"During our battle with Vader's bounty hunters before the Red Bull Delph was attacked with some sort of banishment spell. For us, it was maybe minutes to an hour, for him and his fox friend it was days to weeks I believe. I plan to use that in conjunction with my plant-based magics to, give them some spice. As well as it would give me time to experiment and create an abundance of armaments without risking other missions. Kerwyn, I am happy to see that you are growing, and congratulations on your new title friend. Or old title, something along those lines." Ward says
Delphinium nods. "Yep. The feywild is wonky with time. Could be days, could be years in there before we get back. Could be years here too. That makes it more exciting! Something you should keep in mind is a lot of fey like to find unique entertainment. That reflects in the feywild too because the feywild is shaped by ideas and imagination rather then facts and reason. Anyway, it would be nice to have some spare time to raise my hydra's properly." The fairy pets one of the large hydra eggs he has. Apparently arranged in a way so that they can easily be carried by a mount of some kind. Probably the hawk they used when they first went to get the tri-force piece.
Gandalf gently and tentatively holds his hand out for Delphinium as he answers the Fairy.
"If you entrust me with it, I shall keep it safe here, in the Hall of the Celestials, until the time should come that we have the other pieces of it and can use them to heal the Crystal of Truth. I hope to return them to the Sacred Realm, the ideal home of the Golden Power anyway. It would keep them forever beyond mortal reach."
delphinium seems to think on this and says "That sounds like a good use for them. Okay, you can borrow the tri-force. Understand I may come and retrieve it at anytime I want it back. Good thing fey are not mortal otherwise I might not be able to retrieve my tri-force later when you get it to the Sacred Realm. Sounds like a great place to keep it away from all the nasty bad guys around lately." With that delphinium hands the tri-force over to Gandalf.
As the group gets ready to depart Delphinium flies in with his hawk Havok Dart following who has been kitted out with a saddle not for the fairy or a person but rather three eggs to be securely protected as well as supplies for the hydras for if they hatch. They seem quite snug with multiple blankets wrapped around them. The fairy also seems to have various supplies to take care of said eggs for when they hatch as the fairy isn't sure when that will happen. "I'm taking Havok Dart and oh! right I raided the room with all the saddles. I had to salvage some pieces from a bunch of them to put this together but now I have an easy way to transport my hydras. Weirdly, no one seems to have made saddles for eggs! Anyway, should be good now." Delphinium is then ready to go unless someone stops him.
After they land and Ironsides slithers on down, Adam walks around looking at the woods, recognizing the forest near the northwestern portion of Eternia, the trees giving it away, the white oaks and maples with strange branches midway up here. But things seem … different to him. He has travelled through the woods and seen trees from all over this land. These seem different to him, the woods look more primordial to him, appearing like they might have been 400 or 500 years ago, maybe more. It seems very strange to him.
He pats his snail and looks over its flails, somehow the snail looks bigger to him as well. “Easy boy. Something is off here. I can feel it too. I sense a disturbance….” He sits down on the ground cross legged, forming a pose in meditation. However, to the close observer, he is acting the part and trying really hard to meditate.
The flight was relaxing for the fairy. They seem hyper still but a lot of that energy seems to be going into checking on the eggs frequently. The fact the eggs are bigger then Delphinium doesn't seem to matter. He fusses over them like a mother hen. Flying back and forth between the Roc and Havok Dart seems to be a good outlet for the normally boundless energy of the tiny fey. Landing at their destination Delphinium has clear orders for Havok Dart to always avoid combat and keep the eggs safe. Otherwise, its standard day to day shenanigans for them. When Adam mentions he senses something Delph says "You do? neat. I don't sense anything. Are you sure you don't just need the bathroom? It was a long flight."
Shavaris disembarks The Roc with Running Bird and enjoys the feeling of land underneath her feet. Enjoying the ocean breeze through her hair, she walks around checking out the landscape. Having never been here before, she is surprised when Adam starts remarking about something being off.
She checks over to Travin and Dageron, a bit concerned about what is going on with this gremlin of Dagerons. So far she has kept her distance as she has never seen a creature quite like it before and she is unsure about what it's motives are. When Travin asked her earlier about the creature, she just made sure he knew that it was not for "Baggie".
When Delph had asked her more about her feelings, she smiled, put up her hand so they could light upon it and she transferred them over to her shoulder, but didn't say anything more, just enjoyed their thunderstorm light show with the friend she had missed.
As Adam sits down to start meditating, Shavaris can't help but giggle a bit. She heads over to him and sits down next to him, cross legged, but not with the meditation pose he awkwardly held. "Tell me, what disturbs you? And meditating is something I do every night, feel free to ask anything you'd like, but do what feels natural to you."
During the journey Johnathan agrees to help Travin with his chair. It reminds him of his time with his family in their family shop. As he shows Travin some of the basics with working with leather he can’t help but think how his father showed him these same skills. It gives Johnathan a sense of hope that maybe this world isn’t lost just yet and maybe one day he can teach his own children the family secrets. As Travin asks about the plant creature Johnathan looks a bit embarrassed. He had completely forgotten about the plant creature and left it in his bag for a while now. He takes it out and lets Ward and Travin play with it for a bit. He would’ve never have imagined that they would make it more human in a way with eyes now. When they have some time Johnathan also asks about Travin’s new pet and where it came from.
When they arrive at the woods Johnathan has mixed feelings about the place. The battle of the unicorns wasn’t far from here. His death site wasn’t far either. Johnathan looks to the woods for a moment and gets a bit serious again. I really don’t like this place. He stops and listens to Adam say something felt off. A disturbance? What does that mean? He pauses as he looks out into the woods. I’ll let echo have a look then. Johnathan reaches into his robes and pulls a hawk out from his pocket. It’s strange, it doesn’t look like a creature of that size could fit in such a small space and yet he seemingly does. Johnathan sends his familiar to fly in the sky and is able to see through his senses at a great distance.
"Err is Dageron's gremlins hmm? Dageron Saids that travin cans takes care of it too yeh yeh" Travin offers to Johnathan in explanation of where the new creature came from. He seems happy with the fact that twiggy is still around, even if Johnathan had forgotten about the creature, and Travin is even more pleased with the state of his freshly leathered chair once it is done, displaying it upon his back proudly.
Whilst people are looking around for the best place to start, Travin mutters a few words and raises two 5ft cubes out of the ground below his feet, making a 10ft column upon which he stands, and peers into the darkness of the forest, "shadow monsters hmmm? Things what turn friendses against eachothers yeh yeh, must be careful, gotta be carefuls hmm!? Does the labyrinth leaks this far? Coulds be danger yeh yeh" Travin's eyes flicker nervously back and forth but even so, there seems to be a confidence in his voice even when he speaks of his hallucinations, before they made him very paranoid, but now it seems he has come to an agreement with the demons that haunt him.
As Ward hears Travin talk about the Shadow monsters he pipes up. "That's another thing, if we can find something to protect your minds. Not just from the insanity of the Labyrinth, but from hostile forces. The Squid Demons managed to capture all of your minds besides mine. I assume it's due to my magics, but even if it was a one-time use that is something we should ask of Jareth as well." Ward will say, then as everyone is looking around as Guilty Spark to pop a detect magic around them.

Johnathan returns Echo to himself after being unable to gather anything useful with his senses. He replies to Ward. Mind protection won’t cut it unfortunately. Johnathan reveals has hand and makes a turning motion around one of his fingers, revealing a ring that turns from invisibility. This ring stops mind reading and telepathy if I will it. The monsters were able to identify this and spoke to me directly to put me under their spell. We need a way to repel magic but that isn’t easy or cheap.
Travin begins to set off into the treeline, Birt following loyally behind him, "it's this way right? Hmm? Where are we goings first? Labyrinth? Yeh yeh! Travin forgets after a wholes week on a big bird. Hmm!"
Travin keeps a cautious eye out as he proceeds forward, (18 perception)
Dageron looks at Johnathan's ring, and listens to the other's accounts of what to expect. "Let us check in verbally with one another every twenty minutes, quietly. Stay close, but not bunched up. Everyone in sight of everyone else. If anyone acts strangely, or nob-responsive, we stop and all assess."
“Oh Dageron the mind control was not here, if one of us becomes insane that we are used to. Those that controlled them were those that took Ro. They shouldn’t meet us again of their own will for a while.” Then, turning to Johnathan, “I have been working on developing a way to combat them. Remind me of that ring later as well, it’s base magic may be able to be utilized against them. Those beasts will die once we have the time.” Ward says, him looking down at his skin remembering how they stole from him.

Travin's voice drifts toward the group from behind the trees, "Travin cans control minds if we wants that hmm? And no dawnguard is goings insane, yeh yeh so longs as we keeps away from monkey men and their nasty dusts! YEH!"
There is s moment of silence from the unseen junk creature, then a tearing of fabric and an odd popping noise, travin giggles as he clatters around unseen and then emerges from the treeline sitting atop a white riding horse complete with its own saddle bags. "Looks what Travin found! Hmm! Travin shall call him, Artax! Yeh yeh! Travin heards that name somewhere befores hmmm?" The horse strains a little from Travin's weight before getting it's footing, it looks around curiously as if it has never seen the world before.
It wouldn’t hurt to protect ourselves against a known threat. Johnathan motions around the ring with his fingers, turning it ever so slightly until it is invisible again. We can discuss this when we are out of this crazy forest. Johnathan still feels very uneasy about the woods. Johnathan thinks to himself as he approaches the area.

Travin pulls the reins a little and sidles up beside the group, addressing Dageron "labyrinth isn't so bad, yeh yeh Travin spent years and decades and centuries trapped there, and Travin is ok hmmm?" Entering the forest is telling. This isn't Faron Woods. It's unlike any forest that the heroes has ever been in. The trees...the trees are weird. Some of them sway on phantom wind that doesn't exist. A drop of what looks like blood drips from the bows of one tree and splatters across Dageron's hand. It smells coppery.
A cold veil of fog crawls along the ground, over the leaves of the forest floor. It's colder than the air above it, and muffles the crunch of leaves as they walk.
Something like a monkey with huge yellow eyes and one finger that is ridiculously long sits in the hollow of a rotting tree. When it blinks, one eye closes, then the other a few seconds later. Anyone who looks into its eyes feels like their chest is tightening...like it's getting hard to breathe.
Nothing comes out of the forest to accost them, even with all the bizarrities that they see...
Ward moves over to the tree with a creature in it. He talks back and forth and eventually hugs the creature. He converses with it a bit before it begins to shake and emit a green gas. And within 25-30 ft of it begin to sort of breath. “Back up!” Ward yells to the group and his claws extend out dripping poison. Then he keep talking with the monkey before backing up slowly, staying in between the monkey and the group. “I think we leave? Ill be honest I don’t really know what to do. It’s not attacking us and so I don’t want to kill it so I think it is best we move on.” Ware says, and if the group moves on he will continue to be between that area and the group in case the monkey charges them.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As talk of the jerks that played mind magic on Delphinium earlier in their travels the fairy says "I got a plan for all that mind stuff. They won't have it as easy next time. My mind is not easily influenced and I'm ready for them this time. So, you don't have to worry about me being controlled." They seem quite ready to have another round with those things. The tiny fairy seeming confident but not elaborating on what their plan is.
Delphinium is fascinated with this forest. So bizarre and otherworldly. It is not like his home in the feywild filled with colors and hidden dangers nor like his home in the Kokiri forest filled with friendly creatures and a sense of peace. This feels more like danger, like a warning to stay away. Not at all inviting like the Labyrinth either, "This doesn't feel like the labyrinth magic, it feels like something else. Is that blood on the trees? Oh, they might not be friendly at all then. Best be polite to the locals or they might find reasons to attack us. They might anyway but then we can fight them!" As the group continues Delphinium checks out the local foliage to see what they can figure out. Not touching anything as the plants have obvious signs of damage but trying to figure out what they are exactly all the same. The tiny fairy looking all around until they reach the monkey thing.
Perception: 10
Nature Check: 24
When the monkey comes into view and makes the fairy feel tight in the chest it just makes the fairy more interested in the critter. They flutter to land on Ward's shoulder and says to ward "Shouldn't we be polite and introduce ourselves? We are in his home after all. Seems rude not to learn a bit about the animals here." Delphinium as usual shows almost no signs of fear but an endless well of curiosity as he waves politely to the monkey then looks back to Ward as they remain perched on their shoulder.
Dageron thinks on the mix of observations, oddities, and finally Delphiniums notion that it all seemed different somehow to what the Labyrinth is usually like. "Do any of you have access to the spell True Sight? We may find that what we see isn't real. At least, not as we see it."
The monkey thing shakes, sputters, makes all sorts of noises as Ward interacts with it. It reaches up with one finger that is much, much longer than the others, some multijointed digit of nearly nine inches in length, and makes a shushing motion over its mouth before reaching out to caress a rusty spot on Ward's shoulder. Once it begins to shake, it ignores Delphinium. Green gas exudes from its body and smells horrible. Beyond horrible. It smells almost as bad as the Catoblepas had during the fight in the Bog of Eternal Stench.
When the gas starts to float from the creature, the trees around it begin making breathing motioned, like their trunks are expanding and contracting. A few even begin to wheeze.
The monkey thing ignores Delphinium's approach, and never tries to move closer as Ward backs away. It just keeps shaking and emanating the horrid smelling gas.
Travin flicks a wrist toward the creature and summons a gust of wind buffeting the green gas away from the group, warning the creature with a scowl and a sharp "no!"
He then pulls his chainsaw out itching to use it should the need arise, or maybe if he gets bored.
A look of intrigue crosses Dageron's face. "If this creature could sustain such a gas attack, it would be useful on a battlefield... barring what the gas does.. other than stink. Let us not harass the creatures we find unless we have cause. This one seems content to let us pass."
Adam stops checking his six, and his nine and his three, making different poses in all four quadrants. His nose wrinkles as he is assaulted by the gas. “Travin, is that you?” Finally he turns and notices the monkey. “Is that your monkey Travin?”
He notes the trees and points this out to everyone. “Everything here is wrong. There’s a disturbance in the force I’m tellin ya. This is all wrong, the trees are… different.” He strikes a dramatic pose of readiness.

DM of AURYN: The Measure of Devotion - Escape from New York
