Geoff. You have no idea of the group identity but in these troubled times, they may be part of one of the new gods' sect. They do indeed look the part.
You all rush into the forest and like Kinlin aided by the rain you hide easily. The group of pilgrim passes by and you can see that they are pulling a cart with one of their own laying inside. He seems in a bad shape.
OOC: Perception check DC 15. If succeeded read the spoiler.
As they pass you can hear the raspy voices of two of them talking.
They are talking about the Blue Crystal Staff and how it was stolen from them in Xak Tsaroth. They are looking for it to heal their friend and have heard rumors that it has been seen in Solace.

Escarin looks across at Tyrros and raises an eyebrow. "Stolen in Xak Tsaroth, could that have been where you were? Does it sound familiar?" he whispers.

"No! We need to keep this to our selfs for now. I would not trust their information anyway. With as many people that are looking for the staff the fewer that know the better."
Xak Tsarok is the ruins of an ancient city that was partially destroyed during the Cataclysm. It lyes far to the east beyond the plains east of Solace. It is a sunken city now that was 400 years ago the center of trade ,peace and a testament to the ancient gods love for creation.
Geoff conveys the pilgrim information to the group as we take cover, "They definitely look like they are from a sect of the new gods by the looks of it. We should be cautious about outright revealing the staff to them, or even talking to them."
"Do you remember where you were at when you received the staff? Some one else may have taken the staff out of Can. I remember it being a great city before the Cataclsym."

”Nobody is calling you nothing Tyrros, but what you received as a gift others may see it as if someone has stolen something from them. I don’t like them but we must think. If the staff is truly a gift from the old Gods do we have the right to keep it hidden or should we use it to heal the people and the world? At least we should check in the ill one, and offer them whatever aid we can before showing the staff. Maybe that way they don’t go to Solace. I don’t like the idea of that people walking over there with a dangerous disease.
I could offer to take a look to the ill and check their history... “
As the companions are pondering their next move the pilgrims advance. They are 50 feet from you when one of them stops suddenly.
Perception 20
The pilgrim shakes his head and moves on.
In a raspy voice that rubs you the wrong way he says. " I thought I saw a white stag in the distance to the west but it is nothing."
OOC: They have moved past you but you can still go to them. You ll have a disadvantage on the first approach unless you find a good reason to explain why you hid from them.
Once a testament to the magnificence of the ancient gods and their love for their creation, Xak Tsaroth long stood as a bastion of peace, worship, and trade. Prior to the Cataclysm, Xak Tsaroth was the largest inland trade city of Abanasinia. Here, various races met to exchange their wares, all for the further glory of the people, their land, and their gods. Even the great city of Istar, famed for its abundant wealth, depended on the goods that changed hands in the city’s eclectic street markets. In appreciation for their many blessings, the people of Xak Tsaroth erected great temples to worship the ancient gods. As the city’s wealth and fame grew, so too did the ambitions of its dependents. Warped by gluttony, the people of Xak Tsaroth abandoned the generosity that had made them so beloved of the ancient gods and became consumed with worldly indulgences. So it was that, when the gods punished the inhabitants of Krynn for their vanity and arrogance, Xak Tsaroth did not escape the gods’ wrath. When the fiery mountain struck, it shook the great city, perched high atop the Eastwall Mountains, to its very foundations. The mountains cleaved, and the once-opulent temples, markets, and halls crumbled into a vast cavern over one thousand feet deep. Remnants of the lost way of life in Xak Tsaroth now cling to the cavern walls. Many people died in this great destruction, including several apprentices of the great wizard, Fistandantilus.
It is said that one of his towers was here and that one of if legendary spellbooks still survived.
After a few moments thinking and once the pilgrims had gone, if her companions doesn’t allow her to check the ill one and be sure that no disease is headed to Solace, Shan says
”We should go and try to find this sunken city. Perhaps there the mistery of the staff can be solved. “
"Let's go first to Haven then maybe we'll try our luck in the ruins." He amends. " I don't want to go there if I can help it. I'll wait for a clear sign."

Tyrros looks taken aback. His face is pale and a strained.
"I was given the staff." He whispers back fiercely, almost as if he is trying to convince himself. "I am many things but I am no thief."
He then shakes his head wilfully. "I don t remember really what happened."
