Johnathan sighs as he hears Ward’s reasoning. He understood that it was a slim chance but it was the only lead they had. He turns to Travin. If we can find where Delphinium was teleported then maybe we could find a way to them. If you can make the dead talk then by all means go for it. Johnathan looks to the Orrery that he was still holding. He knew that even that simple trick he used in the fight had other effects, effects that he did not know of yet. It was dangerous and powerful, and maybe the only thing that can reunite Delphinium to the rest of the party.Johnathan withholds the fact that this Orrery was doing something to him. He knew that if he keeps using it something will happen. And yet it looks like he doesn’t have a choice.
Travin frowns, this was not what he expected, "dead don't talk, hmmm not to Travin, nots yet, yeh yeh! What's would we asks the headless one anyway?" Travin gets Birt's attention and makes sure the firey is watching for the next bit.
A whirl of magic surrounds Travin like a shadow enveloping him in broad daylight, when the shade dissipates once more Travin is no longer standing there, the force wielder looks around and then down to his headless body in Ward's hand.
"Hello, Travin is now, this guy! Yes yes!" He says in a 'normal' voice which is starkly dissimilar to Travin's. "Why don't you, ask me some questions friends! Yes... Yes!"
"Well, fair enough Johnathan. But besides that, we do have a college right here. I vote on next seeing what they know about getting to the Feywild and if there is any information on the Orrey. I see you looking at it and it does have a decent chance of helping us here. I do have a few words for Mistycomb though, when we have the time. For now, however, I think we should focus on scouring the college. If we need a quick getaway I would rather us not have to scramble and grab every book." Then, when Travin becomes the Force-User Ward sighs and nods along. "I don't know if this is nonsense or not, but if it isn't, what spell did you send the Fairy away with, and how to we bring them back?' Ward asks Travin/Force-User. "Also, if your looking for where, I would figure Delph to be in they Feywild, while it can't be banishment as it would've dropped by now it was likely something similar. As for more specifics however I can't know for sure where they would be in the Feywild." Ward finishes
Shavaris looks around to the carnage and the fact that Delph has seriously disappeared. She hears some of her friends talking about the fact he might have been sent back to the feywild, wasn't that his home? She hopes maybe he can find his way back the way he got here the first place? She doesn't know, this is all very strange to her.
As Ward cuts off the head of the force-wielder and pikes it, she feels an urge... she was able to contain it, but gave her an idea. She takes out the flask that Travin had and empties it on the ground. Not know what was inside made her nervous and Johnathan recommended she have this. She rinses it out with some water then, heads over to the body of the force-wielder. She then listens to the rogue part of her and starts checking out the bodies for anything interesting or valuable.
When Travin transforms, she cocks her head and looks at him, "Why did you do that? How does that help? Do you have some magic to help us get Delph back?"
Johnathan looks at Travin as he uses some trick or illusion to make himself look like the force wielder. Very funny Travin, but I don’t think this will help bring Delph back. Johnathan listens to Ward plan and seems to consider their options. I doubt the village will let us back in there, we are wanted criminals by the empire now. If we stay in the village I fear we will only bring more armies to them. I doubt they will let the village survive if they know that they were housing us. Johnathan seems to get a bit tense when Ward notices Johnathan staring at the Orrery. He puts it away in his pocket.
As I see it if Delphinium really is in the Fey wild then we need a way to pinpoint their location. I believe that their family are hiding in the Kokrir forest, if we can make our way there then I believe they would know of ways into the Fey wild. I can get us close to the forest if we want, I can also get us into the Fey wild but without a way to locate Delphinium we will get lost.
The illusion of the force weilder wrapped around Travin's form points to the ground where Travin had just been eating something.
"Travin is not funny, Johnathan might learn something hmmm? If he's willing to listen yes? Shavaris is asking questions, this is helpful." Again hearing the force wielder's voice, share some similarities to Travin's speaking mannerisms is slightly jarring.
Following Travin's finger he points to the ground next to the limp headless body of the man, the more observant members of the group would realise that he is missing more than his head, the body casts no shadow "Travin has access to some memories of this warrior, hm. Limited yes, but not useless, not funny." He scowls a little at Johnathan before closing his eyes and concentrating hard.
Kerwyn looks straight at Travin, no amusement in his voice at all, he is dead serious. "Where is Delph? How do we get Delph back?" Curt and to the point. To himself, spoken very low, he says "I miss 'em, pain in my ass though they were..."

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Shavaris looks at the little man with increased curiosity. Following his finger he points to the area he was just eating…. the force-wielder’s shadow was gone?! What did that mean?
"$%#& yeah! Killed the shit out of that guy! That was great!" He says, rolling his shoulders and looking around with a grin. "I wish there were more of them."
He slowly looks over the various cuts, scrapes, and contusions on his body and nods with approval.
"Crom has seen fit to give me the strength to endure this battle too."
Travin squints his eyes, further scrunching up his face, with his fingers on his temples he's making a big deal out of thinking on behalf of this inquisitor. "This man's name was Jimbo, yes, he used the banishment spell on delphinium, definitely. But something else happened, Fireflight is not in the faywild, perhaps his roots are unknown even to him or he hides a secret from us hmmm? I do not know where he is, sorry." Travin relaxes a little in his inquisitor form.
Then he gives up, attending to the things he can control right now, he pieces together one hide armour for a large creature that he loots off the ogre corpses, with this he prepares Birt for battle, making him more difficult to hit
Johnathan sighs as he hears Travin say Delphinium was truly lost. What was worse the alicorn was gone with them. Without the horn it was impossible to try and bring the dead stallion back, everything in the labyrinth would be for nothing. NOTHING! Johnathan looks to the party and considers telling them what he was about to do, but decides not to as they would try and stop him. They would warn him of the dangers involved and would say something naive like the power of friendship will bring them back. But it would take more than strong feelings and wishful thinking to save their friend. It was gonna take power, raw and simple power.
Johnathan holds the Orrery in both hands now and begins turning pieces in a rapid motion. He twists and twists and twist until the Orrery starts emitting a blue glow and surround Johnathan. I have lost too much to fail now, I have lost too many friends and have failed the stallion already. NO. MORE. He starts rotating the Orrery incredibly fast, like he was following his instincts more than his eyes. Like he could feel what he had to do. We will find Delph, we will get the alicorn back and we will stick it up to darkness itself. The Orrery starts rotating on its own as Johnathan holds it in one hand, letting the magic take its course. He feels the Orrery starts corrupting his mind, he can feel himself losing control and breaking under its power. He falls to his knees and could feel his mind on the edge of madness. That was until he glances at Travin. This little creature that has lost so much but managed to weather the storm, to get the alicorn single handily and save his family. He didn’t fail his job, and Johnathan knew he couldn’t fail his. Whatever it was, the thought of not letting Travin down was enough for Johnathan to regain his focus. He stands up, struggling to breath now with the weight of magic coursing through him. He shouts to the Orrery. OBBBBEYYY…MEEE…SHOOOW…MMME…E…DELPH….NOW. A massive pulse of blue magic shockwaves out of the Orrery, the Orrery stops spinning in his hand as it remains perfectly still. A blue light emits from the centre of the Orrery upwards in a cone shape. For a moment he thinks the magic did not take affect, like something was wrong. A flicker. A flicker starts displaying in the blue cone. The flicker takes shape as a small body of fairy that the party all knew and love, though it was blue and see-through like the cone. Johnathan speaks, though he is very tired and worn when he does. Delphinium, this connection will only last a minute. You need to tell us. Where are you? Johnathan doesn’t even notice the thunder in the skies, he was too focused keeping up the connection with Delph.
Turning from dressing Birt, Travin, still wrapped in his illusion, watches Johnathan with the orrery. The man who chastised Travin earlier for acting erratic and selfish, is now acting upon his own desperate need to save his friends. Travin sees this and can't help but smile at Johnathan, giving a friendly nod and humming a familiar tune, the smile on the disguised Junkman's face doesn't abate even when the sky turns tumultuous around them. He looks gleeful, almost maniacally so, at Johnathan, respecting his lack of hesitation, his determination, and most importantly, his results.
As Johnathan holds the Orrery the figure of Delphinium appears to be talking, though it seems only Johnathan was able to hear what they say. A series of questions shoots out of Johnathan, but without hearing Delphinium it was a bit weird to understand. That’s great. Where is Hemmy’s place? Days! It’s been minutes. Never mind, where will you emerge in Eternia? The summer court. That’s excellent, do you want us to come for you? I have a way to teleport planes but it will take some time. It seems time works differently in your plane right now. Delph, you must be very clear what you do next. I think the connection is about to break. How can you return? Before he finishes his last question the connection seems to break. The blue light from the Orrery seems to dim and Johnathan collapses to the ground with it still in his hand. He takes a moment to catch his breath as he looks to the party.
Huh,huh, huh. Delphinium was in the Fey wild. He found a friend and was trying to make his way to our plane…. It appears that time was a lot faster there, he said it was days since they left. He said he made his way to a place called the summers court. Everything was fine until Delphinium went to his dad for help. His dad was not helping though Delphinium said they have a way back, but it was complicated. I didn’t know what it was. Delphinium may have returned to this plane already, I don’t know. The connection broke before they could tell me. Johnathan sits on the group with his hands shaking. He was still struggling to coup with what exactly he did. I can take us there, but I will need some rest. The Orrery, it’s a lot to take at once, don’t want to do something that I will regret. It’s at this point Johnathan looks up in the sky and sees dark clouds ahead. Uh, finally the sun is gone. Johnathan lowers his hood and feels that annoying burning feeling calm immediately. Strange, my eyes must still be adjusting but I swear the lightning is purple. How odd.
The inquisitor now stands hunched over in a more "travin-like" stance, he catches Johnathan's eye, still smiling, he points a finger to the sky "you did this, yes! Took the risk to save your fireflight, consequences be damned hmmm?"
Turning away a little and banging his hand on the inquisitors head, Travin seems a little irritated, "Travin is still getting used to this trick, sorry we gots conflicting informations. Hmm? Though, why is the feywild our new destinations? Fireflight coulds be back already says Johnathan hmm? Do we want to be stuck with the fairy?" Trav leaves this question open for the others to have input, as he goes back to sorting out Birt, though he does keep his attention mostly on the conversation.
The finishing touches on Birt's attire consists of pushing ogre teeth through the hide armour forming spikes along his shoulder pads, using a scimitar to shave the sides of the Firey's head forming a wicked orange and black streaked mohawk, one bloodied handprint on the right breast of the armour, and finally Travin dips the thick flat end of a wooden stake into his glue pot and fixing it upon Birt's brow like a faux unicorn horn. He stands back pleased with his creation.
From the east one can begin to hear a distant but familiar voice. "No, not that way! This way. I'm positive the town is this way Hemmy."
This is followed by another voice replying. They sound cultured, very intelligent and a bit of a know it all as they reply. "It's not that I don't believe you my winged friend. It's that I smell blood. A lot of it."
From within the trees Delphinium's voice comes back to reply. It sounds like they were approaching but now they are going slightly around the Dawn Guard and the grisly scene of death they created around them. "Oh! Do you think it's a bear? Are you scared of bears?"
A sigh of resignation from the new voice cuts through the trees and nearby vegetation. They sound low to the ground. Like they are crawling as their voice seems to originate from lower then the bushes that is in their direction. "I suppose it would be rude of us not to introduce ourselves. We should always aim to be proper gentlemen. I am also a bit hungry. Do you think they will share a bite?"
The bushes rustle as something moves through them. Soon, a red triangle snout pokes through the bushes followed by a fox head as it peeks out and onto the scene of dead troopers and the Dawn Guard gathered nearby looking for their. They have a top hat on that has a pair of complicated looking goggles. Their red fur gives way to white underneath but as the fox looks around they pull their head back into the bush and say quite clearly in a stage whisper that most can hear "Delph! There are a bunch of dead people and a very odd group of folks gathered around them. I think they just killed everyone."
Delph replies back, "Oh! Maybe they are bad guys! We should beat them up!"
The fox replies, "What? Oh, right. You're you. Very well. Shall I shoot them then?"
Delph pauses a bit but eventually says "Let me see who they are first." A tiny blue fairy pops their head out of the bush the duo seems to be in. Their eyes go wide then they rub them then blink a bit in disbelief then they duck back into the bush. "Hemmy! It looks like my friends! I thought they would be in the village."
Hemmy replies "Well, it has been a couple weeks. Perhaps they moved?"
Delph says in a bit of disbelief, "Maybe. Johnathan sounded pretty grumpy that one time. Said I was taking days to get to them. Very rudely too. They just yell "Days!" At me. Maybe they are an illusion. They look just like I left them weeks ago. Do you think someone is trying to trick me?"
They two inside the bush begin to talk back and forth about how to tell if the Dawn Guard is an illusion at this point. Taking several minutes to do so. Hemmy seems to be very knowledgeable about mechanical things as they mention several times the possibility that instead of an illusion perhaps they are robots. Whatever the case the pair stay hidden in the bush for now.
As Shavaris watches Travin be someone else and then work on his firey, she hears something from the treeline...
She peers over trying to listen and "DELPH!!!" She screams and runs over to the bush, vaguely realizing there are two voices there not one, but not stopping until she reaches her dear friend.
I made the purple lightning. That can’t be good. Johnathan was still feeling weak from the spell. It took a lot out of him just to ask 5 questions. He looks to the sky and considers what he has done. How his desperation to win has had real affects. What was worse Travin approved, that wasn’t a good sign. As he sits there contemplating what to do next Johnathan sees a talking fox. I must be tripping. I swear I see that talking fox again. Johnathan starts licking his lips as he sees the fox. He was so thirsty and if it has all in his head then no harm, no foul. Come here foxy foxy foxy, come on. Don’t you want to meet Johnathan. Come here Didymus, come to your old friend. Johnathan approaches the fox holding his hand out, clearly trying to lure the fox closer. As Johnathan draws near he then sees Delphinium. Why is Delph in my mind now? Do I like fairy blood as well? Must admit I did always wonder if their blood gives you as much energy as they have. As Shavaris shouts their name he quickly realises that this was real. He holds back his fangs and stands up as much as he can. You made it Delph, that didn’t take long. As I said your time in the Fey wild was only mere moments for us so we are not illusions. Should an illusion know the name Didymus? Johnathan gives a quick glance to the fox. These things are spreading, hunting season must be soon. How did you get back Delph, you said it was complicated. Johnathan looks to see if Delph has the alicorn.
Delphinium pops their head out of the bush again when Shavaris calls to them in their happiness to see them. Delph smiles and waves then looks down into the bush and says "Hemmy. I think it is them! I'll go touch the maybe Shavaris just to make sure." With that the fairy zooms over to Shavaris with Alicorn still strapped to their back. They tentatively touch her shoulder at first while watching her as if expecting her to grow three heads or something. One they are able to touch her the fairy makes a happy flutter noise with their wings and lands on her shoulder with a smile as they say "You are real!" they give Shavrais a tiny fairy hug. "That's good! Why did you wait by all these bodies? Did you kill them all? You shouldn't.... umm..." they look over to the bush and seem nervous and seem to change what they were saying "I'm so happy to find you all again! I was having so much fun traveling with you and learning about stuff. Where is Travin? Wait... is that the one that I was fighting a couple weeks back? Are they on our side now? A lot of that fight is a blur. I think they cast a spell on me to blind me." Delphinium is pointing to the disguised Travin.
The fox meanwhile pokes their top hatted head out form the bush again to look at the Dawn Guard and smiles at seeing Delphinium finding their friends. "Ah, good show Delph! They seem to be real." Johnathan begins to call them foxy several times and asking to meet Johnthan. The Fox looks at him and smiles as they look Johnathan up and down looking impressed with them, "Oh my! What a tall and handsome fellow! Johnathan you say? I most certainly would like to meet you." The fox comes out from inside the bush and Johnathan can see that the fox has not only a top hat but some kind of special looking leather harness type armor that has an oversized backpack on. The pack doesn't seem to be normal in design by rather metal with a few spinning gears on it. The gears begin to speed up and a robotic arm comes out of the pack. It has multiple exposed gears on it with several arcane etchings on them.
The robotic arm seems to have a single fancy white glove on the end of it. The fox once exited is definitely larger then your typical fox and it unmistakably gives Johnathan a bow. "Hello Johnathan. You are mistaken. I am not Didymus. I am Hemmingway Farnsworth Foximillion the First. A very good pleasure to meet you. Delphinium was ever so happy to hear from you while we were in the feywild. I can see why he considers you friend." The robotic hand follows in the gesture of a bow but with a flourish and then as Hemmy gets back up from their bow the hand goes into the pack and pulls out what appears to be a preheated pot of tea. There is even steam coming from it "Would you care for a spot of tea?" two cups seem to pop out from the pack and the fox begins to pour a cup for each of them.
As Johnthan moves to talk with Delph the fairy looks over and says "Ummm... my dad sent us back... I... he... can we not talk about this around all these bodies?" They sound very troubled. Very not the happy go lucky fairy they normally do. They sound downright depressed. Not angry like in the labyrinth but sad and troubled. A very not Delph thing to be.
Shavaris is thrilled as her little friend flies to her and gives her a tiny fairy hug. She leans into it with her head as much as she can without crushing Delphinium, but is very happy they are all back together again.
What they say make her pause though, "What do mean, wait by the bodies? The battle just finished and we were trying to find you. You just stopped talking with Johnathan with his orb deal that he has and then poof! Here you are with your new friend." And Shavaris bows to the fox seeing that seems to be his way of greeting. "Oh him? That is Travin in disguise, I think he was channeling that man to try and find you."
As Delph mentions their dad and their manner completely changes, "Hang on Delph, lets find a place to rest and recoup. Maybe deeper into the woods, towards the stallion? But at least away from this area."
Stephen runs over to see Fireflight, a big stupid grin on his face. He starts pointing with his Greatmaul, barely paying attention to the Fox's flirtations with the Warlock as he excitedly tells Delphinium about how he knocked out...
And that's where Stephen starts counting on his fingers, his brows scrunched up. What'd he say? Seven? Nine? Shit, he forgot how many he knocked out! Stephen blather's for a moment and then starts pointing with the maul to individual victims.
"I got that guy. And I definitely got that guy. And oh, that guy over there! I got him good! But someone else cut his head off. Wish I had though." He says. "Wait, how many did you get? I think I knocked out more than you did!"
The sky continues to darken and evening falls prematurely as they stand there. The purple lightning crashes more than once in the distance and everyone begins to feel sick, if they'll admit it or not, like something very, very wrong has happened.
Then purple lightning streaks from the sky toward Johnathan...
Johnathan sighs as he hears Ward’s reasoning. He understood that it was a slim chance but it was the only lead they had. He turns to Travin. If we can find where Delphinium was teleported then maybe we could find a way to them. If you can make the dead talk then by all means go for it.
