Rum looks at Greko with a perplexed expression, and a little sympathy.
"Instructions? I'm not sure what you mean, are you ok? Do you mean chores? Surely they can be done on the morrow, today we are celebrating", he says holding his fist up and nodding his head to the old lizard.
"Although the songs are not the happiest. How about something more up beat?", he says to Thea.
"Oh do be quiet, Hops", he adds looking to Judal as he howls.
Greko bows his head “Of course! Let us enjoy some merriment. Why don’t we talk to the singer. Tell them what we are celebrating so they can pick a better tune while I’ll handle the donkey”
"The singer? You mean Masie? Um, do you want me to help you go back to your room, Father? You seem confused. Perhaps a lie down will do you some good", Rum replies, getting very concerned by Abbot Greko's behaviour.
"Cheer up. We are back together after so long, it should be a joyous occasion. Tell me all you have been doing since I left. Father Duncan over there seems as confused as ever", he asks of them, pointing to Greko as he mentions Father Duncan. "He must be what, 110 by now?".

Lady Kaede's blood ran cold. Rum's words confirmed her worst fears. Disbelief battled with a surge of protectiveness. "Rum," she said, her voice low and urgent. "Look at me. Do you remember who I am?" She squeezed Rum’s hand, hoping the physical contact might jolt their friend back to reality. "This isn't who we are. We need to remember. We need to wake up."

Greko looks at Kaede "Ah so you have not lost your senses then either Lady Kaede? It seems Rum believes we are in the monastery, Judal is now a dog, and Thea, well is singing and sobbing....."
Rum looks from Lady Kaede to Greko, confused as to what they are talking about. Father Duncan can often become confused, but Sister Marion not so much.
That could mean only one thing....
He laughs, "You almost had me there. You jest of course. Very funny".
Greko laughs "Of course! You know how uhh sister is, always making jokes. So when do we crack open the famed ale....The older I get the thirstier I get before my nap time"Greko looks at Kaede and then back to Rum
"No." Thea was frank while the others worked out figuring out who they were. "I said, no." She was firm when Rum and Greko insisted she sing something else, something happy, something in celebration. Neither of them could take anything seriously to save their lives. "For what?" She muffles. Celebration of what? The end? The end of her race? The end of a life she didn't remember she had until now? The end of her existence? The end of existence as they knew it? "It's all pointless..." She trails off. It's because of humanity, it's greed, and it's failures, that's sentenced her to her fate. The perpetual promise of a death before getting to experience life.
J-hound jerks awake with bark and a snap before looking around... Climbing to all four again he sniffs around for a while, pausing to look here and there and everywhere... He wanders about aimlessly and pointlessly as time ticks by. Time... which he has only the vaguest sense of but... he should care? The hound shakes it's head vigorously, ears flapping as he does. He wanders some more, in no particular direction for no particular purpose, before once more turning around several times and flopping down with a harumph.
"Go and help yourself", Rum replies to Greko, pointing over to nothing that Greko can see. "I think that Masie has already had a bit too much. She has reached the melancholy stage, and a bad case", he says sadly.
"Has she developed the gift of foresight since I have been away?", he asks Greko, misinterpreting Thea as just Father Duncan's occasional lisp.
(OOC: Apologies if Thea is is not pronounced Thee-uh, which if not makes the whole lisp thing not work)
"Greko," Lady Kaede murmured, her voice barely a rustle against the featureless gray. "There's something wrong with them. They don't remember us. We need to break this, whatever spell it is. Do you have a Dispel Magic prepared? If not, perhaps..." her voice trailed off, searching for another option. "There might be a magical component to this place, a source. We could try finding it, disrupting it somehow." Her voice firmed with resolve. "We need to break them free. We can't leave them like this."
Louder, to all assembled:
Sister Marion, as stern as the featureless gray around them, cleared her throat. "Alright, children," she began, her voice surprisingly firm for a supposed nun. "We've all had a long journey, and these strange lands can be taxing on the spirit. It's time we turned to the one true source of solace – prayer. Gather yourselves close, all of you. We'll find strength and clarity in shared devotion, and a good night's rest will surely follow." Her eyes, sharp with hidden purpose, flickered between Rum, Thea, and Judal. Perhaps a touch of piety, a shared focus, might disrupt the strange magic clouding their minds. It was a desperate gamble, but in this desolate realm, hope clung to them like the last wisps of warmth.
Greko nods and quietly says to Lady Kaede "Indeed they haven't forgotten what they are doing. They think they are doing something completely different. Forgetting is the task but this is not forgetting. They are trapped in an alternate reality it seems. Rum here thinks he is back at the monastery..One moment" Greko walks over to Rum and attempts to slap him in the head. Greko smiles at Rum"I wanted to see if you are keeping up with your training Rum."
JHound bolts. One moment he is laying sad but otherwise content on the floor but then the next he is running off, perhaps on the scent of some imagined rabbit?
Moments later Judal, in human form, come walking back to his original spot from the opposite direction. There is no directions to be known here where all is the same and there are no markers or landmarks... But if Jhound had run off North it is from the South that Judal comes walking back into view from.
He pauses and looks around curiously with his Eldritch Sight ((Detect Magic)) to see if he sees anything differently. Next he sits down and pulls out various items - A pearl, some carved stones, a bit of charcoal and a bit of jerky. He eats the jerky, probably just a bit of a snack... The rest he uses to ritually cast identify to try to get some sense of this area or region or dimension or whatever it may be.
Greko continues to watch dog Judal run around aimlessly and then turn back to normal judal for a snack "Someone should check on him too..." Greko sighs and rubs his temples
Rum looks around wondering where the children were that Sister Marion was trying to wrangle, and then when Father Duncan attempts to slap him, he backs away. Something was not quite right with these two.
He decides to go and find some of his other friends that he hasn't seen in a while. Hopefully they will be in better spirits and more pleased to see him.
He heads off in the direction Hops went, just as Judal appears from the other direction.

"Are you not pleased to see me?", Rum replies. "I am certainly happy to see everyone here".

"Ah my eyes...Looks like I need new glasses...Shall we tell Masie we need something more upbeat for the celebration. Maybe she forgot hmm?"
Rum nods and wanders over to Thea and Lady Kaede.
