years, 800 suns, 400 moons...a long, time ago. "
Female Elf frowns"And, yes, I lost everything...twice. Three times if you count my life and spirit."
Valindra rises from the bed and crosses the room to the stranger, holding both her hands in her own. "That's very sad. Do you need to talk about what happened, dear?"
She holds your hands back. "I was a thousand years ago, so I have had some time to live with it. My story is a tale.
I've called myself Rhyrie Swiftdark for years, but I was born Rhyrieaylyndera Essme Siltithelsinaen, Second Brightest Star in the Golden Sky, royal princess of Eregkelume. Sixth in line, though, with five sisters in front of me. As a Chronologian of Labelas Enoreth I spent a lot of time in the library. I was there even when the coup happened. It was fast and bloody....the whole royal line...my family...gone in less then an hour.
I got away....I lived. And I had the choice to make: try and save my kingdom and people....or just move on with my life. I chose myself, and Rhyrie Swiftdark was born. As a Dark Rouge I lived a fast life in the wild and on the streets. Until an orc was a bit better with a blade then me, and I died. But there was no eternal rest for me, I could not go to the Temple Beyond Time. I was not worthy.
And...well....that brings me to here and now. This is my chance to help myself, by helping you"
"That's a very sad story," says Valindra. "But what help would you offer me now? Is it your intention to travel by my side to keep me safe from harm? Or do you have a plan, one for which I should be following you somewhere?"
Rhyrie Swiftdark " Well, help any way I can. Though mostly advise and share information, I think. I have never done this before, so I'm not sure what I can do. I'll be by your side. And, sure I have lots of plans...but they depend on what you want to do. I follow you, you don't follow me."
Valindra nods. "I understand. Then, here's my thought. I need allies if I'm going to survive, and one day bring Lord Yeskon to justice. Do you have any suggestions about how to gather allies as a banished princess on the run?"
Rhyrie Swiftdark "Yes I do. And that dose fit in with a more important leaf on the same branch: You need to hide.
Right now, back at the royal palace there is a lot of celebration, but another day or two...maybe three: they will start counting bodies. And they will notice they have a missing princess. And that Lord Yeskon will send people after you.
So what you need to do is hide. Just about any tracker can follow your trail. You need to get out of the woods. The simple, easy way is to just drop into the Underdark. That is what I did. Old chimney, just a couple of strides from here, drop down trek and be safe from being found. I don't recommend that way though.
A better way would to just find an ally, someone who will hide you or protect you. "
Valindra shivered at the mention of the Underdark. "The Underdark? Aren't there... drow, goblins, and all manner of beasts down there? I've even heard there are ilithids in the Underdark."
Rhyrie Swiftdark "Well, sure. But it's not like we don't have hostile elves, humans and goblins up here too. And there are illithids up here too. The important thing is the Faerzress the magical radiation in the Underdark, a remnant of High Magic that helped shaped the Underdark itself. The Faerzress interfere with the casting of teleportation and divination spells. So it's a great place to hide out. They would not even know you were down there. Even divinations would just give the result that you were 'not found' or are 'nowhere'.
And, like I siad....it is what I did. And it worked."
Valindra winces. "But it's dark down there... but I suppose that's helpful for hiding too. Are there any good people in the Underdark I could turn to for help? Maybe the dwarves?"
Rhyrie Swiftdark "Well, yes. It is dark....it's why it is called the Underdark. Dwarves, gnomes, dragons and others. Some are good, some are evil...really A lot like things are up here. And you don't want to stay out in the open. You are way to easy to find."
Rhyrie Swiftdark "Just four treks south of here is an old shaft that leads down to the abandoned deep gnome town of Pitth. The dwarven Deep Kingdom of Thruldinhold is a bit more south of that."
"Well, if I'm headed to Pitth I'll need to inform the young man I'd chosen as a traveling companion that we won't be traveling together. I feel a little guilty making plans with him and breaking them, but I guess it can't be helped."

"Where is the nearest entrance to the Underdark?" Valindra asked. "Better yet, where is the nearest dwarven kingdom?"
