“Reply: I suggest using thier transportation. That way if it gets damaged it’s thiers and not ours. Also if it were happen to ‘crash’ and get ‘damaged’ we might be able to salvage some ‘scrap’ from the ‘wreckage’.
From the co-pilot's chair, Korvo watches Fayva as she prepares all pre-flight systems and takes the stick for takeoff. To prevent "misunderstandings" Korvo makes certain the ship's transponder is registered with all factions as a visiting civilian light transport, but does not provide the flight plans to anyone except Queen Lucille's kingdom. Once set, he looks at Fayva. "Okay kid, you're up. Keep to commercial transport altitude and flight lanes, maintain recommended flight speeds, and no irregular movements. I'll monitor for radar contacts or weapons locks... in case anyone confuses us for their enemies." Korvo begins to flip several switches, then turns on the internal comms. "Hey guys, we're moving like civilian traffic now, which puts us on everyone's scopes. Be prepared for evasive maneuver, and to man the weapons, just in case." Korvo sets the ships flight controls for quick transfer to his station. (( Can this be a sustained prepared action? ))
After a few miunets a radio contact comes in "This is a guard for the royal city. State your business or turn around. If you fail to do either we will be opening fire on you"
"Roger that control, this is the Hydian Wanderer on approach. We are a civilian mercenary outfit seeking employment. Our flight plan has been sent for pre-approval. Copy?" Korvo sighs slightly, then mumbles under his breath. "Let's hope they're hiring."
There is a brief pause in communications before they return "You are permitted to land on platform 9. We ask that you power down any ship weapon systems you have as well as handing us your weapons while you are within the city. From there you may go to a few places for jobs. The guard barracks if you wish to be helping inside the city, The nearby military base if you wish to help with outside the city. Or you can attempt to get an audience with the royal guard or the queen to help protect the royal family. Though that will likely be denied as we don't know you yet"
Korvo let's out an audible breath, "Well, that made me pucker a bit!" He switches over to the external comms. "Roger that control, veering to taxi approach, runway 9. All ships weapons are disengaged. We look forward to working with you. Wanderer out." Korvo looks to Fayva, "Toggle the center console switch that says APP IND until your heads up says 9. Then reduce to maneuvering speed and attitude and follow the indicator lights in. You did good getting over here, this planet had a lot more cross-traffic than you'd dealt with yet." As he's talking, he lights up a cigarette and switches back over to internal comms. "Okay folks, they have rules. No weapons leave the boat unless you want them to be confiscated. We have a small menu of options, local security, military support, or go for the brass ring and see if the folks in charge need a hand. My vote's on the military, but that's because I know how they drink."
"Ah shit sticks. Well doesn't feel right, but guess we have no choice. The Wanderers are professional through and through." Solo says unloading his weapons as he tries ok a group name on the fly.
"You too I guess Astro, best leave that new slugger here."
*BEEP BEEP*, Astro says as he opens the component holding the newly purchased slug gun and lays it on the ground.
“Thanks for the lesson Korvo! I’m starting to get the hang of this I think..”. Fayva says to Korvo. “Ooh, no saber, I’m going to feel naked. Well I’ve got some tricks still- we won’t be totally defenseless.”
She adjusts on her fine clothes and ensures she looks presentable enough for an audience with a queen- if necessary, leaving her weapons behind, she descends the ramp to see the security.
Jan looks sad as he puts his vibrospear and gun alongside the other weapons. At least he still has his special ray intergrated to his hidden comparment. (It’s spectrum ray, which is a spell) “Reply: I hate this.”
Korvo puts on his old uniform, minus the insignia and patches. "Huh... it must've shrunk a little." He sighs. He leaves his armor and weapons onboard, and follows Fayva's lead.
As you desend the ramp you see a small security force there. One man steps forward "I apologize but i will need to check you for hidden weapons. Also, are any of you force sensitive?"
"Not super common but we would like to know anyway. We trust that they wouldn't want to hurt anyone as even though we don't have backing from supergiants like the republic or sith empire, we can still handle ourselves. Though we also would want to befriend the foce sensitives. Not kill them"
"So, anyway. Who do we talk to about work? We're good for all sorts: escort, recon, retrieval... wet work. You name it. Just, no kids. We don't do kids."

Fayva smiles “heh- I like the way you think. Ok let’s do this!”
We use the information on the holonet to fly over to the palace of the queen- communicating our intentions on the way.

Fayva, white knuckled on the controls, nods.

Jan groans and has them search him.
(It's a spell so I dont know how they can find/or remove it)
(They wouldn't)
“no weapons on me. Is force sensitivity common here?” fayva smiles as she asks.
"Not super common but we would like to know anyway. We trust that they wouldn't want to hurt anyone as even though we don't have backing from supergiants like the republic or sith empire, we can still handle ourselves. Though we also would want to befriend the foce sensitives. Not kill them"

"That depends on which faction you wish to work with. Do you guys know that yet?"
"Reply: Whichever faction would pay us more. We are mercenaries after all.
