"Call me Rum", Rum calls out over the rushing wind in response to both Slade and Melania as he continues to circle on Keg.
"Yes, I am an Auryn bearer. Let's move to Old Watch then and formulate our plan, now we can see what we are dealing with", he shouts veering towards Old Watch and hoping the others follow suit.
He keeps a close eye on Old Watch as it becomes clearer, making sure there is nothing waiting for them there. He also tries to get used to commanding Keg, finding the Hawk responsive to the slightest of adjustments.
Smoke continues to gently roll through the air in columns, and sheets of it skirt past the flyers as they bank to the north and head along the crater's rim, toward the ruins of Old Watch. They pass an abandoned watch tower along the way, collapsing to their right, before landing in the courtyard commons of Old Watch.
The buildings are all beyond repair. Roofs are collapsing. Doors hang off hinges. Glass lays broken beneath every window. The smell of rotten furniture and mold growing into hairy sores fills the air. This place is unwholesome. Wooden shingles are so coated in sickly moss that the roofs almost look thatched and its a miracle any of the paint is still hanging on the walls. Speaking of walls, more than a few have collapsed.
There are no sounds. No creaking doors or shutters. No cats meowing or rats tittering and scurrying about. It is deafly quiet.
Looking around at the old shattered remains of a once great place Delph seems to have an interest in the area. As they land in the courtyard surrounded by the dilapidated structures of the past the fairy zooms around a bit like a bouncing ball of blue light. They Death Hawk seems to watch the blue ball with a bit of hunger but otherwise came with the rest of the folks for this mission.
Delphinium flutters over to whoever is closest and says. "So, right! We are all here. This place seems safe. So we got a spot to operate from! Oh! Right, umm. Beyond knowing I'm called Delphinium you should all know I'm super fast and won't kill anything. You all are fine to but... I try to discourage it... at least for now." The fairy gives a midair bow."
They notice the brownie in the mix of folks joining and they fly down to say hello to the tiny one. Delph seems to be even smaller though and totally pouts a bit seeing the brownie is a couple inches taller. "I can fly though." They say as if that settles the issue. They do smile after that and say "Height aside, it's nice to see more little folk. You think we could sneak up to the triforce? I can shrink one more person if we want to try that way."
The fairy looks to Godshell after introducing themselves a bit better to Slade, "We could try sheer speed." Then to Rum "Or a frontal assult!" Then to Melania "I'm open to any ideas." The fairy then looks around the ruins of the old watch and says "Perhaps we make sure this place is safe first? Maybe we can use it as a distraction. Got to make sure we get out. I think the easy last is getting to the triforce. We could just dive bomb it from the sky, dive right through the wyrven things I saw. Maybe we could make a big explosion to draw them away?"
The fsiry looks around again. There is something about the place that seems to have the fairies attention. "Definitely should check around. Question is what's the plan after!"
Keg swoops down and lands on the common within Old Watch and Rum vaults from his back, patting the Hawk's neck before moving across to watch Delph flit about. He sniffs the air and wrinkles his nose.
When everyone has landed and Delph has settled, he kneels down a short way from Slade, resting his paws on his one raised knee.
"Fellow...Rogues?", he says pausing mid sentence to find the right words. So used to referring to his companions as Embers it is odd to not have a name for their party.
"Delph makes some good suggestions, although I do not know if we have the ability to make a large explosion. In my experience everything is not always as straightforward as it seems though. I would very much like to see what we are dealing with before we finalise a plan, but I understand we then lose our element of surprise and those dragonkin will know we are here. We also don't know what else is out there. With that said, whatever plan we come up with we have to be ready to evolve it as we go. For that reason and because of what happened to the Embers, I am loathe to separate the group. Of course, if that is the consensus...", he says with a frown.
"If Ro were here, he would have his familiar scout ahead, but it seems we do not have that luxury", he thinks out loud looking particularly to Godshell, whom he knows is a wizard like Ro is...was.
"Or at the very least Lelith and I would scout. That is harder from the air though, especially on birds that size", he says motioning towards Keg.
"Perhaps no plan in this case is the best plan. We stay high above the dragonkin, dive through when we reach the pillar of light and then see what assails us. Dependent on the strength of the force, we could meet them head on, or have some lead them away whilst others head for the Triforce", he ponders.
"Are we all comfortable being in the thick of things like that?", he adds looking around at the others.
Seeing Delph so distracted by the buildings around them, he focusses on the fairy.
"You seem distracted by this place. What is it that bothers you? This is not the mission, I am not certain we have time to waste with the other group waiting on us".
Slade lands with the rest of the group, taking a moment to examine his surroundings he finds himself distracted by the burning desire to FIND something nearby.
Answer to Delph, "Aye, tis a pleasure as well. Long it's been since I last saw a normal sized person. I don't think we need to be shrinking either of us fer this but I'm thinking I can help ye grab the piece."
To Rum, "I'm thinking we should have a look around here first, make sure nothing is hiding round the area before we start. As fer rushing straight in I'm none too keen on a frontal assault and getting caught out in the open but there ain't much in the way of cover out there that I'm seeing."
Shortly after landing and dismounting off the unfamiliar mount, Malenia creeps towards toward. Her steps soft and slow, creating nary a sound as she seems to be reveling in the are in which this new group has found themselves. She takes in a deep breath, exhaling and letting the stress of the situation fall off her shoulders. She continues to wander closer and closer to the temple, In no rush and seemingly basking in the feel of the ruin in which they now stand.
"Feels like......Home...." softly her voice carries, speaking to no one in particular. Of course, she is openly enamoured with the area. Seemingly marveling at the broken and ruined buildings.
As she grows closer to the temple, she takes a long look inside. Pointing in to the actual building, "Do none of you see that?" Directing them towards what she see's as a huge pile of untold wealth.

Malenia - [Monk - Way of the Jedi] - Auryn: Princess of Destiny
The fairy seems to get more and more distracted as they remain in the old as folks talk about the ideas as Delphinium laid them out the fairy seems less inclined to listen. They seem to lack focus or attention and instead seem to be looking around the ruins of the old watch for something. They absentmindedly say "Oh, yeah! Right. I'm up for any plan..." Their seemingly sudden distracted nature seems to be noticed by Rum first. The Tabaxi asking the fairy if anything bothers them. The fairy shakes their head and says "No, no... this place... oddly feels very safe... I think there is something here. Something nice! Is it protecting this area? I want to find it but I'm not sure where it is." The fairy begins to wonder around fluttering on their rapidly flapping dragonfly wings. Their blue aura strong and healthy with curiosity.
As Slade seems delighted to meet Delphinium so too is the fairy as they miss haning out with other fairies and small folk. "I agree we should 100% look around here first. Definitely something here." When Godshell mentions feelings similar to Delph's own the fairy tries to get a sense of what it is. As the fairy seeks out whatever it is they seems to get a bit obsessed. The curiosity of what it could be making them excited. "Right on Godshell! I think I feel similar. Something neat is here!" When Malenia mentions about seeing something they flutter over to spot what they found. The tiny fairy landing on the Eladrin's shoulder and trying to see what they found. As the fairy lands on their should they smile to Malenia and say "What is it? Something good?"
Hearing that the majority of his companions wish to look around, Rum takes another look about himself. There was something enticing about this place, he had to admit.
The more he considers it, the more he is sure that this place holds something...valuable. Maybe not valuable in the material sense, but something that he...needs.
As Melania and Delph wander towards the buildings looking inside, he moves a little forward too.
"I can't deny that there is something here. Something enticing", he says to the others.
But then he stops and analyses the thoughts, separating them from his own. He has been the subject of attempted mind control before and is wary. These thoughts are alien to him, something is luring them in and whatever it is does not have good intentions.
“Everybody stop! Think. Separate these thoughts from your own. They are not yours. Something is luring us into the church and I don’t believe it has the best of intentions. At least that is my sense”, he says to the others with urgency.
Malenia had never known great amounts of wealth, she never needed to. For as long as she could remember, she survived on the bare minimum. It wasnt a pleasant lifestyle but it was one she had grown accustomed to, She knew the value of wealth but never sought it. She was more drawn by the feeling that surrounded her, this sense of home. Like she was once more basking in the warm glow of the Haligtree.
Of course Rum's explanation fit the situation, tearing her away from the draw she was feeling towards whatever was crating this feeling. Of course the Haligtree couldnt be here. ".....Right" She takes a step back, than another and turns to face the group. "If these thoughts and feelings are not my own, what exactly are they? Have you experienced something like this before?" She looks to Rum, now full realizing that the Auryn bearer is the only one she could meet eye to eye.

"Not exactly like this, but I know enough to be wary", he says seriously. "The Twilight Embers suffered twice from mind control, or so we are led to believe. The first was obvious, rats with glowing brains trying to push their way into our thoughts, trying to control them. It was a brute force attack though, nothing like what is happening here. This seed of something desirable".
"The second was based on Lelith's claims, far more subtle if true", he adds, turning to look to Godshell as he starts to perform his ritual. He has seen Ro do this before and it is a fairly lengthy procedure if the same.
"Friend Ro used to do magic such as this, we have time to look about, but I would suggest we don't cross any thresholds", he advises.
As the roar from the crater attracts his attention he is reminded that it is there at the pillar of light that they need to be, not in Old Watch.
"I am not sure staying here is wise. There is something trying to distract us from our task", he says turning back to the group and waiting for Godshell, staying close to the Astéri in case he needs protection.
Delphinium seems almost disappointed there is nothing of interest here. They tiny fairy fluttering around in frustration as they are told this is some kind of mind trick. "Well, that's just a rude trick. Making us think things not our own." The fairy seems to ponder this for a bit then adds, "Although, sometimes it can be fun to let someone trick you. Then you all have a good laugh after. It is odd there is no creatures that came here though. If you're right then I don't think this is a fun prank... unless it's what's keeping the monsters away." The fairy still seems inclined to look around but with their companions saying no they respect it and only try to catch glimpses inside the temple from outside.
As Godshell casts some magic to get to the bottom of the mystery Delphinium looks to Rum who says something here is distracting them. The fairy nods and say "Oh! Whatever it is is very smart then, I'm very easily distracted!" They fly upwards to try to get a view down at the temple that seems to be drawing them in. They come back down and say "Are you sure I can't check? Not knowing is kind of annoying. It should at least show us what it is. Do you think it can talk? I like meeting new people too. Even bad ones, cause then I get to beat them up and that's fun too." As sudden roar form the crater grabs the fairy's attention in a different direction. They fly up to get over the buildings but this time to see what caused the roar. Its not hard to tell that Delphinium isn't good at standing around doing nothing. If they all take too long talking about what to do the ball of hyperness might just do.... something. What that is is anyone's guess.
Rum listens as Godshell feeds back on the lack of magic and his eagerness to proceed.
"Very well, Godshell", he says looking around the group and up to Delph.
"Delph, if you are going to look in the church, the time is now. Otherwise I suggest we take to the sky and get a closer look at whatever is waiting for us", he adds walking over to Keg and swinging onto his back.
Delphinium seeing nothing but cobwebs and an old dilapidated temple long destroyed and unused seems to get an idea. They grew up in the feywild and when something is playing tricks a good rule of thumb is to go way over the top and do something crazy to make them reveal the truth. Delph is a good fairy though so they flutter up to be about 5 feet back from the door. They don't plan to go inside yet and instead yell inside. "Hello! If you're playing mind trick might want to stop now and show yourself! If not I'm gonna do something you won't like!" The fairy waits a moment for a reply but also ready to react if something tries to attack them. If they don't get one they begin their plan.
Summoning forth their ki and power of their inner being they manifest their blue aura into a set of six giant arms that see to sprout from a large central blue sphere of light. The glow seeming to solidify into actual form each arm flexing and showing off a bit. The fairy smiles as their magically created arms seem to expand to something ridiculous for such a tiny fairy to wield. Delphinium looks around and the massive giant arms seem to follow the fairy as they find the biggest boulder, slab of building, or some form of debris nearby with these giant arms. The fairy seems to easily pick up things quite massively heavy with these spectral blue arms.
With the large item in their hand they warn one more time as they line up about twenty feet back and facing the doorway to the temple, "Last chance to stop me!" If Delphinium still receives no reply or sign to not do this they hurl the massive item into the temple with all their strength. If something is going on in their the damage this will cause will certainly disrupt it if not collapse the building itself although Delph isn't aiming for that and would prefer not to destroy the building. They suppose If something cool is in there they can dig it out later. They don't really seem worried at all about it being a temple or angering any god or goddesses. If some divine power doesn't want them do this they had ample opportunity to tell or show Delph not to so it's on them at this point.
