Adam pulls out his lightsaber and throws it at the foul thing in chains, it returns to his hand and he throws it one more time, slicing it with the blade. As a bonus action, it returns to his hand. He uses a point of ki to run and dash after Johnathan, moving toward the exit. “Let’s get out of here! Shavaris, where is she, is she okay?”
Action : Thrown lightsaber attack 1 : 22 to hit, for 20 points of slashing damage, and 5 points of radiant damage, his hp max is reduced by this amount of radiant damage.
Thrown lightsaber attack 2 :23 to hit for 20 points of slashing damage.
Ralik's sudden teleportation of Shavaris completely disorients her. It wasn't what she was expecting, well none of this was. She was feeling really bad and now... she feels her legs losing strength (failed CON save, now 2nd level exhaustion).
She looks around and finds herself and Ralik in a stairwell, the slow on the uptake librarian now below them. She turns to Ralik with panic in her eyes, "Are you ok? Did it get you too? We need to get out of here, I hope the others are moving." She sounds strained and slow, but she starts up the stairs anyways.
She uses her bonus action for a second wind, getting 12 hps back and then uses her action to dash as far as her halved speed will let her go to get away.
Johnathan's Eldritch Blasts blow some of the goo balls to pieces, splattering them in all directions as they attempt to take on a more corporeal form. This provides enough covering fire for Ralik to grab Shavaris and get the two of them far out of the reach of the things poison cloud and to the top of the stairs.
As the fleeing Dawn Guard begin to reach the exit, Adam throws his lightsaber. The flashing weapon strikes once, returns, and flies true again, but attacks hitting the creature hard. The second buzzes its side and splits it open, and it screams as innards spill out and drag the floor. It's obviously hurt bad by the attack, but it doesn't stop.
"You are all so very pathetic. Weak imitations of heroes. You came here to do what?" It mocks as it moves, its voice loud, booming, threatning. The voice changes as it speaks and becomes decidedly more feminine and familiar. "To save me? Save me Dawn Guard! Save me! Save me save me save meeeeee hahahaha!"
The wicked laugh is hideous, bone chilling as the voice changes back.
"The Dawn Guard can't even save themselves." It continues as its chains reach up, swiping and tearing at the roof overhead until a shower of lumber, dust, and book shelves topple into from the main floor of the library. "Aaaahhhh...but can't forget Johnathan now, can we? How did you do it, Johnathan? How did you cast off the blessing I gave you? I had such high expectations."
As the falling debris clears, the chains of the thing begin to pull the monster up through the floor, toward the main level of the library.
While this is happening, the two Travin clones saunter down the main aisle of the primary level, looking very lost and out of place....

Delphinium can see that things aren't going their way. Not at all. And they don't like it. The little Fairy takes a moment to study his friends and the situation they're dealing with before zooming to action like a little teal-blue blur.
The Fairy gets within range of the monster in the blink of an eye, feeling the effects of its poison pretty quickly as it the thing continues to clamber up through the hole it has created in the floor. The first astral fist nails the creature with a almost comical splat. Delphinium keeps up the attack, arms swinging wildly in the air, but the overwhelming power of the things toxic miasma takes effect on them pretty quick and they miss both additional swings.

Coming to a conclusion, Dageron yells to Adam and the others "The main floor... it's moving through the roof of this level to cut us off up there. It's a trap! We have to keep ascending to the second floor then jump out a window. The fall will hurt, but likely far less than a fight with this entity. This creature seems neither fast nor agile, I believe it is our best chance to escape and regroup."
Travin sees through the holes in the floor, the monster attacking the people he has grown to know, and them taking damage and shouting out declaring the battle an inevitable loss.
He rushes toward the stairs seeing the two Travin's sauntering down the corridor he calls out, "come over here yeh yeh! We need you Travins hmmm! Big bloblob monster has gotta die, Yeh!".
As he rounds the top of the stairs Travinbot encounters Shavaris and Ralik, neither looking good, placing a hand on each of them the glow from his band of intellect can be seen warming slightly under his gothic illusion "now that I'm trapped in this body I may aswell make better use of it" he mutters with a lonely disgust of himself.
He casts Enhance Ability Bear's Endurance, granting Shavaris and Ralik advantage on any constitution saving throws and granting each of them 11 temp hp at the same time. "Run as fast as you can."
The creature begins to emerge from the the hole and onto the main floor of the library, it's many eyes looking in all directions as it begins to take in its surroundings. Innards continue to leak from the hole in its side, splattering along the floor, dribbling back down into the hole.
"A grievous error." It says as its eyes settle on Adam. Its eyes blink in rapid succession as green magic pulses toward him across the room.
Around the monster, the patrons who hadn't evacuated quickly enough begin to cough and sicken...
Behind the Dawn Guard, the Barlgura begins to regain its senses and heads up the stairs after them.

Ralik Johnathan Adam Shavaris DM Dageron Delph Travin Barlgura
Keeping pace with Shavaris, Ralik looks to a window. “I can get us out through there, you’ll have to work with me on this though.” He says as he activates his boots of flying, lifting himself off the ground. (Requesting help with an Acrobatics roll.) "Sure, I'll work with you, thanks for this" She replies.
Her lips move but he hears nothing. However he does note the confirming body language.
He turns and lets her climb onto his back, holding on to him with a bear hug around his torso. He faces the window, backs up a bit, then rushes at it full speed. Moments before meeting the glass he pulls his legs in, flipping forward in mid air to meet the window with the bottoms of his feet with an "OAH!". (Acrobatics: 7/23 /w Help)
The glass shatters as they fly through, Ralik covering their heads with his arms to protect from the shards.
Quickly righting himself, the Nomad flies the duo to a near by alley where he lets her off to catch her breath. He looks back to the building they came from with a stoic gaze.
"I still cannot hear, but I will go back." he says, dispersing his daggers and materializing a long bow.
"The beast needs to see to use its dark magic. We cannot get close to it. I must envelope in Darkness but I no longer have the power to. If we continue to fight it we must do so at range, unless the poison no longer effects us, then I must get close and give it my all. Either way, I need the Darkness to blind it."
"Johnathan might still have the power for that?" She replies, but again, Ralik does not know what she's saying.
He watches to see if she gets better. He is ready to go back in but, reluctant to leave a wounded friend alone.
(Spell effect roll # 3 = 17 failed. Back to level 1 exhaustion. # of rolls passed to end effect 1/3)
Johnathan face freezes in shock as he hears the goo talk about his curse. Up to now it’s only been a voice taunting him in his head, very easy to pass it as some sort of trick. But this was no coincidence. How could it know what was happening to him? Why was he being targeted by this being? Johnathan shakes his head, pushing the thought out of his mind. There was no time for this, they were still in great trouble.
He looks to the others. We got to move, don’t listen to this thing. It’s trying to get in our heads. Johnathan spends his movement going towards the window that Ralik jumped out of. As he moves Johnathan makes contact with Echo telepathically. Echo, follow Shavaris. Return to me if her condition becomes serious. Echo flys out the window ahead of Johnathan and will hover near Shavaris. Johnathan continues to shoot Eldritch beams at the goo monster.
Glass shatters and Ralik and Shavaris fly out the window into the street, with at least one patron leaping out behind them, screaming and running into the traffic of the street. A taxi drive shakes a fist out their window and screams 'a$$hole!' at the top of their lungs.
Johnathan's first Eldritch Blast slams into the monster and dissipates, but the second hits the wound that Adam has opened and blows a hole straight out its back, pulling guts out with it. But the monster barely slows down, and still looks absolutely murderous as it shrugs off the damage and the pain and shifts its attention to Johnathan.
"Yes yes...don't listen to what I have to say."The thing mocks, its eyes blinking rapidly in Johnathan's direction. "Definitely don't listen to how everything he thought about his gift was a lie he didn't understand and that when it was gone he missed it. Alas. I shall simply have to bestow another gift upon him."
Pink yellow magic flashes again, this time washing over Johnathan...

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Shavaris attempts to make another CON save now safely hidden away in the alley and bolstered by Travin's spell. Unfortunately, it doesn't go well (19). She's about to succumb to another level of exhaustion when something deep inside her starts to push through. An almost feral feeling that finds its way to the surface with her in her weakened state. Her eyes go black, her fangs start to grow and she reaches for the person next to her...
Shav is trying to fight it, the person next to her is Adam. But she is too weak and her bodies need is too great. "I... I am sorry..." is all she manages to squeak out before she attempts to sink her fangs into Adam's arm and drink his blood...
Weak as she is, if Adam doesn't just let her, she misses (attack 9). But if he does, she adds (damage 5) to her CON save and makes it.
"You cannot run!" The monster calls as the Dawn Guard heads toward the window, followed by the Ghostbusters. He screams and howls in rage as its slow moving hulk glides through the library, putting it quickly within range of Travin. The miasma descends over the bard. "I will find you! I will kill you! You cannot escape! I will kill everyone I see while I search for you! I will carve a path of carnage the likes of which this city has never seen! Face me!"
Then, as Dageron tops the stairs, it takes aim at him...and vomits a great steam of disgusting, dark green liquid straight at him...
Behind the Dawn Guard, the surviving slime creature begins to squirm its way up the steps...

Unsure of what else to do as the Dawn Guard and their cohort begin a tactical retreat, Delph scoops up Stantz and flies him outside before heading back in to grab Zeddemore and get him outside as well, clearing two of the four Ghostbusters from the calamity.
"It is not for ants to know the machinations of gods." The thing replies to Dageron as it continues its slow onslaught. It's eyes roll from staring toward the fleeing Dageron and land on Travin. "Flesh and bones are weak and malleable. Observe."

"I no longer have flesh or bones, now you will feel the might of chaos that even the gods cannot control" says travin sadly as the wave washes over him without notice. (con save 25)
Then as the travin clones get closer to this beast Travbot moves further away, heading to the window. Just before he exits he turns and shouts over, "TRAVINS! IM SORRY, IM SORRY THAT WE FAILED IN THE ONE THING THAT MATTERS TO US, AND IM SORRY THAT ITS OUR FAULT. TRAVINS AREN'T MEANT TO BE HAPPY, THIS IS YOUR FATE." and with that Travbot lifts up a swinging ball of gore by the hair, Gavin's features now starting to sink, his gaunt eyes rolled in the back of his head and his jaw swinging lifelessly, horrifically. The Travins turn and at the same time look upon the head for the first time, realising what this is and what this means to them.
Travbot watches for a moment longer as the static in the air picks up, the loose grasp of control that the travin clones had on their chos magic begins to slip, as the emotions of grief, loss and guilt wash through them. Trav bot opens his arms as if accepting his fate, but then falls backwards out of the window. Illusory tears streak down his illusory face, reflecting his own emotions that can no longer be shown on the metallic hide he now inhabits.
The head sails into the room, thumping to the floor between the two Travin's and then rolling to a stop, the sunken eyes staring up at the ceiling.
The first of the Travin's grabs the side of his head, uttering a combination of 'no no no yeh yeh yeh' over and over as he stares down at Gavin's head. Energy crackles up the hump of junk on his back and then arcs out, dancing through the air and across the ceiling, leaving burned streaks as unmitigated wild magic escapes from his body.
Then there's an explosion as a suped up Fireball explodes at his position. Most of his clothes and hair and burned away instantly and his junkpile bursts into flames, but the Travin stays upright, waling into the void of sorrow. Gavin's head evaporates in the explosion...as do many of the fleeing, sickened patrons of the library.
His twin, next to him, is blasted by the same explosion, though with far less spectacular results. However, he turns his eyes in horror at his companion and stumbles off in the opposite direction, getting as far away from his twin as possible.
The Barlgura is destroyed as it crests the top of the stairs, as the hovering ball of filth and putrefaction takes a face-full of the explosion. The hole ripped in its side gives as its body is torn apart, splattering in pieces to the floor. The thing screams, then laughs, then screams, then tries to speak even as its liquifying body is boiled away.
"I am not done with you! Not yet! Not by a longshot!" It says just before it is destroyed.
Travbot watches from the his position, crouched on the window ledge, watching the utter destruction that is the physical embodiment of his grief, his clones in the those of the sorrow and failure that has quickly become a normalcy to him, his expression remains cold and he turns away from it, looking now to the party regrouping outside. "Get back to the sewers, I'll be along to help soon" he throws a book toward Dageron, lightly enough for the bugbear to easily catch, on the cover of the book is a picture of a gargoyle, and then Travbot jumps back into the library and out of sight.
Adam dashes for the exit, unclear as to what the hell he just witnessed. “Shavaris, Ralik, are you ok? Let’s get the hell out of here, all of these long headed books are going to burn!”

It is Travin's turn!

The library begins to burn...
DM of AURYN: The Measure of Devotion - Escape from New York
