"I am from the lands of the Tamiir-Quah, in the northern mountains," Rashimi says. "I've been hunting for a little over a year, ever since I came of age. Not goblins, just anything that needs dealing with. These ones ended up falling under that category." She shrugs.

"It sounds like you've traveled an awful long way then. What brings you to Sandpoint? Did you come for the festival?"

Kraig settles back into the saddle, listening to his new compatriots' stories before responding, "From Janderhoff orig'nally, bu' ended up goin t' th' Twilight Academy fer' Archaeology, Tha's where I been th' las decade or so. Fightin' wise... well, tha's a wee bit personal bu' suffice t' say I'd been through an accident on a research trip, and found it necessary to learn t' survive on me own. Thankfully, I found a talent in archery, which I've gotten a chance now t' use on more n' just targets and unsuspecting grad students with missed deadlines...non-lethally o' course." He gives a short chuckle and a wink at the last statement. "I came t' the festival and Sandpoint to take up glassblowing and try relaxin' a bit. It was sort of a forced vacation fer me nerves, I don' plan on staying away from my job fer too long."

"I was hunting, this was in the area, the festival sounded fun." Rashimi shrugs in answer to Aldern's question.

Somewhat uncertain of if the last question was for the group or moreso directed at Rashimi herself, or perhaps even strangely reluctant to say, Zelvo remained quiet on the subject and appeared more interested in keeping an eye out for any signs of either boar or trouble lurking along their path. However, he was not deaf, but apparently easily distracted, seeing the occasional side-long glance back over to any speakers or the absent-minded nods in agreement.

Aldern is satisfied by the responses you all give him, although he seems to focus on Nina, who remained silent during all this. Eventually, you all come upon a lone boar in its' territory. It charges you, full boar ahead! Roll for initiative!

Zelvo goes immediately wide-eyed seeing the boar and at best gets out a curse while trying to maneuver his horse out of the way!

 Kraig isn't expecting the charge, and is slow on his reaction to prepare for a counterattack.

Rashi gives a shriek of joy as the boar charges, wings fluttering at top speed.

Nina seems about to answer Aldern's question, having been patiently allowing the others to respond on top of carefully managing the horse ride as to not fall off the side. However, before her response is able to leave her lips, her attention is drawn to the boar. With a slightly surprised sharp inhale that seems to suck whatever words she had back into her body, she steadies herself on the horse, preparing to manage spellcasting while on horseback.

Once Nina is able to steady herself on the horse, effectively pulling it to what she hopes it understands as a halt, her eyes focus entirely on the boar. For a quick moment she considers something before the familiar purple glow begins to form around her fingertips. As she prepares to hurl the mote of fire, she speaks loud enough in Aldren's direction. "Apologies if this ruins the pelt. But, it's the best I have without possibly causing some unneeded issues."

With a grimace that was as much for the struggle of getting the horse under control as it was hearing the sound of Kriag's misfortune, Xemnez eventually and hurriedly disembarks from his mount. "Worry not, Kraig. On my way!" He called out after and immediately start to go for his warhammer, only to stop short of grasping the haft. Rather realizing it being allowed to roam about could harm the others, he took but a moment to mentally brace himself, before then rushing forth to grab it by the tusk in a madman's scheme. 

But, if he could just get hold of one, then with every once of strength in his body, he'd start hauling it away from Kraig and hold it firm to keep it from charging anyone else. "Quake not O' Child! Fear not the dark things. So long as you hold firm onto her mantle, she will not let you stray." He chanted during the struggle, drawing forth upon his goddess' sphere to cloak himself in a gossamer purple aura of protection.

Kraig rolls with the boar’s attack, landing pretty hard on his shoulder, a shock wave of pain spreading across his side. The dwarf recovers quickly, pulling and notching an arrow before releasing it double time into the boar’s shoulder.

Nina frowns, clearly both impressed and semi worried that the boar is still fighting. She gives the group a quick look over before taking a deep breath, beginning a new incantation quickly. As she does, purple energy swirls around her hands, drifting with the somatics of her spell. However, the energy seems to suddenly shift into a dark Grey, Nina's eyes becoming hazed and distant for a moment as the energy collects along her hand and wrist, forming a slightly scaled and clawed skeletal replica, more masculin in nature. With a forceful push, the hand lunges at the boar, for a moment almost peeling off of Nna before it attempts to sink its claws into the creature, leaving Nina to inhale quickly, eyes refocusing on the battle in front of her as she tries to maintain her horse cautiously.
