Summoned from the material plane to the World of Minecraft you arrive with no armour, tools or equipment. Steve the champion of Overland has gone missing. Hordes of the undead threaten to overwhelm the land, while wandering beasts and alien monsters roam through the hours of darkness. If this were not enough; strange invaders have landed on the shores of Overland to raid the nearby villages. Notch has summoned hero's from far and wide to save his world, find his champion and... did someone say slay a dragon?
The Game is D&D, the world is Minecraft.
You may choose any class or character suitable for a fantasy setting.
Lefaris was a rarity in the city-world of Ravnica. Tieflings were not just unusual there, they were unknown as a whole. Having arrived due to walking through a portal rift when she was only a teenager, she quickly adapted to the streets of the endless city. Her skills as a spy, thief, and, yes, assassin, drew the notice of House Dimir. They recruited her to come and work for them. She was sent to infiltrate the Simic Combine, as her race would go unnoticed among the mutations often seen among those labratories.
Lefaris had just gotten her in, and was working inside one of the Simic Combine's labratories when she was pulled elsewhere. She was at work when it happened, helping as an assistant to one of the scientists, when she was transported to a different place entirely. she found herself without anything in a strange world.
Background: Outlander. Ever the wanderer, Chonk happened upon a mysterious pool at the bottom of a waterfall. Sniffing his armpit, he realized that this was a good opportunity for a bath. Glancing in all directions, he slipped out of his clothes and took a dip. Realizing that it was going to require the power of the waterfall to wash the grime away, he swam towards the cliff side. Chill water fell and broke through the matted and mangy hair until he could actually run his fingers through his locks. Very nice. Wanting to find a boulder to sit on, he passed through the falling waters. To his surprise, the other side revealed a land of vibrant colors and geometric consistency unlike anything he had known before.
Veyern was bought as an egg to a wealthy family, to be eatten, but it was a surprised when he was in the hot boiling pan and hatched. The servants, not sure what to do show the Gambson family the neely hatched dragonborn. Seeing his golden scales, and thought that he would bring more wealth and prosperity to the family, adopted him as an only child. He is very spoiled, as the servants do everything for him, lest he get his hands dirty. Outside his servants and lessons he has not ineracted with commoners before. One day a man came in, claming to be a priest from Evening Glory, where you can have ever lasting love, surpassing even death itself. While his parents shooed the priest out, Veyern was enamored by the idea and set out to find the preacher. He was so enthralled that he agreed to try to do some of the hard work to be one of Her knights. He prayed at night and practiced in the day, working harder than he had in the rest of his life. He went into the basement of his house to set up a shrine to her when he saw a particular portal. Without thinking, he crosses it and is in a world he’s never seen before, where everything looked off and different.
Silence was trained from a young age to be a hunter, and to be a killer. Her parents thought her how to use her natural stealth to her advantage. This is not what she wants though, what she wants is a place that is calm and quiet to study in. She's been reprimanded many times for going to the library instead of hunting with her family. She is a great archer, preferring to stay away from the kills and tries her best to avoid killing as much as possible to her family's dismay. On one of her trips to the library, she found an old spell and tried to use this spell without any thought of potential ramifications and ended up in a new world. A world that she is free to find a library and read it to her heart's content, but also a world full of monsters.
Class: Artificer 1 (It is after all MineCRAFT) - Not sure what subclass I will head towards...will decide later
In his clutch Rock Gnomes are named after the first item they craft...this often happens before they leave the crib. Seeing his father working with leather goods most often, Notched Belt (Notch for short) made a strip of leather with notches in it for a clasp to hold on to. Without instruction or guidance he had created a notched belt.
Always a curious mind Notch was always trying different combinations of established creations to see if something new might come out of them. The clutch regarded him as precocious but having potential and allowed him to see what he could accomplish. It was one day when he was in his early 40s, still quite young for a gnome, that he combined his father's bag of holding with a strange pearl that he found in an elder's chest. With a ripping sound the bag of holding vanished and a small portal formed, sucking Notch into a strange new world.
Class: Fighter (going Battlemaster, and planning to use ranged weapons)
Background: Found as a baby with only a note bearing his name, Kethend grew up as an orphan in a large city. Doing what he had to to survive, he learned many useful skills, which he eventually used to become a bounty hunter. With lies and perception he found his quarry, and with stealth and acrobatics he moved to where he could easily beat them from with his crossbow. But it was a lonely life, so when the summon from a different world came, he was eager to accept it.
Background: Gurozwas just settling down. After finishing his time in the cell, being caught as a one-man bandit, he learns to right the wrongs by doing honest work. Simple lumberjack work, in a small village on outskirts, close enough to wilds that he could still hear them and not let his spirit grow still.
Rubbing shoulders with the forest's elven community, he has learned their language to work with them to ensure no sacred groves are desecrated. His has landed the team a lot of work, found steady able bodies to help and felt satisfied with the challenges that lie ahead. Now, what he didn't need was some magic to send him another dimension or something ridiculous he hears in stories...
Background: Sindri is an outlander. She enjoys her solitude and always has. Sindri lives deep in the forest, having all she needs, including shelter - a treehouse she built where she enjoys practicing her spells and learning her pact. She does not know of a family, and the woodland creatures that surround her, is as close as she has ever come to a family. Sindri is completely content, has want for nothing, doesn't need anything to impact her life situation. Little does she know, life has a different story planned for her. As she was out walking her regular route, she isn't one to veer from her daily routine, a portal opened up in the ground in front of her and swallowed her up...
