Johnathan shakes his head as the effects the goo put on him during battle wears off. He gives one longing look at the scene of the battle before seeing Travin run back inside. Travin, what in oblivion are you doing? But it was too late as he runs back into the library. Johnathan summons Echo and telepathically speaks to him. Echo, follow Travin. Make sure he doesn’t get himself killed. Echo will follow Travin, but keeps a distance as to not disturb him with whatever he is doing.
Johnathan makes his way outside and sees the others. We’ve got to move. We can’t be caught up in this or we might have the law enforcement on us again. Where are we heading?
Shavaris looks at her friends, glad to see so many of them have gotten out of the library. "To the sewers? What about the ghostbusters, what happened to them?"
As the smoke clears around the window and the roaring of the explosion and the ringing of ears and the screams of the dead and dying begins to subside, Shavaris realizes that the Ghostbusters are nearby, coughing and choking in the smoke. She first sees Venkman, fanning a hand in front of his face. Spengler is next to him, his glasses halfway off, his hair sticking up in all directions and covered in soot and powdered drywall and at least one fleck of paper that is burned around the edges. Zeddemore and Stantz are nearby.
There are sirens in the distance.
"What the hell was that!" Zeddemore said, looking horrified back toward the window they had escaped from.
"No doubt a manifestation of psychomagnetheric slime." Spengler said, patting his pockets looking for something. When he realized he didn't have it, he shrugged. "I left my PKE meter behind. I don't think this should surprise us, though. We were seeing an uptick in psychomagnetheric slime accumulations in the sewers recently. I'm actually surprised we didn't see any this morning while we were down there."
"You mean down there...in the sewers...where Janine is?" Venkman asked, somewhat surprised by Spengler's calm demeanor.
Before there is time to answer, there is a flash of brilliant light in the midst of the Dawn Guard. As Delphinium zips about, asking if everyone is okay, a rift opens in the air, and suddenly the little Fairy is gone, literally grabbed out of the air by some magical force and drawn off to somewhere else in the blink of an eye. They don't even have time to say bye...
Dageron, expression changed from thoughtful appreciation at the explosion, to one of cold homicidal intent at the sudden disappearance of his comrade. A growl, unmistakably inhuman, comes unbidden.
"We are being tracked, and the enemy has changed tactics from trying to kill us in one strike, to picking us off one by one." His words are laced with rage. "We would have been easy prey if that thing came at us in the sewers..."
Dageron looks around, taking in the strange Human world. Somehow both frail and deadly. "Adam, we need a plan here. I would like the team's permission to use the rod... But not here."
After a moment Travbot comes out of the now ruinous library, stowing something dripping away into a box and looking around, he is followed by two sobbing travin clones, who are still badly injured but don't appear to be actively dying.
"What are you all doing? we need to get out of here fast so I can get Shavaris and Ralik cured, I need space to work and maybe time that we don't have."
Johnathan spends a few moments monitoring Travin as he goes through the library. Once he sees what he was doing Johnathan returns to his senses and listens in on the ghost busters. He is frozen in shock when Delphinium is taken. No!! Not Delph again? What is going on? How are we being targeted like this. Johnathan frantically looks around in fear that another portal may open at any moment. When Dageron asks to use the rod Johnathan responds. What are you planning to do with that?
Adam shifts his weight from one side to the other and looks at Dageron, nodding after Johnathan, saying “Yes, what are you planning with that? Is that for use on those fellows in the cars with the annoying sounds and lights on their car? We need to flee!” He turns to the ghostbusters, saying “Do you have any other options to get us out of here? We need transportation.. and fast!”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Dageron moves closer to Adam as the group begins to hastily move away from the now smoldering library. Leaning in, he says, "To use it on the leadership of this city, to have them command the full sum of its resources, manpower, and might at our enemies. Doing so, if done right, would allow us the upper hand in a way not otherwise achievable. We would find all there is to find on Ivo Shander very quickly. We would be able to track enemy troop movements directly through their lawgivers. Doing so would alert the government of these Humans through firsthand knowledge of the dangers of the incursions into their world without the commoners finding out. Once done, and their leaders freed from their thrall, they would have full say over how - or if - they tell their citizens. And that we are not their enemies, as once I have control we will not abuse it for personal gain or petty wants. If done right, we would already be leaving by time their enthrallment ends. This is only possible for a 15 hour window, once precisely seven hours before dawn, then again right after dawn. I know how you and the others feel about this item, but it is a power that can be used for good, and we have few cards to play at this point." As if to make his point, he offers the Rod of Rulership to Adam. "I will not take this action without the consent of the group."
Ralik looks around at his teammates gather and begin to move their mouths. The high pitch whine was bearable now, but he still couldn't hear a damn thing. He transforms his bow into two scimitars and sheathes them upside down on his back to be covered by his cloak.
"I CAN'T HEAR SHIT!" Ralik practically shouts.
"LET'S GET THE **** OUTTA HERE!"
The new words he had seen on TV just felt right. He had no clue what was going on, but he was getting anxious. He kept his head on a swivel to observe the situation around them in anticipation of another enemy popping up.
He sees Delph get magically snatched up from existence, then turns his head slowly to the others incredulously.
Shavaris breathes a sigh of relief as everyone appears to be accounted for once she sees the ghostbusters and then Travin and his twins emerge from the library. She hears the concern about this Janine, but decides to not let it bother her, she'll figure it out, the abomination is now gone. Plus, she was way too tired to consider anything beyond their current situation. As Spengler starts searching his pockets and says some meter he forgot, Shavaris pulls out the meter type thing she found in their garage and asks, "Is this something you're looking for?"
Then Delph disappears and everyone and everything doesn't make as much sense. She's too tired to try and figure things out, so she lets the others talk and see what to do next. She does lean over to the ghostbusters, "Where do you think we should go next? We definitely need to get out of here." She smiles to Travin and his concern, "Now that the creature is gone, I don't think Ralik and I are in danger any longer, just... exhausted. So let's get out of here and then if you could help us, that would be great." She then cringes as Ralik shouts...
Travbot nods to Shavaris, happy that the emergency is over, but is growing frustrated, "I'll still need to check both of you" he agrees gently before looking up into the air and wondering out loud and angrily "where the hell is Fireflight!?"
Turning to the ghostbusters and grabbing at Egon, Travbot drags the man closer as they run "we need to get to the nearest large holy ground, a church or cathedral, Now! That thing dragged it's ass back below ground and I'm sorry but if your friend was still down there it's too late for her, don't let her death be in vain we can stop all of this." Casting a glance behind them Trav makes sure his clones and the deafened Ralik are following the group.
The Ghostbusters look between the Dawn Guard as they chatter, and Zeddemore is already heading toward a manhole cover in an alleyway as he looks back over his shoulder to listen.
"Yeah we're basically useless without our proton packs." He says, way too disconnected from any real feeling for the Dawn Guard to care when Delphinium disappears. "You guys are just haunted with weird shit huh?"
Spengler looks genuinely shocked when Shavaris hands him the PKE meter she stole in the garage. He reaches out and takes it gently from her.
"Thanks. This could be really handy." He says as he hits a button. Two little antenna flip out from the sides and lights travel up and down their length. He studies it for a moment, then points it toward the window. "Nothing. I think the library is clear for now."
"Egon, you hearin' this?" Venkman says, drawing a little closer to the pragmatic scientist. "They're talking about taking over city hall. You do speak English, yeah? These weirdos do too. City hall, Egon. I mean I wouldn't mind to make that Walter Peck guy do some degrading stuff but that may be a little bit mu...wait...what?"
"No, absolutely not. No." Stantz says, becoming really animated. "We are NOT leaving Janine down there! I don't know how they do things in your world but would you leave him..."
He points at Adam...
"Or her..."
He points at Shavaris...
"Or him down there?"
He points at Ralik.
"We aren't do that. You people can do whatever you want but we're going to get Janine. And then our proton packs."
Travbot looks at Stanz incredulously and angrily answers his rhetorical question "would we? Would we!? See that's a damn good question human, because I have the head of our friend and another of my brother in a f*cking box, they died today, and we dont have time to stop and grieve, Delph just got snatched out of the f*cking air by forces beyond this world, Ralik has died before... Shit keeps happening and we dont have time! You guys think we are haunted, you're goddamn right. Now move!"
Johnathan gives a confused look to Dageron as he explains his plan with his magic item. You sure that’s wise? I don’t think the people of this realm even know of magic. If you brainwash them with this it will lead them to hunt us down and expose where we come from. That would lead to a whole planar war as we would be seen as invaders. Also, how are we even going to get close enough to the leaders of this realm? We can’t even go down the street without having something completely derail us. Johnathan pauses as he tries to think what the party should do next.
I say we keep this simple, let’s just get out of here and regroup. I think I may be able to communicate with Delphinium when we have a moment. Hopefully it works out better than that last spell. The last line seems to make Johnathan go a bit red with embarrassment. Demon summoning is probably not a good idea in this realm either. Besides, that goo seemed to control it when I lost focus. Johnathan looks to the ghostbusters. I have Echo my hawk looking for your friend now. Did you at least find out more on the buildings from Ivo Shandor?
The Ghostbuster's look at one another after Travin's outburst, and then Echo zips into the sewers as Zeddemore flips the manhole cover out of the way. With a shrug, and a final look at Venkman, Zeddemore slips into the manhole cover and starts climbing down into the dark.
"Man, sometimes I really, reeaallllyy hate this job." He murmurs.
"No." Spengler answers Johnathan as the Ghostbusters shuffle toward the open sewer cover. "We didn't have time. We've never seen anything like that...thing...back there. I don't think it is wise to continue using only stealth for security. If a regroup and reexamination of the situation is what you're hoping for, maybe we can go over what we all collectively learned. But right now I don't think it's much."
Venkman follows Zeddemore after that, then Spangler and Stantz in that order. They don't wait to see if the Dawn Guard is following them as they go looking for Janine...
Shavaris sighs and slowly gets to her feet. Looking pointedly at Travin, "They're right you know. I wouldn't leave you in the sewer and just wait to hear what happened to you. We haven't had a good go of it, true, but we're still here and we have to find Sara. C'mon."
Shavaris slowly starts following the Ghostbusters.
"fine!" Travin bites back, the frustration hardly restrained in his tinny voice, as Shavaris turns her back on him to follow the Ghostbusters "What's the plan then, find Janine, help these guys get their equipment and then go after Vigo? It's vague and unnecessarily dangerous at best, but I guess that's just what we do isn't it..."
As the group follows Travis hangs back to speak quietly to Adam and Johnathan.
"I don't know how these busters are planning on helping us but so far it seems they haven't... I don't know what you guys expect of them but I think we should have a last resort planned, just in case. Shavaris and Ralik's lives are forfeit if we don't deliver the buster's heads to strahd in a few days. If it gets tight are you willing to pay that price or to do what's needed?" To these two it's seems that train is rapidly moving through the stages of grief and has currently landed himself in between anger and bargaining, causing the anxious frustration in him that he displayed before.
Adam is confused by what is happening, saying when the plan is being discussed, “So, we just ran out of a building to escape a horrible slime ball monster (that hurt the hell out of me by the way…) and now… we are rushing back below ground where it likely is to maybe get Janine, that grouchy lady in the ghostbuster’s office, while everything else hangs in the balance? Right. If we help them, do we even know if they will help us with Vigo? I think they will split after they find her.” He stops, considering, then sees Shavaris start to proceed and he says “Dammit. Here we go. Why can’t anything be simple?” Adam moves to follow Shavaris.
When Travin pulls him aside, Adam whispers back,
“Yeah, I haven’t forgot. If this is just dragging on and on and on, we may need to do that. I won’t let Shavaris and Ralik die for this bullshit. It feels like we are on a wild goose chase…”
