"AUGHRA!!" Travin damn near falls over himself as the doors burst open, then as soon as the doors swing shut, travin pulls a crowbar out of his quiver and bars it shut. "AUGHRA!! Travin has comes to rescue Aughra hm?" Despite his shouting he walks slowly up to the orrery with awe, unable to draw his eyes away.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“Aughra!” Adam shouts out as well, looking around the room in awe and amazement at the Orrery, obviously not understanding what he is looking at, but knowing that it looks cool. He tries to think back to that funny device that Johnathan had…. “Where are you? We need to speak with you!”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Jek is glad his web seemed to slow the creatures advance. "That should last an hour, or until they destroy it. Or if I get distracted..... Lets say at least half an hour."
Jek follows the others into the observatory and is in awe of the giant mechanism before him. But he is also drawn to the window in the back. He has seen the ocean before, but it always amazes him, seeing that much water. "Umm, Mother Aughra. I am Jek Utinni. We are the chosen of the AUYRN. We need your help, and we have come to save you. The Sorceress at Castle Grayskull and the urRu both said you were the one to speak to about the Shard of Division. Also, a Tarrasque is going to fall into the ocean with half of Celestia. It isn't safe for you here. Oh, and there's a bunch of spiders, they don't look friendly.... Although we didn't stop to talk to them. Maybe they are friendly?"
Thea would’ve introduced herself to Jek before leaving, her butterflies greeting him in a friendly way.
Skot would’ve elbowed his new soul brother, Travin, and pointed to the newcomer. “He’s ok to be around Thea?”
When they arrive in the observatory, Thea stares at the orrery, lavender eyes wide with wonder as she watches the passing moons and suns and planets. Skot turns it into a gauntlet, flying around and dodging all the obstacles with panache.
Skot would’ve elbowed his new soul brother, Travin, and pointed to the newcomer. “He’s ok to be around Thea?"
"Hm? Travin mistooks Jek for a hallucination when's we first met, yeh yeh, and Jek mistook Travin for a child, hmm! Jek is strange, but not a hallucinations, but Skot be cautious... Yeh yeh!" Travin attempts to whisper back to the sprite, now left throne-less without Travin's pile.
"NOT SPIDERS."The strange little woman who enters the room says. She's pulling a very large sack with her and is slowly stuffing it full of books, globes, star charts and other things that are laying around the room. "ARATHIM! HM! SERVANTS OF THE SKEKSIS. LIKE SHARKS. SMELL BLOOD IN THE WATER AND HERE THEY COME!"
As if to emphasize this last statement, one of the black spider things clatters across the glass roof of the building and it suddenly seems like Travin's crowbar may be about as useful as a water pail full of holes. Slowly she approaches the group, and then they notice the walking stick in her other hand. She reaches out with it and begins to push the closest members of the party with it. Firmly, but not maliciously.
"WHO ARE YOU? HM?" She asks, looking at the four adventerurs before her. "LET ME GUESS. SENT BY MITHRANDIR? YOU KNOW WHAT MITHRANDIR MEANS?"
She steps away, turning her face up at the huge orrery in the center of the room as she listens to Jek's explanation.
"CHOSEN OF THE AURYN! GREAT HEROES THEN!" She nods, then clears her throat, and spits into the corner. She looks surprised by her own actions as her one good remaining eye shoots open for a second. "TARRRRRRASQUE! DIRE INDEED! URRU! SORCERESS OF GRAYSKULL! MANY NAMES THROWN ABOUT! SHARD OF DIVISION YOU SAY! MANY SHARDS HERE! ALL IN THE UNDERDARK!"
She raises a gnarled hand and points to a door in the back of the room.
"WE CAN GO NOW AND GET THE SHARD, IF THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT. AH, PRECIOUS ORRERY. WILL BE LOST AFTER ALL THIS? GREAT CONJUCTION LOOMS! ALWAYS END OF THE WORLD!"
Travin ponders the meaning of Mithrandir whilst looking around the place, casting a glance to the door at the rear as well as the massive Orrery and specifically how it is fixed to the ground. "Everything precious on Travin's back hmm? We haves to go! Yeh yeh! Travin can carry alls the precious shinies! Hm? Come, come"
(8 (nat1) perception, looking for the fixtures and how best to get the massive Orrery off the floor)
Aughra looks to a door that leads down into the hill upon which her observatory sits, then glances back at Travin as he starts the monumental task of trying to figure out how to move the orrery. She looks perplexed.
Overhead, several of the spider creatures begin to skitter over the glass of the observatory.
"WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO, MAKE IT KNOWN. HM! TIME IS SHORT! TIME IS ALWAYS SHORT!"
Adam says to Travin in a gentle voice, “Hey, .. uh,.. Travin, .. bud? I don’t think you can carry all of that sh… stuff. Unless someone had some magical means to shrink it down? I can’t do that, can any of you?” He turns to look at everyone else in turn, then looks up at the ceiling and the skittering Arathim. “I think we need to get out of here. Did Gandalf say to go ahead and get the Shard or just bring Aughra back? I thought we were just to bring her back. Do you have that mirror thingy handy?” He looks up at the ceiling again. “Time is short indeed. Right you are Ms. Aughra…. my name is Ker.. Adam, nice to meetcha. Wish it were under better circumstances…”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Petite Thea rolls up here sleeves as does Skot as they realize Travin is thinking to do some amazing feat of strength. “I’ll help if I can, Travin!” Skot cries out, “Me too, brother!” As they try to aid Travin in any way they can, Thea smiles over and says, “Hello, Aughra! I’m Thea and this is Skot. Well have you out of here in a jiff!”
Travin pulls the foldable mirror out of his robe and sets it up in the middle of the atrium like a doorway, pretending to spit in his hands for grip, and he stretches slightly and tells over to Aughra, "Mithrandir means grey pilgrim, ands wanderer, yeh yeh! Odd wordplay in celestial hmmm? Funny no? Heh heh" placing a hand on either side of the base, as far as he can reach on this grand Orrery, Travin begins dragging.
It is slow, the sound of metal dragging along stone is loud, travin nods with a smile to Thea and Skot as they attempt to help.
Then whips his head around remembering something, "no time? Hm? AUGHRA can use the orrery to gives us more time yeh yeh? Saves the shard and we's all get out? Hmmm? Adam, Jek! The door! Go!"
Jek looks to the door that Mother Aughra looks at. "Wait, the Shard of Division is in the Underdark? Where in the Underdark? Is it close? How long would it take to get it? Is that what''s behind that door?"
Jek watches as Travin tries to carry the orrery. Answering Adam "Ahh, I can't shrink things down, sorry. If the shard is close, shouldn't we go for it? We can send Mother Aughra to safety first, then get the Shard. Unless it's not close?"
Jek is very confused about the orrery. "Do we need that? What is it even, it looks very nice. But that's not really why we came, right?"
The Arathim overhead begin to peck at the glass with their feet, each picking a spot on the roof to start chipping...and chipping...and chipping...
"ALWAYS NICE TO MEET ADAM." The strange woman says gruffly as she flings the door open, revealing stairs that lead down into darkness. She turns, huffs as she watches the others begin trying to pull the heavy orrery from its position. "AND THEA AND SKOT. ORRERY TO GIVE MORE TIME? WHAT SORT OF ORRERY YOU THINK THIS IS? THIS TRACKS GREAT CONJUNCTION, NOT CHANGES TIME HM."
She listens to Jek and nods, her odd shaped head bobbing up and down on top of her squat form.
"SHARD? YES, SHARD IS DOWN HERE, WHERE AUGHRA LEFT IT. YES. DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE IS SHARD, THOUGH! NEED GELFLING FOR THAT. HOPE ONE OF YOU ARE GELFLING IN DISGUISE."
She doesn't ask any questions. She just proceeds down the stairs into the dark.
With the assistance of Thea and Skot, travin attempts to tip the bulk of the orrery into his back, to where he can move quicker, if not dragging the rest of the base along the ground with him.
"Nooo, no gelfling, why gelfling HM? What makeses a gelfling specials? Hmmmmmmmm?, Travin could figures it out, yeh yeh, seems to be an easy solution yeh!"
The scraping sound becomes louder and faster as travin gets a good grip on the conjunction display and begins heading toward the mirror in a rush.
Adam moves in front of the orrery and gets Travis’s attention, looking backward at the mirror and the huge pile of equipment that he’s trying to move. “Whoa, whoa, whoa hold up there a minute my man. Thea, Skot, hold up a second. Didn’t Gandalf say that if we damage this mirror it would be a big hairy deal, as in we couldn’t get back there?” He stops and looks at the size of the orrery, the mirror on the ground, and the odds of damage to the mirror trying to shove this massive piece of equipment through it. “We are here for Aughra, and the Shard, remember? Not this thing. This is not like Johnathan’s, Travin. Come with me, let’s go down and get this shard thing and get out of here. This thing is not useful for stopping time or altering events as she said, it is just for study. It is not worth it my man.” He looks up at the skittering Arathim pecking their way into the structure and points up to Travin, trying to convince him to stop.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Travin eases the orrery conjugation display on to the ground with a thud, "bu-But shiny... Hmm?" He whimpers, scratching at his arms with a hint of shame in his obvious addiction, he sees Thea and Jek looking at him too,
"Quickly then, hmm? Travin can finds the shard thing yeh yeh! Travin has his ways, hm! AUGHRA GET IN THE MIRROR!" he yells at her as he waddles quickly towards the door that was pointed out earlier.
"Oh, hm, We's should brings the mirror too yeh? Yeh!" He casts a glance over his shoulder as he goes. Obviously trying to escape the situation he was called out on.
Thea looks at the others cheeks blushing furiously and with a sheepish, apologetic smile for getting side tracked while Skot pats Travin on the back with his tiny sprite hand. “Next time my brother next time!” Thea looks to the group. “How big are these shards? Can’t we take them all and Aughra to safety and sort it out later without risking…” she looks up, pointing to the Arathem. “I’ve no idea who I am but unless I’m a gelfling in disguise and don’t know it I don’t know if I’m much help finding this shard quickly. And time is certainly of the essence!”
Jek was happy that Adam stepped in. It seemed silly to try to bring that big thing through the mirror. He doesn't even think it will fit, plus they know when the conjunction is happening, which is very soon.
"I think Mother Aughra needs to show us where to go, first. Then we can get her to safety. Yea, we should bring the mirror. Umm, so, how the heck did you fold this thing up?" Jek will try to fold up the mirror.
He looks up as shards begin to fall. "Ahhh, that doesn't look good. We should move, yea. Umm, Ker-Adam guy, you're strong right, can you bring the mirror thingy? Should I put some more webs up there, it will make it harder for them to get in?... No that won't work. But, I can web the door shut once we get through. Let's move!" Jek heads to the door and waves everyone through. He'll go in last. "Come on come on come on! Thea, Skot, down stairs!"
As he waits for the others, he'll pull some shadows around himself and say "Fliaptlee", casting mage armor on himself.
Once everyone is through the door, he'll slam it shut and rush in. After about 30ft, he'll turn around. He'll once again manifest some shadowy threads that shoot out to form webs on the door and staircase. "Shencoo!" The 20ft cube of webbing condenses to fit the tight space, making a very dense white mass in from of him. He smiles at his work, then continues to follow the others down. "Hey, wait for me!"
The rain of glass plays a tense, playing a percussion of high notes across the floor of the main room of the observatory. Aughra doesn't even seem to notice as the door is sealed behind them and Jek webs it closed. Sealing the door brings an end to the music that was somehow appropriate for all the arachnid legs that began to reach through the glass and crawl along the ceiling as the Lightless put a solid barrier between them and their pursuers.
The sound was replaced by the depthless silence of the stairs, leading down and down, down and down...
Water patters in the dark. Softly glowing blue mushrooms punctuate the staircase from place to place, lighting things up enough for the band to see their decent.
"MANY SHARDS." Aughra says, nodding as she leads the way. Her voice chases itself up and down the corridor. "I'VE BEEN COLLECTING THEM FOR A LONG TIME. WANTED TO MAKE SURE I GOT THE RIGHT ONE, I DID. KEPT THEM DOWN HERE IN CASE SKEKSIS CAME TO GET THEM. WHICH THEY HAVE!"
She shuffled on and on down the stairs, keeping a decent pace in front of the band before stepping off the last step and making her way down a very long and extremely dark tunnel...
"AUGHRA!!" Travin damn near falls over himself as the doors burst open, then as soon as the doors swing shut, travin pulls a crowbar out of his quiver and bars it shut. "AUGHRA!!
