"Very good," Linene responds. She goes behind the counter and returns with a coin purse, handing over the 301 gp. "Is there anything else I can do for you?"
"We have a variety of daggers, rapiers, and greatswords - all are of common variety. As to any special quivers and arrows, we have mostly standard gear. We could certainly silver plate any weapons or arrows but that's about as special as it gets here. Barthen should have basic healing potions in stock, I should think." Turning to Jake. "A quarterstaff? Of course. Is this a new acquisition or a replacement for an existing one?"
DM Note: Bearkiller has had scheduling constraints such that he hasn't been able to participate at the level he would like, so Phil is going to play Bearkiller in addition to Galben.
Jake hands over the remnants of his quarterstaff. "I made kindling of my old quarterstaff. I would like a suitable replacement. Nothing fancy; as a man of the cloth I prefer function to aesthetics."
Jake thinks for a moment, then adds "would you happen to have a length of rope, say, 50 feet? I am also looking for some manacles or shackles. Something durable."
The wheels are turning in Jake's head. "Furthermore, do you have a silver mace? Some holy water? A set of wooden stakes? If you don't have a silver mace I would like you to silver plate my current mace. How much would that run?"
"The rapier is 25 gp new, 20 for a used one. I contract with the local smith to do my silver plating. It would take him a day to do a weapon or 10 arrows. The cost is 100 gp per weapon or 10 arrows/ammunition. One arrow would be 10 gp and could be ready by eventide tomorrow. I don't keep any silvered weapons in stock, unfortunately, as they are all custom orders."
Turning to Jake, "I take it your quarterstaff was broken as you attempted to secure my goods and supplies? If so, you can take a quarterstaff of your choosing from my inventory. I believe they are all common, nothing fancy as you say, but you might find the wood type you're looking for. Manacles are 2 gp, and a length of hemp rope is 1 gp. As for stakes, you can buy them in packs of 10 for 1 cp. I don't have any holy water but you might ask Sister Garaele at the Shrine of Luck."
(Bearkiller and Galben look at each other and think for a minute)
"I'll take a new rapier, thank you" (Replys Bearkiller)
"One silver arrow for 10 gp works for me. I'll pay you tomorrow when I pick up the arrow. Take 5 store credit off for Bearkillers rapier so he will owe you 20 gp and take 5 gp off in sotre credit for my arrow so I will owe you 5 gp. That leaves 20 gp store credit for the rest of the group (5 gp per person)
(Bearkiller puts 20 gp on the table and takes the rapier)
"Good lady, your generosity is appreciated. I will avail myself of this white oak staff here, with the flame-burnished ends. I desire the silver mace, but alas, I cannot afford it. I would like to return in the future, though."
She narrows her eyes as you say the word Redbrands. "All of them are trouble. I refuse to do business with them. What's your affiliation with them?" she asks suspiciously.
"A friend of ours has gone missing and we are looking from him, Gundren Rockseeker perhaps you know of him, we have heard this group is behind much of the unrest in town and we are looking for information that could help us find Gundren and slow down this band of troublemakers."
"I am sorry to hear of your friend. I don't know him and unfortunately don't know his whereabouts. Can I give you a word of advice? Don't underestimate the Redbrands; they're bad news. I'd suggest avoiding the Sleeping Giant taphouse which is where many of them drink."
"Thank you for your time and the sword." (He looks at Thallan, Regula and Jake)
"Galben went to speak with Daran Edermath at the orchard. I told him I would meet him back at the Stonehill Inn to go find Carp after I went to speak with Barthen. Jake were you heading to the Shrine of Luck? If so, we will wait for you to return and the three of us can find Carp and see about this "potential" tunnel he spoke of."
Phandalin's only temple is a small shrine made of stones taken from the nearby ruins. It is dedicated to Tymora, goddess of luck and good fortune. As Jake & Regula enter, they see the elf cleric, Sister Garaele, adjusting the bandages on what are clearly visible wounds. She looks up at you enter and quickly covers the wounds with her robes. "Greetings, stranger. You are most welcome here."
10 gp for returning the supplies and 50 gp each for sale of weapons and 1 left over (3 total left over now updated on the spread sheet)
(Bearkiller and Galben walk over to Linene)
"What do you have in regards to daggers, rapiers and greatswords? (Asks Bearkiller)
"Do you happen to have any special quivers or arrows, healing potions or darkwood here? (Inquires Galben)
"I would like to acquire a simple quarterstaff. Heavy oak is my preference."
(Bearkiller looks at the rapiers on the wall and tests out a few and chooses one that appeals to him)
"I shall take this rapier. How much will it be?"
(Galben thinking for a few minutes)
"You know it might be good to have a silvered arrow, I would like to have 1 plated please. What will the cost be?"
Jake hands over the remnants of his quarterstaff. "I made kindling of my old quarterstaff. I would like a suitable replacement. Nothing fancy; as a man of the cloth I prefer function to aesthetics."

(Bearkiller looks at Jake's new staff)
"That is a fine looking white oak staff, when you get it silvered in the future it will look really good."
(Bearkiller turning to Lady Graywind)
"Can you tell us anything about the Redbrand Ruffians?"
(Bearkiller keeps eye contact)
"A friend of ours has gone missing and we are looking from him, Gundren Rockseeker perhaps you know of him, we have heard this group is behind much of the unrest in town and we are looking for information that could help us find Gundren and slow down this band of troublemakers."

Jake agrees with Bearkiller. "I will be but a moment at the shrine."
Jake heads over to the shrine of luck. He heads inside to seek Sister Garaele, and maybe ask her for a vial or two of holy water.
Regula accompanies Jake to the shrine.
"Good day to you, sister. Excuse the impertinence, but are your injured? Do you require assistance?"
