Following the others back to camp, Ghorbash is happy these two are safe and that he was able to help. Though, he still keeps his distance from the group, by staying a bit out of camp looking out over the night's sky. "I get some sleep. More answers, tomorrow," he says as he rests in his bedroll.
Adoy, seeing that everyone is alright, finds a nice shrub as close to the cart as possible and makes a little bed of leaves and grasses amongst the roots. When that is done he asks Kathleen to wake him for the second watch, then goes to sleep.
The night is peaceful, and you all earn a good night's sleep. Dwinkle as well wakes up refreshed, having been very quiet the entire day before after Kathleen's reprimand, and is back to chattering away at trivialities. His first words on waking to the person on watch are,
Kathleen who went into Trance after her watch opens her eyes to look at Dwinkle as she hears his words. She feels a sting in her eyes as her first sight in over 6 hours is of the golden pants and she quickly closes them almost instantly. She pretends like nothing happened.
Almost 3 AM here so posting Kathleen's action in advance since I'm off to bed again.
Kathleen will stop pretending to be in Trance after one more person wakes up. After devouring a big breakfast. She will say, "So, anyone want to investigate the weird hole we found last night?" Her spirits are high as is usual for her.
Ghorbash quietly packs up his camp and secures everything in his pack. "Yes, let us leave," he says very matter of factly. Once camp has been broken, he joins the others on the way to the pit found last night.
"Don't worry, master Glittergold," Ayoola says and let's out a laugh. "I can clean anything with may magic." And she demonstrably uses Prestidigitation to clean her clothes of the dirt they accumulated while travelling.
Is the hole that way? I assume Ennis will also go with us to the hole as it was his idea in the first place.
As the party reaches the hole, (redirecting Dwinkle this way if he went the wrong way) Kathleen says, "So, does anyone have anything we can firmly stick into the ground and tie a rope around? I don't trust the broken ladder."
Yeah, Ennis would have made sure to grab anything Kathleen left behind as well as his own gear.

Kathleen wishes Ghorbash a goodnight. She eats her dinner (probably fish) and then says, "Well, I'm going to go on first watch."
She lightly walks around the camp's perimeter and keeps an eye out for danger.

[OOC: The DM will say if everything is alright ;) ]

Dwinkle grumbles over the fish but eats them anyway.
The morning is as clean and fresh as the previous night, and you feel newly invigorated. The mountains are only a score of miles away.

"I'm in for some exploring!" Ayoola says and nods to Kathleen. "Haven't done that since I was a kid."
"I will join you, I do love a good tunnel." Adoy says as he emerges form beneath the shrub where he was sleeping.
Gris "Yes we can explore it if it is ok for mr Dwinkle"

"Oh all right! But we mustn't go anywhere too dirty."

Kathleen lets out a deep sigh and rubs her forehead. Her smile has dropped and she looks extremely annoyed.
Gris: "We will do what we can to not get you dirty mr Dwinkle"
"Don't worry, master Glittergold," Ayoola says and let's out a laugh. "I can clean anything with may magic." And she demonstrably uses Prestidigitation to clean her clothes of the dirt they accumulated while travelling.
Dwinkle is awed.
"You are a great master of magic indeed! Let us be off, then!"
He promptly begins walking in the direction from which you came.
