Now seeing no enemies between them, Sistri calls out to Irmiel. "Come follow so we don't get separated!" She moves quickly down the hallway to catch up with Kris and Llwyd.
Not seeing the tiefling, nor even being sure she could get to it, she attacks the demon frog, trying to bring her longsword straight down on it.
Sistri rushes forward, her blade swinging and strikes the frog creature. A long gash appears across it's back along with the ones that area already there. One of the wounds seems to be healing up partially...it seems this thing heals quickly, but it is still quite injured from all the attacks.
Llwyd meanwhile rushes away down the hallway after the undead, running into the barely lit hall, and around the corner. The frog takes a swipe as he leaves.

(The demon has already used its reaction to take a swing at Llwyd, leaving Kris her full action to dash, which allows her to reach the full distance around the corner to the demon.)
Irmiel is starting to feel left behind as the rest of the group dashes away down hallways after the undead Tiefling. The Dragonkin and wizards continue to fight it out, and she sees another wizard drop, but the dragonkin looks to be on it's last legs from the unending assault.
Meanwhile, the two guards continue to slash at the frog demon.

Attack: 12 Damage: 9
Attack: 13 Damage: 13
Attack: 15 Damage: 12
At the other location, the sound of running feet can be heard further away, and a light quickly draws near until a guard runs around the far corner, shedding light on the situation near Llwyd and Sistri. The undead tiefling, clutching the bag is met with a closed door and turns to face Kris and Llwyd.

Tiefling completely ignored her! Not that Irmiel regretted to be not of the undead's type but felt offended by her inability to stop a villain. She glanced inside (the dragonborn was still fighting remaining librarians) and ran after the group.
Full movement + Dash to the frog demon. Positioning in a way to not strike the guards or Sistri, breath attack: Dragon's Breath (lightning) for 10 (Dex 15 save for half)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dex save: 9 vs DC 15.
Irmiel runs up to the demon frog, letting loose a blast of lightning. The demon manages to dodge out of the way partly, though still gets fried on its side. The thing looks nearly done for.
The undead tiefling, bag in hand, facing three opponents, grins a wicked grin and says, "Too late this time...." Grinning....he casts a spell....and vanishes with a faint pop.
The demon, left to it's own volition, looks to a guard and rakes it's claws towards him. Attack: 19 Damage: 8. Attack: 15 Damage: 11.
Frustration took hold of him as he both lost the bag and failed the recover it. He thoughts wandered to what could have happened if instead of disengaging he had used his action to wild shape. To what it he had used the scimitar to cut the bag from the tiefling’s shoulder. Such was his irritation that he barely noticed as the strike from the fiendish frog, which was admittedly a funny sounding name, at least to the satyr, tried to strike him.
It was the visage of a third guard that brought the druid back to reality. There was no time for regrets. Should I return to battle? He considered for a moment after deciding to first and foremost inform the soldier. The more reinforcements they could get the better.
“Undead are attacking the library.”Or at least they were until the tiefling disappeared with the bag. “Together with a fiendish frog.” Couldn’t forget about that one. “The ghost dragon was defeated, that guy ran with books and we are trying to get more troops to help.” Llwyd said to the guard considering the remote possibility that maybe the runaway didn’t teleport, but just became invisible.
With that in mind he concentrates on his senses, smell and hearing above all else, trying to pick any signal of the runaway. It was hope against hope, he knew, but he could as well try.
Notes: Llwyd tries to notice any sound/smell indication that tiefling is still around (Passive Perception 17)
Llwyd's eyes dart to and fro as he shouts the details to the newcomer. His eyes scan the dusty ground looking for footprints, his ears tweak at the lightest of scrapes....and the fur on his body bristles with the lightest movement of the air. Unfortunately, Llwyd sense no sign from the undead. He's sure if it were just invisible...he'd be able to tell.....the space where it was is empty. Frustration bubbles about inside him.
Kris, Sistri?

Sistri's blade lashes out and the demon collapses....falling into a pile, and then melting into a bubbling pile of goo...that eventually settles into a black greasy smear on the floor.
The sound of battle back in the other chamber is done as well....and all of a sudden the combat seems to be done with.
The guards look around, but seem unwilling to leave the party alone. One of the injured women from the other battle comes trotting up the hallway, looking around, "Did the damned Lich get away?" It seems to be a rhetorical question though as she glances down the hallway. A bad acid burn and some black veins decorate the side of her face, she looks quite badly off, but doesn't seem to pay any attention to what must clearly be painful wounds.
As Kris and Llwyd come walking back down the hallway, she glances at the four of them, but says nothing for the moment. Several guards and other sages and denizens of Candlekeep are showing up now, and there is a bit of a chaotic jumble of people, but the guards seem to keep the group together, and to one side, waiting patiently. Eventually the woman returns, "My name is Teles Ahvoste. I am of the council of Great Readers her at Candlekeep. Your assistance trying to keep the books from the Liches is noted. It seems they were able to get away with some of them. From the First Vault no less. These works have been here since Candlekeep was founded.....thousands of years old...irreplaceable. Why now?" Her thoughts trail off for a moment. Then she sighs heavily and focus on the group. "Alright, who are you lot then?"

"Adventurers." Irmiel did not try to hide deep disappointment. "Here on behalf of Charlie's Company, searching for the information about Netheresian ruins."Librarians were among those people who could (and should) know about the goal of the research. "Was that creature a real lich?!" It somewhat excused the ineffectiveness of her spells and general hopelessness of the battle. "Do you know what books did they take?"
Despite the trials of the day and her injuries, the woman lets a painful smile form, though it turns into a grimace. "Yes. A real Lich. Four of them in fact. You are both incredibly brave, and also incredibly lucky not to have been killed. I think...if they were not so intent on retrieving the books, they may have done more damage. Killing the infamous Miirym...ghost dragon of Candlekeep was feat enough...though, being a ghost, much like killing a Lich, I have a suspicion that death just won't take. We won't know what books they took until we do an audit. With any luck, we've good copies of each of them elsewhere in the library. Now, I'm afraid we have quite a lot to do, best of luck with your search for Netherese ruins adventurers. I'll have the guards escort you back to the court of air."
She seems clearly to have a lot on her mind, and eager to dismiss the lot of you....though stands there, perhaps out of politeness or gratitude, seeing if there is anything else you must ask.
Sistri quickly takes a moment to gather her thoughts, close her eyes, and search out anything that might be near. (Divine Sense: location of celestial, fiend, or undead within 60 ft. plus anything affected by Hallow.)
She then sheathes her sword and places her shield at her back. After listening to the woman speak, she offers. "You look hurt Teles. I can provide some healing if you would let me."
Sistri steps forward, setting her hands gently on Teles' shoulder near the acid burns and black veins. With a whispered prayer to Miekilli, she casts Cure Wounds. (Heals 12 hp) She then tries to assess how injured the woman is and whether she needs more help. (Not sure if she needs a skill check or can otherwise just get an idea of how wounded she is. Medicine check, if needed: 6)
“I am druid and for now I can cast up to three healing spells.” He said approaching Sistri and Teles, having failed to notice any sign of the undead tiefling. There was nothing to notice, he was conviced and the fact only made him more frustrated. “I am also proficient in medicine and would like to be directed to somewhere I can help any injured. The ones in this room may not be the only ones.”
If what happened in Cormyr was any indication it was likely they weren’t. The thought made the satyr consider the woman’s question. The Avowed may not even know the identity of the attackers, let alone their intent. They didn’t have to deal with them, after all.
“The shadowy figure in the center. We saw its like during the attack in Suzail yesterday. The Shadovar. They burned a good part of the city after declaring themselves owners of the Mythallars and swearing death to anyone searching it.” It wouldn’t be strange for them to have magic to fell even a ghost dragon, Llwyd thought remembering the psychic attack one of them had used back them. “Those liches were probably looking for the same thing we are - information on Netherese ruins, on the location of Mythallar. They probably stole the book to both acquire the knowledge and make sure no one else would have it.”
(she needs significantly more healing, which is pretty easy to tell based on her injuries.)
Teles looks at Llwyd after he makes his comments, thoughtfully. "We'd heard rumors of the Shadovar attack on Cormyr. But...the Shadovar are far from here and their feud with Cormyr is well known. This shadowy creature in the center of the battle here was no Shadovar. It was a Lich, and I would stake my council seat on a bet that it was the master of these other Lich. A Lich who is master of other Lich? There is only one such creature I know of, his name is whispered in shadows, but.....amongst those of us who are learned, we know his name. The puppet master, Larloch. Never have I heard of such a brazen outward attack directly by him. Something must be happening for him to come out of the shadows and strike the heart of Candlekeep in such a manner. I can no discount the events are related however. The books in these sections do contain much lore on Netheril history and Mythallars."
With the healing, she seems much more patient and willing to talk. She rubs her forehead in thought. "Please, do not depart until we speak further. For now, return to the court of air. We will summon you after we have recovered. With the Mythal now active, no more enemies will be able to breach our grounds. Take rest."
