Her blade out, Sistri forces herself to enter the ring of light at the front of the cave that reaches through to the Mythallar. Her approaches appears to have gone unnoticed, even by the Shadovar who is currently 'hung up' against a wall...his feet not quite reaching the ground, his head covered in a bag, his hands jammed into a long board stretched across his shoulders, and hung up by chain against the wall.

(So not bound by ropes to cut. How are the hands stuffed into a board? I presume through holes, that are somehow clamped around his wrist. Then the board is chained up onto the wall so his feet don't touch? Can she figure out how that was done - or was someone really strong and just lifted him up?)
(Investigation: 4, if needed to try to determine how to lower or release the Shadovar.
Very, very softly Sistri whispers to the Shadovar. "Seems we have a common enemy in this Queen. I will try and free you."
The gagged head bobs up and shifts about at the sound of the whisper...but doesn't say anything. The hanging body definitely becomes more alert.
Sistri examines the situation. The boards are clamped around his wrists and neck, and simply held together by a steel pin at the back that connects two metal clamps screwed into the wood. The chains are connected to the board. The pins are heavy iron spikes though and jammed in there pretty good. She figures a hammer would typically be used to bang the spike out of place and release the boards....which would naturally make a lot of noise. If she could quietly cut wood, she could also saw him free. Or she could probably lift the chain off the hook above him, there's a small raised rocky area to reach, and she's pretty strong, but he'd be bound still, and you'd have to be careful with the chain to try and keep quiet as he shuffled away.....

Sistri decides that this is perhaps a situation to just use her strength and try to get the shadovar out of here. She sheathes her longsword and prepares to lift he chain off the hook, taking great care to keep hold of the chain to minimize any sound it might make. (STR Check: 16, +3 if Athletics applies.)
Irmiel, nervous that she could not be there to help anyhow, at the last moment decided to send a helper with Sistri Unseen Servant (cast as action). "Just say quietly what you need and he will help you".Obviously, the unseeing helper could not fight but was able to carry something light.
Sistri stands up, reaching high, and lifts the whole man, chains, and board up just high enough to unhook him. She lowers him in a slow controlled fashion, enough so that he manages to find his feet, though his legs are shaking. The faint stirring of the air shows her were the unseen servant is, and she hands it the chain, and then puts an arm under the Shadovar. Together, the two of them limp back to the group, getting away from the tunnel, the Mythallar, and the Queen's servants without notice. Soon enough she's back with the party.

"True beast..." Irmiel helped Sistri to lower shadovar on the ground and - if she needed help with it - to free him from the shackles. The sound of a hammer (or a rock in the group's case?) banging on the pin could be muffled with some cloth and the pin itself, say, oiled for easier (and, most importantly, silent) movement. The now third prisoner was ungagged, of course, and got some water, but then Irmiel could not hold anymore the burning question. "What is going on there?!" There were a couple of dozens more no less urgent questions, but this one simply could not wait.
From the quiet of their hide-away, and with two other prisoners looking on, the group manages to hammer free the spikes with a cloth acting as a damper, and the relative distance and seclusion of their hiding spot. The boards fall away and the Shadovar, grabs his wrists, rubbing them with his hands, and limply falls back. The bag is pulled off his face and his midnight black hair sags in greasy strands as his eyes take in his new surroundings. The gag is removed from his mouth and water offered to him. He gladly takes several gulps, though rubs his neck in obvious pain where the board was pressing up on his jaw.
His keen eyes lock on Irmiel as she asks her question. Coughly quietly, in obvious pain where a purple bruising is making itself clear on his neck, he says, "The Queen had bonded to the Mythallar. She is...discovering its powers." He glances at the group, then says, "Thank you for rescuing me...who are you? Why are you here?"

"As I said, we seem to have a common enemy," Sistri begins. "From what I can tell, this Queen having a mythallar is not really an acceptable situation." She then takes a quick breath. "I fear normally we would be enemies, for we were here following clues to the mythallar as well. But I hope we might help each other in this circumstance." It's only after having spoken she glances to the others in the party, realizing that perhaps they would not have wanted her to speak so openly.
A little anxious, she waits to see what the shadovar will do. "Is there a way to defeat her? Do you have allies that might be able to help you?"
Sistri did not have to worry about Irmiel's opinion. If anything, the wizard counted herself as the most direct in the group, mostly due to the lack of deceptive skills but also for not paying much attention to any sort of politics - interpersonal or international alike. "Yes, where are your allies? And who is that Queen? And what would happen if she learns the powers of Mythallar?"

“Can she complete this bonding, discover the Mythallar’s powers, by herself? I mean, she kept you alive so you must know something she doesn’t. Something she needs.”Said Llwyd broking the silence. He was far from thrilled by the idea of working with a Shadovar, but the man was sure to have more answers that the transformed jackals. With some luck the Queen would be unable to progress with the Mythallar without his help and the party could simply leave that place. “By the way, what exactly is this Queen?”
The druid was not sure he really wanted the answer. Everything seemed to, one way or another, come back to that poem and nothing good truly happened on it. He could not help but ask himself what the Hells was happening on the world. Or, worse, with it. Taking a deep breath, the satyr pulled his token and rested his right palm over the center of his chest, asking the Oak Father for guidance, then focuses his eyes on the pale figure before them as if nothing else mattered or even existed. He tried to notice any expression, and movement, any reaction capable to betray the Shadovar’s thoughts. He tried to read if what the man spoke was worth of trust.
Notes: Apologies for the delay. I'm not on the best health, but getting better. Insight check to see if Llwyd believes on what the Shadovar is saying + Guidance.
The Shadovar eyes the group. Llwyd can tell the Shadovar is concerned and uncertain. Calling him 'cagey' would likely be an understatement. The pale skinned man looks about at the group. "She must have already bonded to it. It will give her considerable power but.....the witch is already a potent sorcerer. She left me alive only because I know of such things...in case she should need me again. She is a powerful sorceress and has ways to sway the mind. If you confront her you will likely end up serving her. If you can lead me into the underground catacombs, not far from here, I can take you to a portal that we can use to escape this place."

That is what the man was freed for, of course, but he ignored quite a lot of questions. "You forgot to tell about your allies. Where are they?" Irmiel made a pause to let the man answer. There were more things to talk about but that point was important.
"We do not plan to confront the queen," (Irmiel indeed did not plan to do so, so, the statement had to sound convincing) "but we would not want to run into your brethren or other unexpected allies either. So far we had to deal with the drow and werejackals, and all of them claimed to be approached by shadovar. Yes, we know who you are and you - well, maybe not you specifically but your kind - already tried to kill us - again, maybe not us specifically but we were there when you attacked Suzail. There is a reason for us to be cautious."
By the way, speaking of caution, allies and drow... "Belaern, do you know that man? Was he among those who came to drow?"
Belaern's voice sounds in Irmiel's mind, "Wha...hmmm...uh....." it almost sounds as if she'd woken him from a slumber. "Oh.. ahem..yes. What was that? Oh, no, I don't know that man. But you must be truly stupid if you haven't just killed him already. The bunch are liars and deceivers."
The man responds, "I did not forget. I have no allies here anymore. The queen and her forces slew the others. I must needs get back to our main forces. It will be a long journey from Cormanthyr Forest, which is where the magical portal I know of reaches to...."

Irmiel sighed. "Feels like liars and deceivers are all we are about to encounter from now on. Well, sometimes a liar can be useful too. As long as he can activate the portal, he can lie all he wants."
Outloud she simply repeated the part about the portal. "Then let us go to the portal. Can you walk, though? And..." (Never name them! Once you name them, you get attached to them!) "... since we are about to escape together... Can we get your name? I am Irmiel."
"I guess heading back is our only option," Sistri says. "It just seems like we should do something. I hate leaving the mythallar to this Queen."
With a sigh she prepares to head out. "Perhaps others might have an idea of what to do." She then looks to Lamorak. "Perhaps in this case your allies will have some way to oppose this Queen?"
"A very wise tactic!" Nodded Irmiel quite energetically if far less fierce than Lamorak. And added with very slight emphasis: "Leave to return with greater forces - smartest move in circumstances."She bit her lip as if contemplating whether to ask or not to ask but curiosity won in the end. "What is it with you and Mythallars, Lamorak? I mean, with shadovar? There are other ways to get magical powers, why are you so hell-bent on getting those particular artifacts?"
Lamorak looks to Irmiel, "They are our birthright. We are the only remaining people of the Netheril empire. The Mythallars represent the height of power and symbolize the lasting might. Since the spell plague, the magic weave has been unlocked in a way not seen since the fall of Netheril. The Mythallars are coming alive. With them, we will once again rise our great nation into the sky to take its place as the paramount civilization on Faerun!" He seems to have gotten caught up in his own enthusiasm for a moment, and puts a hand against the wall to steady himself. The fervor with which he spoke these words hung in the air, sounding very much like the recitations of a cult.
