"I'll have your head for a trophy and feed your body to the dwarves!"  The leader shouted back across the divide as everyone takes to threatening the longevity of each other's heads.  

The two mounts drop out from under the riders, each of whom have the same response but with different results.  The first one disappears in midair and reappears directly next to Kaede, lashing out at the samurai as it appears next to her but harmlessly grazing her armor.  

The other reappears across the Divide, back at the top next to the incensed leader who begins scolding it.  

Another of the mounted Stormtroopers, still bearing down on the band's position, fires its ranged weapon at Lady Kaede, hitting her twice with red bolts of magic...

Greko giggles with delight as the first of the troopers get to Kaede. With the bridges covered in ice, Greko can now move to phase 2 of his newly formed plan. He stomps his staff onto the ground and with a rumble of the rocks behind the trooper arises an earth elemental (init. 7). The elemental hears Greko tell it to attack the troopers and does so. 

Hit 1: 13 Dam: 15

Hit 2: 25 Dam: 14

The Stormtrooper expertly dodges the first attack from the Earth Elemental, but is nailed by the second swing but doesn't do any major damage.

The Stormtroopers on the ladders continue to climb down toward the bridges...

Ro tugs at the reigns of the dragonnel mount, signaling it to move faster as the pair flies across the chasm.

Meanwhile, Ro's shadow clone releases its spell, filling the area around the stormtrooper attacking Lady Kaede with the sound of ringing bells.

As the Stormtrooper Leader continues to watch events unfold, and as reinforcements continue down the ramp, one of the mounted Stormtroopers sets its eyes on Ro.  Its eyes flash brilliant gold from behind its helmet and it swoops in close.  It screams something, an unintelligible litany of words, then strikes at Ro with its sword, but the sword bounces off Ro's armor harmlessly with a flash of sparks.  

Amitola watches the Stormtrooper attack Lady Kaede and holds her position, gritting her teeth, waiting for her queue to spring the rest of the trap...

Ro's shadow clone casts Toll the Dead once more on the stormtrooper attacking Lady Kaede.

Jek looks on. He is limited in what he can do. If he breaks concentration, Greko will appear. But Lady Kaede is exposed in the open. Hmm, oohhhh!

Jek forms a shadow clawed hand. He sends it down into the ground. The shadow hand reaches up from the ground below the storm trooper attacking Lady Kaede. It goes to grab the storm troopers neck. 

Action: Chill Touch 14 to hit, 8 necrotic damage
Special: Keep concentrating on rock Greko illusion. 

The Stormtrooper winches and raises one hand to the side of its head as Ro's clone Tolls the Dead, but nimbly steps around Jek's Chill Touch...

Wo-Dan readies himself next to Amitola as the two of them prepare to leap into the fray at a moments notice, even as they watch as many of the Stormtroopers are still climbing down the other side of the chasm...

Annoyed by the mosquito attacking her, while still keeping an eye on their leader clad in black armor, Kaede draws her daisho blades in a blur or steel, quickly attacking the storm trooper attacking her before withdrawing them back into their scabbards.

There is an argument on the far end of the chasm as the Stormtrooper leader and the teleported trooper that had been previously airborne.  They're not exactly trying to keep things down.  

The two Stormtroopers who are still airborne prepare to circle to intercept Ro before he can get across the gorge, both extending their hands to fire at him with their red ranged magic.  The first fighter strikes him with all three shots, while the second shoots wide, all of the red bolts of energy sailing harmlessly into the distance.  

The Stormtrooper engaged with Kaede dodges the first attack but gets swiped by the wakizashi before taking a hit from the katana.  The Stormtrooper steps back, shouts a command, and suddenly its body blurs and seems to separate into two shimmering versions of itself before lashing out at Kaede with its sword but glancing it harmlessly off her armor...

As the stormtrooper goes to cast magic, Jek will say a word and disrupts the magic. Shadows around the stormtrooper reach up and pull his magic into the darkness.

Greko gets a glimpse of the future, seeing his friend Ro, who he no longer knows, hit by three blaster shots. Regardless of Ro's change it saddens Greko. Greko through his connection to magic alters one of the shots to miss Ro. Greko still seated behind the rock illusion turns his attention to the stormtrooper engaged with Kaede. He watches the trooper split into a few different images and scoffs at this rookie magic. As he was about to dispel the magic he sees the troopers images disappear. Greko smiles figuring that Jek got to him first...ahhh to be young he thinks to himself. Greko tiring of this fight decides to remove the trooper from the playing field attempting to drop him into the chasmTelekinesis

25 vs strength save of trooper If this works the Elemental will stand with Kaede as if it is hers and ready its attacks for any baddie that comes into striking distance.

The Stormtrooper is lifted off the ground and over the chasm before being dropped unceremoniously into the darkness.  

On the far side of the chasm, the first set of Stormtroopers are getting close to stepping on the bridge...

Ro glares at his attackers with malicious intent as they strike and shoot at him.  As the stormtrooper's blade ricochet off his armor and bolts of red energy wiz past him, the illithid chants a spell.  He squeezes his hand, as if crushing an invisible orange.  Once his hand closes shut, the illithid snaps his fingers.  In an instant, the stormtrooper that attempted to strike Ro with his sword was hurdling down into the depths of the chasm as his mount was teleported out from under him.

With one of the two airborne stormtroopers dealt with, Ro continues his charge towards the ladders.

Action: Cast Vortex Warp to teleport the stormtrooper's mount onto the bridge
Mount failed the save with a 15!

Rum is still nowhere to be seen….

The Stormtroopers continue to climb down to the bridge while Ro crosses the divide.  As he casts his spell, one of the strange mounts lands on the icy bridge and begins to flop as it tries to right itself.  The rider falls, then fans its arms and legs out to slow its decent...and then there's a flash of light.

The rider suddenly appears behind Ro, throwing an arm around his neck and holding on for dear life.  It drives its sword through a gap in Ro's armor and sticks the blade into the soft flesh of his side...

Amitola holds her position...

Before the stormtrooper manages to complete his teleportation spell, Ro casts Counterspell.  (Rolled an 18, success!).  Ro watches as the spell fails and the stormtrooper disappears into the void below.

Meanwhile, Ro's shadow clone continues to berate the stormtrooper next to Kaede with [Tooltip Not Found].

Ro
Reaction: cast Counterspellto cancel the stormtrooper's teleportation spell.

Just realized that I didn't type the spell command correctly into DNDBeyond for my post above.  Don't want to risk a dice roll manipulation warning, so I won't edit my post.

The spell Ro is using is Toll the Dead.
