Jake's runs a jumps over the pit (athletics 12+2=14) landing comfortably on the other side.
(Oldman walks on to the ledge and follows Jake across with no issue. Athletics 9+2+3(Guidance)= 14) Note: I rolled for him because he is currently on vacation at Disney
Alright, getting back at this. Everyone looks to have made it across the pit trap. The door is unlocked, and I presume you all choose to move into the next area. The door opens onto a five-foot-wide landing fifteen feet above a large cellar, with stone steps descending to the floor in two short flights. Another door stands beneath the stairs to the north. A large stone cistern occupies the western part of the room, whose walls are lined with kegs and barrels. There is no one in the room and a door to the west and a door to the east which appears to be the entrance to the cellar.
Also, 20 XP to each party member for traversing the pit trap.
Jake moves down the steps to the northern wall of barrels, inspecting them carefully. He picks one of the barrels and taps on it, trying to judge if it's full or empty. He pries the lid up to get a look at the contents. What does he find? Is this just a provisions storeroom?
Both doors are unlocked. The water is just water. As Tubard leans toward the door near the water to check if it’s unlocked, he hears voices on the other side. You hear several men talking, and with your passive perception, you surmise that there are 3 remaining Redbrands in the room beyond.
Have at ‘em, boys - first to the egg! You’ve managed to surprise them since you checked the door. No initiative order, take your actions and then any Redbrands left standing can go. Just name which one you’re attacking (1, 2, or 3). 14 AC to hit, with 16 HP.
Jake, seeing the Redbrands aren't paying attention, rushes through the open door. He moves to the opposite side of the room, putting Redbrand 1 between himself and the doorway (setting up flanking for his cohorts.) Jake takes a mighty swing with his mace (18 to hit) and strikes the Redbrand in the side, doing 5 damage. He then shouts to the others "Quick! While they're occupied!"
(Galben moves towards the door, stays behind Tubard kneels and shoots any arrow at Redbrand 1. It flies over bearkillers shoulder and goes through the Redbrands neck. He falls to the floor...lifeless.) (Attack roll 8+7=15, Damage 6+3= 9 piercing damage)
"One down, I finally hit something OldMan let's see if you are my equal!"
OldMan steps into the room and quickly seeing the melee and Redbrand 1 quickly meeting his doom. He lifts his hands high doing his best to clear his friends and cast firebolt at Redbrand 2. The bolt flies true smashing into the ruffian. 17+6 =23 to hit and 10 for damage. The ruffians flesh burns and bubbles as he feels the full force of the spell.
"You boys sure are working well as a team. Perhaps we should call ourselves Redbrand killers."
Tubard rages and and swings his great axe at Redbrand 3 (14+5=19 to hit) and decapitates the foe (11+3+2=16!) He turns toward Redbrand 2 "You want to tell us something about Glastaff before we kill you?" (Intimidation 17+2=19)
The Redbrand shudders ever so slightly as the reality of his situation sinks in. "Who am I to know such things? Glastaff keeps to himself in his quarters at the western end of the compound. If your beef is with him, seek him there."
Regula steps through the door and into the fray, swinging his longsword at the remaining Redbrand. "The time for talking is over. Let us finish these treacherous snakes." And he brings the sword down toward the Redbrand in a huff of fury, glancing off the shoulder armor of the Redbrand with the broadside of his sword. "Perhaps someone else might do the honors, then." (10 to hit, fails).
The Ruffian grabs the wound, stumbling slightly. Gathering his strength, he stabs at Regula using his multiattack, slashing visciously across Regula's midsection and Regula easily takes two steps back away from the blade (6 to hit, miss; 7 to hit, miss).
Regula chuckles menacingly. "My turn again," this time connecting with the ruffian (23 to hit), causing 11 points of slashing damage.

Tubard looks at the group “Hope my drinking habits don’t get in the way here (15+5=20 athletics check). He takes a celebratory swig from his flask.
