Danica does not look away as she stares up at the horrifying face of the already dead creature, sweat cold on her skin and Holy Symbol shaking from the tremble in her fist as she held it. But she stood firm as it stared her down before slowly turning away. The elf looked away and down, letting out a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding, now practically hyperventilating at what she had just done, pressing the back of her hand to her mouth as she tried to quiet her stomach that was rebelling everything that she had just done, especially the smell of the reptilian's carcass.
Trying to focus on Meili's words, Danica replies in barely above a whisper, "It might go away forever if it forgets about us. I don't know these creatures. But it's only forced to walk away for just a minute. After that, it's anyone's guess. But if it gets hurt, that would knock sense into it and it'd attack again. I'm assuming the best action we can take is moving as quickly and quietly away from it as possible." The elf scans the surroundings for Hew, trying to confirm whether she had the right idea or not as she moves towards where the tree had fallen to begin to look for survivors.

Ran groans and blinks a couple of times as the intense pressure eases off of his chest. He pulls himself back up into a standing position, taking a deep breath as he does and shaking his head out. He gets ready to attack again, but hearing Danica and Meili speak, he stays his blades for the moment.
He does keep the blades ready in case the creature doesn't turn away and flee.

Mica remains quiet as the hulking dinosaur begins to turn and move away from the group and is stunned as Ran picks himself up off of the ground. How did he avoid getting trampled? Apparently the fighter was made of tougher stuff than he first thought. Mica hurries back and joins Falx in the wreckage, checking on the the two fallen crew members to see if they could be saved. “Hurry! We must get out before the beast remembers we are here.”

Divine magic - such a strange manipulation of the weave. Nalomanterys watches the giant dinosaur contemplate the captain's holy symbol - a symbol its tiny, rotten brain has doubtless never seen and could not comprehend - and then begin to instinctively retreat. Arcane magic was incapable of instilling fear into the undead. The power of the gods... the wizard wondered how they were pulling the strings of fate with the death curse.
As the giant lizard turns to flee, Nalomanterys keeps an eye out for that strange blue glyph over its head like the other ghouls and ogre zombie. Then, he turns to help Mica free from the rubble, wincing as he considers the fates of those the group was tasked with saving. "Mr. Mica," Nalomanterys calls out hesitantly, "do you require aid?"

The decayed sauropod turns and lumbers away from Danicaat full speed, shaking its head back and forth violently enough to spray bits of dead tissue and fluid to either side. It quickly disappears back into the jungle from whence it came, the toppling of distant trees marking its passing.
Moments later, Captain Bravewing and Veliod climb out from the thick vegetation where they had been hiding, somehow having evaded being trampled or crushed by the monster.
Inside the wreck of the ship, Micagets the bad news from Falx that both Brax and Nhar suffered fatal trauma as the ship made its final return to earth. The dwarven scout [the one that had accompanied Danica] was trampled to death when the monster first appeared. Of the druid, there is no sign. Hewsearches high and low for him, eventually concluding that he must have been crushed under the tree, or the ship when it came down.
It is then that the last of the dwarf scouts [the one who led the bulk of the party here]runs back to the battlefield and learns of what has just occurred.
Captain Bravewing walks up to Danicaand shakes her hand, with a weak grip but steady gaze. "That was quick thinking, Selûnite. What is your name? I'll pay a visit to your Lady's temple for certain when I return to Halruaa, and make a donation in your honor."
Retreating some distance in case the monster returns, the party and the survivors of the Star Goddess take stock of their situation. One scout remains, and he is returning to Hrakhamar. He doesn't seem enamored of the idea of escorting three weakened souls - one of them ill - back alone, but he is willing to do so.
It is late afternoon, with perhaps another hour before sunset.

A gutted expression overtook Danica as Mica relays that two of the airship crew hadn't survived, along with the dwarven scout that had ensured she caught up to the Seekers. The elf shakes Captain Bravewing's hand with barely firmer grip than her own and solemn expression. "Danica Amastacia. I'm sure the Moonmaiden would be as grateful as I am for that. I'm sorry that your travels led to such disaster. For your crew and your ship."The Star Goddess was still rather impressive for the simple sea sailor to behold, even wrecked like it was. "I hope Selûne guides the steps of your two crewmates in the night of death and brings them to a new dawn."
But she couldn't ignore her own crew in favor of someone else's. "Is everyone alright? Was worried about you all for a bit there. Mica and Nal getting hit with a tree and Ran getting stomped... I think the only one who I wasn't worried about was Meili." She cracks a tentatively cheeky grin at the other woman, clapping her shoulder.
Scanning the area until she located Hew, the druid asks, "Should we put some more distance between this place and us before trying to make camp?"
Meili returned the smile. "We sure need to get going but ... where? At first, we hoped to get those people down and send them to the dwarves with the scouts while we continued our journey. But now I am not so sure they will make it."
She looked at the hesitant scout. "If we split up now, there is a good chance that horror and any other around will go after us, while your group with slip back unnoticed - it has to be quiet for hours after that horror went through the jungles. Still, you never know and if you need an escort back..."
Meili did not finish the obvious sentence. Constant death around made her almost numb to the death of strangers but she was still able to tell the right from wrong. Escorting the wounded to the dwarves was definitely the right thing to do.
Ran, quickly searching through the wreck, you discover that in the aft section, virtually everything of use had already been consumed or soiled by the 6 souls sheltering inside it in the days after the crash. There were, however, additional debris and sections of the ship scattered throughout the area. As you were told by the navigator back in Hrakhamar, mages and adventurers on the vessel had taken supplies and left immediately after the crash, but you are able to find some remnants of materials. Altogether, you find enough supplies here to complete one explorer’s pack and one priest’s pack.

Ran suggests giving the survivors who are heading back to Hrakhamar the supplies he's managed to scavenge together from the ship wreck.
"They said they fled northwest from the sunken city when the other flying ships started making trouble," Ran says. "I'm no wilds tracker like Mica, but I'd wager that means if we head southeast we might come across the valley this city is in."
He gathers up his own gear.

"We do know where to go," did not argue Meili, "and I am all for going straight to our destination. Just did not think you would let the survivors go through the jungles alone."
Meili meant what she said and would not pressure the group to return to the dwarves. After all, barely alive Captain made it here.
Ran looks from Meili to the survivors to the shipwreck and back to Meili.
"Do you think they need more help like what we provide?" Ran says looking at the downed tree and smashed ship. "I'm no knight of old, rescuing the weak from the wicked. Besides, it's like you said. Meili ran closer to Danica, intending to attack the rotting carcass, but the carcass seemed to be trying to run away.
"Would it go away? Or return at any moment?" Meili tried to speak quietly. The monster was obviously under a spell, and she did not want to break it.
She did not attack either instead turning to the people behind the tree and signaling to move away while they could.
