Dageron too seeks an update on the other teams, but instead nods his assent to Gandolf, realizing the old man was monitoring events elsewhere. "Right away, Mithrandir." He proceeds to the library and looks up information on Gremlins...
"Atreyu is busy, I am afraid, and will not be able to come hear what you have to say." Gandalf says as he looks from mirror to mirror and writes notes down on a parchment he has laid out in front of himself. "What is it I can do for you, Travin? Please be swift. I have a lot going on here."
"As for your friends Thea, all's well so far, save for Cinder. She's in deadly trouble. I am formulating a plan to help them now."
“Oh no! Cinder? I know you’ve work for me to do elsewhere but please let me know if I can help at all?” Trying to be mindful of his time, she’d join her group but can’t hide her worry.
Travin is caught a little off guard by, being asked so soon, but returns to Gandalf and stares into his face, far too close, not that Gandalf even looks up. "Travin requested befores hmmm? To be the persons to get Aughra yeh, Travin will go unencumbereds.. persuade Aughra to comes here yeh! And carry any things the Aughra mights need hmm? Things which will be beneficials to the AURYN cause. Yeh! Mithrandir knows that Travin has the perfect skills for this task... Yeh yeh! And it is a task needings doings before the skyloft chunks can falls hmmm!?" Travin gives an awkward smile, tilting his head to look over the round rose coloured glasses on his nose, but it does not detract away from his persuasive arguments. (21)
Adam goes up to Mithrandir and asks “What of the Dawn Guard, any news? I feel helpless here, I feel that I should be helping them, fighting alongside them. Before we left, Delphinium suggested speaking with Jareth, keeping the Alicorn safe there. Man at Arms is also suggesting using that as a base of operations. I’ll go to talk with Jareth if you think it is a good idea. Perhaps Travin could go with me to see if that could be done, a base there for us, what do you think? Do you have a way to get us there?” Adam looks over at Travin, saying “What do you think, do you agree with that?”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Travin, you will be going with Adam...excuse me, Prince Adam...to retrieve Aughra. Thea will accompany you. It seems things may be getting volatile near her orrery, so please, allow me to find some other to accompany you. We have a few different missions resolving at the moment. Talking to Jareth? He's...an odd one...but it can't hurt. Hopefully recent developments in the Labyrinth have changed some things about him. I can get you there, but let's not lose focus on the plan."
Man at Arms follows Dageron long enough to meet Atreyu, before the recently promoted leader of the resistance has to put his meeting with the commander of the Eternian army on hold to check in on the trial...
Skot gives a loud “Whoop!” hearing he won’t be separated from his new found brother. He flies over to Travin and pats him on the shoulder. “Together again, brother! Wonder what else we can get up to at this orrerrerry?” He pulls out his pipe and begins to blow perfect smoke rings.
Thea smiles to Travin and Prince Adam grateful she can try and help keep her promise to Adam’s mum. “Thanks for letting me join you. I’m sorry- but I’m not sure who Aughra is?”
"Travin knows not who Aughra is, hmmm but Travin does knows what an observatory is yeh yeh! Travin is going to look at space!! Yeh!
But waits! Aughra has an Orrery likes the Johnathan had? Hmmm? Might be dangerouses, last time one was activates, squid people's came and overpowwerds the dawn guard. yeh yeh! Remember Kerwyn? Remember?... Hm?
Come Skot, fighting is what we might be doings yeh yeh!" Travin whips his head around to Gandalf, "Mithrandir's acceptance of a request will not go unnoticed" he mutters again in celestial, unsure as to whether Gandalf himself understands it. Travin then finds a 'safe place' within the room of mirrors, an unused corner or a storage closet, to begin depositing his large containers of junk.
Gandalf may not understand but Thea does and she looks at Travin with curiosity as she sees how much Skot idolizes him. Wandering over, she offers to help him store his treasures away and ask in Celestial, “Who is Aughra. Is she your friend?”
Travin looks delighted to be spoken to in celestial, as he turns and regards Thea "Travin knew, hmm! Travin said so yeh yeh! Thea is weirds like Travin hah hah!!...
Though Travin has never mets this Aughra, Travin hopes she wills be friend yeh? Aughra has an Orrery and if Aughra has mastereds it, hmmm Aughra may be more powerfuls than we can imagines! Exciting yeh yeh! Travin knows that an observatory holds many shinies, hmmm? Shinies that looks beyond the starses... So Travin is merely hopings that Aughra knows of the storytellers yeh! Travin is glad to have Thea and Skot comes too!"
Once his items are safely stored the smiling creature looks odd without his junk pile. His patchwork robe hands loosely around his skinny fram flapping open slightly to reveal merely a few rags and a shiny looking belt covering his necessaries, it also becomes apparent that Travin is taller than his pile makes him seem. The crooked angle of his back, that he still retains, diminishes his height drastically, he not only remains hunched over but it appears that he is constantly crouching to some degree. He is an odd monster indeed.
He keeps about him his robe, glasses and gloves, his baggy, an odd looking quiver, and his shawm. Pocketing his healing bottles and another larger unidentified bottle along with a wand and a literal pistol, he nods to the group "Travin is ready" this time in common.
Thea gives him a curious look and replies still in celestial. “Weird like you?” She rubs her forehead as she mumbles, sounding almost like she’s trying to convince herself, “I’m just an orphan girl.” She gives him a bit of a lost smile and then dusts herself off after helping him. With a much more genuine smile, “I’m happy to be with you too. And I’m intrigued by this Aughra!” Joining the rest of the group she nods and says, “I’m ready too.”
Travin frowns at Thea, and responds in kind with celestial "no, no, no... Not 'just' an orphan girl hmmm? Never just that, Thea should remembers this yeh yeh!" He lifts a wiry hand to his shoulder and gently lifts Skot down to his eye level between himself and Thea, "there is great power in Thea hmmm? Skot knows this yeh! Or Skot wouldn't have chosen Thea" he pops Skot onto Thea's head and giggles, the laugh of someone who maybe knows more than they are letting on.
Hm?
“Yeah, I remember, but it is all a little fuzzy. In fact, all that we did in that damn Labyrinth is a little fuzzy at times. I feel grounded now in knowing who I am, knowing exactly what we are fighting for. I think we should be really careful if it is like one of those things that Johnathan had. I remember those squid faced guys who appeared and took it away, the feeling that I was losing control of my body, my will….” Adam shivers. “Another mission… ready Travin? We can do it! I do want to get to those people on our teams that are in need, that need reinforcements. But objective number 1 accomplished!” He looks with a look of satisfaction and smiles at Man at Arms.
Thea looks at Travin a little incredulously as her cheeks flush at his kind words. She’s can’t seem to find words but she nods and whispers, “I’ll try.” She giggles as Skot lands on her head, scattering the butterflies that adorn her hair. He sits there smoking his pipe and exchanges a knowing smile with Travin with a wink and a tap of his nose. Going cross eyed trying to look up at her little friend, she laughs and says, “I don’t know how he found me but I’m glad he did. We’re a good team. Now to prove it by getting Aughra on our side! Who knows? Maybe she’s my long lost mum?”
Travin regards his team, his new little collection of odd characters and grins overly wide "Travin is ready Ker-uh-Adam heh heh! Seeing Atreyu first hmm? Atreyu is findings us another member yeh yeh, then off we goes to the Observatory! Hm! And maybes Thea's mum heh heh! Travin wonders who else will joins us, travin hopes not the scary shadow creature hm? Shadow thinks Travin is a childs! Hmph!" Travin turns and goes to leave the mirror room and attempt to find Atreyu, motioning for the others to join him. Though he appears happy in the outside there is a fidgety nervousness to Travin, now that he is without his junk pile.
"Aughra is a friend to all of Hyboria. Think of her sort of as a living personification of nature. Yes, she is very powerful, and yes. She can show you the shinies in the sky."
Gandalf listens to Travin's worries about the little shadow monster...then smiles wryly as the little shadow monster enters the room.
"Jek will be going with you." Gandalf says as he begins preparing the next mirror. "Pay attention to what I'm telling you. The tarrasque is free. Delphinium has the Triforce. That means that the whole eastern end of Celestia will be dropped into the sea very soon. You're on a timeline when this mission starts, do you understand? I'm not sure what's happening at the Observatory but it's gained a lot of attention from the Skeksis in the last little bit. Something is happening. Be prepared for a fight."
Gandalf steps away from the table where he monitors what's happening all over Hyboria with the AURYN teams completing their latest missions, moves to a mirror, and rubs one hand over its surface. It begins to ripple...and then the old wizard points the four of them through it...
To say that things were getting hot around Aughra's Observatory was an understatement. The four of them appeared on the steps of the Observatory and could see a sea of writhing bodies in the wastes around the enormous building. Hundreds, thousands of horrid, humanoid sized arachnid like creatures crawl over one another like carrion beetles on a corpse.
Behind them stands a huge domed building, the top of which looked like a metal spiderweb with glass panes between the strands. Two huge bronze colored metal doors stand between them and the interior of the building.
A small cadre of the spider creatures scuttles around the base of the building and seems to be seeking the four newcomers out...
Travin eyes Jek a little uncomfortably and then resigns himself to the task at hand. Happy to be doing the thing that he wants, but cautious still of the shadow creature.
Before the team step through their mirror, Travin asks Gandalf about the return journey and takes any mirror he is given, if the mirror they used to get back from Eternia has been either taken or spent, happy with whatever transaction Gandalf offers, Travin steps through their designated mission mirror.
When the group steps through the mirror and are transported to the steps surrounded by writhing arachnoids, Travin has a look of wonder ok his face, which is then immediately replaced with panic, he already feels vulnerable without his beloved junk pile and now this? "Ohhhh oh no! In! Inside! Opens! AHH!" He grabs whatever handle he can reach of the brass doors and begins pulling and pushing at them attempting to get in.
Before leaving, Adam goes up to Jek and says “I’ve heard of you, very nice to meet you. Glad to have you on our team. I have no idea who the hell Aughra is, but if Gandalf says it is important, we need to make it happen. Right. Let’s get to it!”
Adam goes into the mirror portal and then looks around, getting the lay of the landscape. He sees the scuttling spiderlike creatures and says “Yeah, good idea Travin, let’s get away from those spiders. Into the Observatory and quick! Those friggin little things creep me out! Nothing as bad as a worm, but still!”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Jek walks in just as Travin finishes talking about a shadow creature. He nods as Gandalf introduces him. "Hi Everyone!" To Travin, he'll say "Ahh, sorry about that. I didn't mean to insult you. Children are a very new concept for me, I have trouble telling the difference. If you all just stayed the same, that would make things easier. "
Jek listens to Adam "Hi! You are the one who just found out your a prince, right? Kerwyn-err-Adam? I've heard of Aughra from the Sorceress at Castle Grayskull and the Mystics. She is suppose to know about the Shard of Division. But, I don't know much else about her. Either way, lets go! ... Wait, do we just jump into the mirror? Oh, I guess so."
Jek follows behind and see the all the creatures. "Umm yea, yea, inside good. So.... Someone knock or something. Ahh, I might be able to do something to slow them down. But probably not for long."
He'll wait until the ones closest to them are within 60ft. He begins to form some shadow threads, making a complex cat's cradle design between his fingers. He whispers "Shencoo" and the shadowy threads burst forth from his fingers. It travels quickly to the closest creature to them, then threads burst out, turning to an ivory white color as they expand, becoming 20ft cube of webbing. They will anchor to any point in that 20ft. "Okay, lets go lets go lets go!"
Jek's webbing explodes on the nearest creatures, encasing them in webbing so they cannot be followed up the steps.
The doors push open without resistance as Travin, Thea, Adam, and Jek make their way into the observatory, and then they close with a solid thud, sealing them from the creatures coming up the hill outside.
Two things become immediately visible to the party as they enter.
First and foremost is the enormous orrery that stands in the center of the room, a device that is without a doubt old but well taken care of. It turns gently, almost imperceivably to their eyes as it rotates, the individual planetary bodies of the things moving together in a dance.
The second is the image of the ocean, far beyond the back of the room, through the glass at the back of the huge observatory. The night sky dominates everything above the sea, which is only visible beneath moonlight.
Dageron too seeks an update on the other teams, but instead nods his assent to Gandolf, realizing the old man was monitoring events elsewhere. "Right away, Mithrandir." He proceeds to the library and looks up information on Gremlins...
