Geoff knowing he has no chance of fighting this wurm while it's in the air and seeing the brilliant controlling spells by Escarin and Shan, he attempts to open the doors. Either way he knows they must enter the temple. Something inside beckons him.
"If we have to fight it, better in an enclosed space where it cannot fly! We'll be safer inside! Let's go!" He gives a few frantic taps on Tyrros's shoulder to keep him focused on the task at hand.
With adrenaline surging through his body, he attempts to open the massive golden doors singlehandedly!
The group rushes into the temple. Behind them, scratching noises and loud grunts explode from the well.
The entryway has high vaulted ceilings adorned with an engraved pattern of starbursts; ( Knowledge (religion) check (DC 15)). Double golden doors identical to the external ones are mounted in the eastern wall. The small room is otherwise empty.
Geoff moves forward and opens the two huge doors.
A tremendous dome rises above the delicate tile floor. The room is dominated by a huge polished statue on a pedestal in the center of the chamber; the statue is of a woman of singular grace and beauty, a delicate yet strong form draped in flowing robes. Her hair cascades about her shoulders and neck. A detailed amulet adorns her neck. The look on her face is a mixture of hope and sadness.
As soon as they do it she cast Arcane Lock on the doors.
“Kendala Ayurm Ngarast”
“ I do not know if this will ever work. Better hurry!” She turns to Escarin, her forehead wet with sweat both for the fear and the effort of her spells. “ You downed a dragon?!”
Once they enter the second set of doors she will cast again the same spell once they close them.

If it's possible (and if the doors have handles), after Shan casts the spell on the doors, Geoff will look around for something to wedge through the handles. Like an couple wooden or stone shafts, just as an extra precaution. He waits until Xorn and Alex shut them then does so.
"I think we're safe, momentarily at least. Keep watch on the doors Tyrros."
He then looks at the statue and marvels at the beauty of it as well as the engraved starbursts on the ceiling and is greatly curious, but he remembers the threat outside.

Unfortunately, opening both sets of doors was a little taxing and the adrenaline leaving his body makes it hard for him to concentrate.
Slightly winded, he says, "Having trouble thinking right now.”
when you are entering the room you feel an indistinct presence, one of strong warmth and love.
When Geoff comes into the room, the statue comes to life and speaks:
“Beloveddisciple, the gods have not turned away from man. Man turned away from the true gods and now seeks gods who do not truly exist. But the end of darkness nears. Krynn is about to face its greatest test. Men will need truth more than ever. You must return the truth and restore the balance."
“To gain the power, you shall need the truth of the gods. Far below this temple lies the Disks of Mishakal, circular plates of platinum that are all you need to call upon my power. You must recover these Disks."
“But your way will not be easy. The Disks now lie in the lair of the dragon. Therefore I bless your staff; if you present it boldly, never wavering, you shall prevail. Even then, your journey is not complete; you must leave here and search for a true Leader of the People.”
The arms of the statue are curved as if they had once held a long, thin pole.
(Are we all in the second chamber when this happens? Or are we at the first one? What do Shan knows with her roll of religion? It’s jus for RP one way or another. :)
Escarin walks in silence, having heard but not responded to Shan's amazement about him sending the dragon back to wherever it came from he has been reeling from the dragonfear he had only just overcame in time to cast his spell and now he hears that they must head towards the very creature he was hoping they'd seen the last of.
Face pale he scans the others looking to see how this amazing news, delivered it seems by one of the old gods themselves, is received but for him it is almost too much to bear.

Alex
(Religion check 2)
Following Shan's request Alex puts all his weight into closing the door. The door swings closed with little effort "You would never no this place has been abandoned for over 500 years with these doors."
(Are we all in the second chamber when this happens? Or are we at the first one? What do Shan knows with her roll of religion? It’s jus for RP one way or another. :)
You recognise the Goddess of Healing; Mishakal. And yes this happens when you all enter the main hall, the second room.
Shan, after seeing and hearing the statue doesn’t dare to speak. Her mind is still working at high speed. It could be the fear fo the dragon, the excitement to have found one alive, the awe of having encounter a direct sign of the Old Gods, as they all were looking for all this years... but one wishpering voice in the back of her mind gave her the key of her excitement. There was something more in this ruins that she needs to find. Something more important to her that these disks... her hands shakes just to think of it...
But she has to control herself, there was too many things happening at the same time and her mind was boiling with questions.
Still she says nothing, and waits for Geoff to speak to the Godness.
Geoff is very overwhelmed by the statue speaking, and even though he didn't immediately recognize the statue at first, the words spoken by it allow him to easily come to his senses and recognize it being of the Goddess of Healing, Mishakal—the one he holds in the highest regard from his studies as a young man.
Of all the magic he dreamed to learn, Healing was what he seemed drawn to, and he just managed to use Healing Magic from the staff not long ago. Now a statue of Mishakal herself speaking and saying the disks are close...Forestmaster's wisdom really is otherworldly. He hears Xorn speak, but he can only manage to give a casual point to Tyrros and then points straight at the statue, as if saying "he got it from here." He is simply too overwhelmed with everything that just transpired in the last few moments, but also does not want to upset his brother by speaking of how *he* came to possess the staff.
Delaying no further, he steels his nerve and unveils the staff from under his cloak, holding it with both hands as he approaches the statue.
*"Present it boldly, never wavering... "* Geoff thinks to himself.*"It must be a riddle..."
The Gods have not turned from man, but man has turned from the Gods? How can this be completely true when there has been no evidence of their existence for centuries? Why have they given no proof? Geoff questions himself internally as he continues walking forward.
He sees the others looking to him to speak and he manages what he can, "I am Geoff Krowley. The honor is truly mine. We have so many questions about the past, present, and future, if you would allow them. But, for the moment, I believe this is yours."
He sees the curved arms of the statue and places the staff in its rightful place, within the hands of the Goddess.
Bryony is likewise stunned by what happens next. The legendary sight of a dragon, fled for centuries and half-myth these days, is enough to craft stories for decades. But the True Gods themselves? A statue of Mishakal directing them to search for Discs of Mishakal, bearing what must be a Staff of Mishakal given its healing properties. Astonishing!
Geoff approaches the statue and Bryony finds herself drifting after him, drawn to the presence of the Goddess. She doesn't dare interrupt, though, and watches with reverence as he presents the staff, offering to return it home.
Geoff grabs the staff and is still very much in awe of what had happened, but realizes the speaking statue is more of a recording than having sentience.
He kneels before the statue, staff clutched to his chest, then arises and turns to his friends.
After a moment, a look of uncharacteristic serious determination on his face.
"We do what we came here to do. We must recover the Disks of Mishakal, and quickly. If Krynn is set to face it's greatest test and if we are to usher in a new age of truth to the world, then we should get started, now. A mere dragon is not going to stop me from playing a part in righting the world..."
He removes his personal wyvern scale band that he crafted for everyone from his forehead prior to their meeting with Forestmaster, wraps it around his right hand, and holds aloft the staff with a look of stoicism, his eyes looking as if they could pierce the hardest dragon scales, and looks to his friends, old and new.
“Count me in Geoff. We’ve been searching a sign of the True Gods for years, and now we have, not only one, but their very emmisary with us!” She smiles.
“But for more enthusiastic I want to be, we still have a dragon to deal with. If we have to take the old tales as true, and the last few days are probing them to be, claiming an object from a dragon’s hoard is not easy task. And this particular one is well aware of our presence here. Let’s go find some exit and be quick!”
"I am with you til the end Geoff, but I'd rather that end be a long way into the future and Shan is right, we have left a powerful foe bruised but not beaten." Staring intently at the doors Shan sealed Escarin continues "Let's hope that the dragon will be out searching for us and not guarding these disks, shall we check these doorways out?"Gesturing to the sides doors Escarin readies himself to move out, still awed by the experience of Mishakel's message for Geoff.
