With Mica and Hew clearing out two ghouls out of the way, Ran moves quickly forward to engage the foul monstrosity of a zombie ogre.
His blades whirl in quick arcs, barely slowing down as they search for solid strikes against the rotting flesh of the zombie. He slashes across the thighs then chest of the creature. Digging deep he presses the attack, hoping to bring the monster down and slashes again and again at the torso.
Blades freed from their sheathes, Rancut vicious wound after vicious wound into the Ogre Zombie.
With his second to last cut, the creature falls... but then reanimates and begins to rise again. [Undead Fortitude: 24]
Ranbrings his offhand in with another slice, skittering the zombie's head back into the druid's vines. [Undead Fortitude: 12(fail)]
The last ghoul, now alone, gives a final growl and then turns, fleeing to the Northeast. The dwarf scout pursues at a distance, flinging more arrows at it, while the druid approaches and assists Meiliand Hewwith clearing off the remaining rot grubs and burning them before they can penetrate your skin.

From up in the treetops, a weak voice calls out.
"Hello? We're up here! Do you have any food? We're starving!" A sallow face peeks out from the hole where a tree limb has penetrated the hull of the crashed airship. The section of ship is roughly 40' above the jungle floor, skewered on a broken branch.

"Interesting reaction to the attack of undead."Meili finished cleaning herself from the disgusting grabs and came closer to the remains of the flying ship.
She assessed the height and shook her head. "Too much light, can not fly in here. If they do not have a rope, one of us must climb up."

"No," calls down the voice. "None of the rope we salvaged can reach the ground."
The dwarf scout returns, confirming he was able to kill the last ghoul. He also confirms he had to climb up and lower Ra-Das with his own rope and then climb back down.
The wreck can be reached by climbing the large tree that the ship is skewered on. The tree is covered in vines that should make for a - relatively - easy climb.
[Any who wish to climb up can do so successfully if they pass a DC 10 Athletics check.]

“Make ready, I am coming up!”Mica calls up to the survivors. He drops his pack at the base of the tree, pulls a length of rope from it and secures one end around his waist. He takes a good look at the vine covered trunk, picking his route, and begins to climb.

"If Mica pulls up all our ropes combined and finds some bar inside to throw the resulting rope over it, we here can help to lower everyone down," a bit confusedly explained Meili her idea.
Should others agree, she would get her rope out of the backpack and prepare to pull the survivors.
It is a sobering thing to be confronted with one's own death. It was only natural of course. She was only mortal, even with her previously expected long elven lifespan. Everything came to an end. Even more so when she led as perilous a lifestyle as she had chosen. Danica had always been intrigued in what the stars could reveal about the world and the future. But she had never looked to see what they might have to say about her. It seemed pointless before and now especially considering what Nalomanterys had imparted upon her. Close to the end indeed... Perhaps it was morbid curiosity or hope against hope as she prayed to her goddess, that she looked to the stars and consulted with her map and the other druid instead of joining with any of the others' revelry.
What she divined wasn't a beacon of hope, but cold certainty that spurned her to action. Upon waking later, the elf shoved down her exhaustion and weakness, smothering herself with insect repellant, shouldering her already packed belongings and made the dwarves listen to her enough to convince them to lend her another scout so that she might catch up with the Seekers. They had a head start, but only by that of an hour or two, surely she could push a little faster, a little further and catch up. Her disgruntled guide assured her that their trail hadn't been lost. But as she checked the stars once more to reassure herself, Danica found it hard to rest that night being away from them and knew that she had made the right call.
Pushing herself and her guide to follow their tracks quickly, the druid was soaked in sweat even before they heard sounds of a fight up ahead. Danica broke into a run immediately hearing Mica calling out warnings and feeling the ground shake underneath her feet. Panting heavily as she skids to a stop not but forty feet away from her companions' familiar forms, she barely spares a glance up at the wreckage of the airship she had previously been fascinated by. Instead focused on the Seekers.
Danica certainly looks worse than when they had last left her, though perhaps not dramatically. Her face is gaunt, pale and shining with sweat. But there's a spark in her eyes that hadn't been present before as she begins walking towards them, watching as they were helping rescue the stranded crew. "Need some rope?" She asks of Meili with a tired smile, still trying to catch her breath from her run. Looking over to Ran, Hew and Nalomanterys, Danica gives a solemn nod, her eyes lingering on Hew's own singular one for a bit longer before focusing back to Meili.
"Took you long enough, Captain," Ran says before breaking into a smile. "If we'd known you were going to be so stubborn and follow, we'd have saved a ghoul for you."
He gestures up into the branches.
"Mica's up there. Just waiting to see what help he needs."
Mica grunts in exertion as he pulls himself into the wreckage, thankful for the aid of the first mate. He takes a moment to catch his breath, then begins to look around the hold, checking on the survivors. “Don’t worry, we will get you out of here. I’m Mica, of the Seekers. There is a dwarven village a day or two away. Ra Das is waiting for you there now. Are there any other survivors in other sections of the ship?”He spends a moment to try to stabilize the wounded, using his connection with nature to heal one with the worst wounds.
He sticks his head out of the hole in the side of the ship and calls down to the others “There are five up here. Some are in pretty bad shape, not sure they can come down on their own.”He hears Meili’s idea and gives a thumbs up as he drops one end of his rope. “Tie at least one other rope on the end of this, I’ll rig up some sort of sling and you can lower them down.”
He turns back and searches the hold for something to run the other end of the rope over for leverage, perhaps one of the bars from the brig if there are any. He will rig a loop in the free end of the rope to go under the arms and around the torso of one of the survivors, ready to help lower him down when those on the ground are ready. He calls out to the others “Let me know when you are ready and I will send the first one down. You will have to let out the rope and keep tension on it to lower them.” He pauses and squints at the group below “Is that the Cap’n?”
Nalomanterys picks up a stick and uses it to examine the undead corpses. Blue magical markings... fleeing when defeated? A spark of sentience perhaps, or more likely the control of some necromancer. Did the Thayans make it out this far? ((Can Nalomanterys make some sort of check here to puzzle out what that mark and their behavior means?))
As he's looking at the corpses from as close as he can stomach, he hears running behind him. Expecting a ghoul, he whips around, ready to conjure up a beam of ice, but his guard drops when he sees the captain. "Ah. Hello, Ms. D-- I mean, Captain. Not so easily torn from the world of the living, are we?"
As Mica gets things prepared above, Nalomanterys moves closer to the wreck so he can feather fall if the rope sling doesn't hold.
As Danica reconnects and the party begins to organize the rescue, the scout who escorted the captain speaks quietly with the scout and Druid who come with the rest of the Seekers. Hew walks over and the four of them speak, casting uneasy glances around the jungle. Then the two scouts head off in different directions, moving quietly.
Hew and the Druid approach the others under the wreck in the tree. “Whatever you’re doing,” Hew says with hushed urgency, “Do it quickly.”

Mica sees Meili’s sign and calls out “Coming down!”He gets the First Mate and Nahar to help him with the others and rigs a sling under the arms and around the torso of the individuals as they send them down one at a time. They focus on those with the most injuries first and sends them down in order:
Veliod
Captain Bravewing
Brax
Nhar
First Mate
Mica realizes the Captain will likely grumble at not going last, but he has no time for it and will physically force them into the sling if necessary. After the First Mate goes down, Mica takes one last look around the wreckage for anything worth salvaging and then takes a minute to look out over the jungle, using the height of the wreckage to his advantage to look for nearby landmarks or trouble.
