Lady Kaede calmly but commandery calls out "All of you...put your weapons away, and step away from that which you have no knowledge of. This blade is my responsibility, and I bare the blame for any curses it may contain."
Continuing, "Rum and Judal-san, step away, and quit your fighting. This blade is obviously a Muramasa blade, and none of you should be burdened with it, as I can see it is affecting you in ways that are incongruous to the harmony which you speak so highly of."
She'll then step over to Greko, and gingerly help him back to his feat. Bowing to him, she'll graciously apologize "Greko-sama, are you okay? I deeply regret putting you through that trauma. Had I known the true origin of this blade, I would have not blemished our friendship with it impacting you as such. And I sincerely apologize for the way our allies have treated you. You are not deserving of any punishment. ONLY I AM TO RECEIVE THAT RETRIBUTION."
On hearing Lady Kaede's instruction, and with her knowledge of the sword alongside the fact she had carried it without incident for far longer than Greko held it, Rum backs away.
"My apologies, I am always wary of mind control after past experience, as you are aware Lady Kaede", he says, then looks to Melania and Judal. "I believe Greko is himself once more and will give no more trouble. Although I expect his jaw will be too sore for more stories for a while".
While tending to Greko, Kaede pulls her cloak aside and reveals a slender vial of glowing green liquid, which she removes from her belt and pops the lid off. “Take this, Greko-sama, and drink it. You’ll feel right as rain in no time flat.”
@Antlan: It’s a potion of greater healing, which per the DM back in post #915, heals for exactly 20 HP.
Princess Zelda watches this exchange in frozen horror, finding herself unable to formulate what to do next. There's a fight. Then it's over. Then the fog and the attempt on the blade, and then that too ends. Lady Kaede takes sudden control of the situation, issuing commands, taking accountability of the weapon (which the Princess notes she has dubbed a Muramasa blade), and then the Princess slowly strides forward, trying to ascertain what is going on.
"You handled that well!" Zelda says, somewhat shocked by the whole event. Her focus is on Lady Kaede. She's clearly in awe of this girl, barely a couple of years older than herself, stepping in.
Judal tries for the sword but apparently the bipedal cat has somehow secured it and moved it to another before his hands can grasp it. Perhaps he is not the only one who can see when none can see. Whatever the case, Judal returns to his original position, more or less, before allowing the fog to drop. Once it has he sidles up to Malenia, the closest to one he really knows and trusts amongst this group.
"Do we need these people?" Judal asks Malenia quietly. "Do we even want them? We've only just met and they are fighting amongst themselves to the point that you are slugging old... men? into unconsciousness. I do not trust them at our back..."
Greko sits up from being knocked out, takes the potion from Kaede, and drinks it barely able to open his mouth. The potion heals his jaw, mostly, but not his pride “Thank you Lady Kaede. No apologies needed from you my dear” he stops talking and rubs his face. His head still in a daze from the stunning punch he received after the curse was broken. He begins to wonder if it was his story that was so upsetting or maybe there’s no place for the elderly on this trip. “I….think I will go rest….” He gets up to move downstairs but stumbles still feeling the effects… ”I should sit” he says to himself and plops down on the ground laying looking up at the sky….He blurts out as he stares out at the fog laying on the ground “The fog is unnatural” and passes out.
Kaede bowed to Princess Zelda, her voice hoarse. "The victory is yours, Princess. Your courage lit our path, even in darkness." Her gaze swept the deck of the ship, and out to the oncoming unknown ship. "But the fight isn't over. We have company, my lady. Perhaps the mystery of this sword can wait for another day?"
Upon seeing Greko passing out, Lady Kaede's eyes meet those of Princess Zelda, a spark of steel glinting within. "A warrior's rest sounds tempting, but the drums still echo. And we, Princess, are ready for your command."
Everything happens so quickly, right in the wake of Judal's speech, and then there is fog. Stasolya, with her good equine instincts, keeps her feet still when she can't see, but when the fog drops, she reaches out and places a hand on Lady Kaede's shoulder. She too meets Princess Zelda's eyes, nodding in agreement with Lady Kaede's statement. An unfortunate tragedy... but it was quickly diffused and responsibility taken where it was due. Of course, what seeds of suspicion...
A moment later, with a passing concerned glance at Judal conferring with Malenia, she trots across the deck to Greko passed out. She leans down to check his pulse and feel his forehead...
"O-oh"Malenia's stern expression breaks into one of Apologetic bewilderment. "I Uh......I'm Sorry for striking you" Calling out to Greko as the Lizardfolk trots off, rubbing his jaw only to fall unconcious some feet away. "Oh......well Bantha's scat.....Apologies Rum, I saw him attack and did not know the weapon had taken control of his mind." Sheepishly scratching the back of her head with her Prosthetic hand. Turning to Judal as he whispered to her.
"Judal, I.....do not yet know. I do know that three of us cannot hope to accomplish what this larger group can. I know our chances of success are better with these people. I know most of them, They are trustworthy and capable......We should give them a chance. The infighting you witnessed was the result of a 'cursed' weapon, It seems I may have jumped the bow when it came to stopping the altercation." Her emerald hues lock onto the blade she heard called a 'Muramasa'......Such a weapon would make a fine lightsaber....a replacement for her own weapon which was falling into a state of disrepair.
She flicks the fingers of her prosthetic hand, making the Blade under Rums foot tremble. "I can move that without any need for anyone to touch the weapon, if you would take your weight off of it."
Once the fog clears, Rum looks around having heard movement but seen no source. On seeing Greko given a healing potion and hearing Melania apologise, he relaxes a bit even though he is as always wary.
As the sword trembles under his foot, he looks to Lady Kaede and back to Melania, "I don't know Melania, I think we should hear more of this Muramasa from Lady Kaede. It doesn't seem to affect her as it did Greko, and we cannot be sure how it will affect any other here".
He looks across at Greko again, seeing he has now passed out, "That was quite the punch, Melania. It seems we might be aboard this ship for some time. Perhaps once we have properly rested, we can train together?".
With that said he draws out the orb he retrieved from Titan Forge, "And speaking of our voyage, I picked this up at Titan Forge as well, but do not worry it hasn't effected my mind. It is an Orb of Navigation. It can aid us in our journey to the Southern Oracle, or wherever we choose to go, by showing us the best path".
Violet waits for a few minutes for everything to settle down. She breathes deeply and slowly, trying to calm her frayed nerves. Then she approaches Rum and gently tugs on his sleeve to get his attention.
"So... um... who's 'Gannon'?" she asks.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
"That is not an easy question to answer", he says as he waits for Lady Kaede and Melania to figure out the issue of the sword. "From what I understand, there was in ancient times an evil necromancer called Sauron. Back when friend Greko was middle aged I think. He was defeated, but recently came back using the name Ganondorf and started this scheme to take over the world. He had collected powerful allies like the Lord of Darkness and Vader helping him. He has been collecting powerful artifacts from all across Hyboria to further his aims, and recently merged his being with the Lord of Darkness to become an even more powerful entity. This entity calls itself Ganon".
He searches Violet's face to see her reaction, to what was really a brief summary.
"Perhaps friend Greko can elaborate when he wakes up".
Unable to stifle a chuckle as Rum expressed Malenia's next question on his own accord, She too was interested in training with him. Considering what she had heard and the way he had disarmed the Lizardfolk. "Certainly, Never one to turn down a training partner."
Folding her arms over her chest, tapping her brass finger against the flesh of her arm which would cause the blade under Rum's foot to continuously tremble and shift. Ready at a moments notice to fling the blade high into the air and out of reach the moment Rum's weight leaves it.
Looking over the strange object Rum produces.....leaves her a little underwhelmed......infact barely Whelmed at all. "An orb of navigation......." She stares at what effectively is just a fancy looking rock...."And.....How does it work? Do you throw the rock in the direction you want to go?"

"As much as I am appreciating the foot massage, feel free to stop any time", Rum comments as Melania continues vibrating the sword.
When she describes the method of using the orb, he chuckles. "You were far more serious on our last mission, although that may just have been because we were 800ft up riding on Death Hawks".
He is about to test out the orb when he suddenly becomes cautious, "You know, I was thinking of testing it, but after what just happened I think I will wait. I am not absolutely sure how it works, or what it does when it gets to its location truth be told".
Chuckleing at the remark, still flicking her finger and moving the blade under Rumble foot. "I've jumped from higher up than that since then, Needless to say that experience may have mellowed me out." The shifting of the blade came to a halt finally, stepping closer to examine the strange orb.
"Hmmmmm I think it would be wise to 'test' this object, perhaps after a hot meal and a decent nights sleep." Moving away but keeping a close eye on the blade, Thinking on her intention to perhaps craft the weapon into something that could be of use. Looking around at the gathered adventurers, speaking aloud to no one in particular. "We do have quite the crew now, Whatever our destination and the challenges that await us, Im confident we can prevail."

"I envy you, Melania. We have spent the time since last we met underground, although I did find another flying companion", Rum replies.
He looks about at those chosen ones milling about the deck. "I do believe you are right. Of course we are now more than the Ardent Remnants and Andromeda's Answer. Perhaps another name to signify our unification?".
With the last question, he raises his voice a little so the others know he is addressing them all.
If they look to him, they see a lithe, fairly tall at 6' tabaxi, with a mixture of light and dark short grey fur and black leopard like spots on his head and down his back (including the backs of his legs, arms and on the end of his tail). He has an odd black colouration to his right forearm resembling a claw. His eyes are an emerald green colour, and an earring with a blue crystal dangles from one of his ears. He wears a long sleeveless dark blue coat over a comfortable brownish grey short sleeve shirt and trousers. On one side of his shirt over his chest is a silver pin and on the other a jewelled insignia showing a claw. Across his shoulders there is draped a cloak of fur which is a blue so dark as to be almost black, with patterns that seem to shift and ripple. His clothes appear brand new, if a bit dusty, and he carries no weapons and wears no armour.
Lady Kaede still sits next to Greko, having placed his unconscious head onto her lap. Looking up, you can see a tear running down her cheek. She glances over to her new friend, the lovely Thea, and gives her a pleading, plaintive look. “Can you help me? No one else here seems to care about the wellbeing of Greko-sama! He needs our help!”
Pointing to Rum and Melania, she calls out “And you two…make yourself useful and either show that you care about your allies, or make the ship ready for a possible enemy encounter with that other ship getting closer and closer!”
Having noticed Malenia's continued interest in the sword under Rum's foot, Judal walks over to the rail of the ship and looks out towards the other that Lady Kaede is worried about. His back turned, Judal only glances back over his shoulder to complete a casting of Heat Metal upon the sword under the Tabaxi's foot before looking out across the sea as if that is all he has been doing. (Perception Check: 14 to get a sense of if the other ship was one of the convoy or not... Convoy? Fleet? Whatever.)
"Friend Greko is sleeping it off, he is tougher than he looks, and been through more than we can know", Rum responds to Lady Kaede. "And that ship was some way away, and likely another refugee ship", he adds, but does look out at it to see if it has got closer.
It is then that the sword starts to heat up, and he lifts his foot slightly letting out a quiet grunt of pain.
"It seems the curse goes beyond what we know. First it took control of friend Greko, then an unnatural fog appears around it, and now it has become red hot", he says looking down at the sword.
Her gaze shifting to meet Lady Kaede, the Jedi making no move to either task so rudely given to her by what effectively is a complete stranger. In the corner of her fixed gaze, noticing the Tabaxi shift his weight off the blade. Her brass finger flicks once more, the blade that had been the cause of so much concern lifts from the deck of the ship and dangles 30 feet above Malenia's Scarlet locks. Holding it there, out of reach to all except her. Turning away from Lady Kaede and moving over towards Judal.
"Greko will be fine, I didnt strike him that hard......Be mindful of your tone in the presence of Strange company." Leaning against the rail, a foot away from Judal as the Blade simply spin's on its tip high above her, Constantly moving her Brass finger in the process. "Well Judal, What do you make of the company?"
