Geoff says, "I'll... just watch."

Geoff is growing more confused by the minute, what is their obsession with garbage? He wonders.

"So uh Bupu, tell me, what is special about this, erm, refuse?"

Kinlin

" We need to look for our friends. The big one with horns, the fair woman with white tunics and the bold man with powerful magic." he explains to Bupu. " A race? the kender, who was a little bit bored, replies with excitment " where to?"

Xorn looks around after the Black Knight moves away and disappears. “Maybe it didn’t work out so well this time.” He shrugs “One problem at a time I guess. We will go find the dark knight after we save the Krynn.”

Alex

"Tyrros, I think its your turn to watch Kin" as a smirk creeps across Alex's face. "I think I will stay here until they find our friends and return them here." With a short pause he yells out to the dwarves "Be sure not to spook the minotaur, he might step on a few of you."

Tyrros looks at Alex then at Kinlin.

" I m being punished right? that's why you wanted me with you all along." There is a smile on his face though

All around Alex the dwarves gather their things to go hunting. Most of them are now wearing kitchen wares and large utensils instead of weapons. 

 Xorn, Bryony, Shan, and Escarin

The room is small. It is littered un with books but only a few are magical. (Shan has cast detect magic)

Vials and bottles of various types swarm the shelves.

Everything here looks magical and dangerous. Escarin and Shanryar are mesmerized by the power coming from the several books.

The space the room inhabits seems mush to large for the library.  A closed window is the only source of light. 

"Be careful, we do not know what manner of protection, if any, there is on these things."

Escarin tries to investigate as carefully as possible after beseeching his patron for aid.

Shan points to Escarin the most powerful books and she, with a trembled hand for the emotion touches one of the books with the black cover and silver runes. 

She takes it and looks at Escarin

”Could it be? After all this time... After the Test... You know I saw him... He... He helped me... He guided me and now... We can, we must use this for good... such knowledge... “ she looks down to the book and whispers almost to herself “ such power... “ 

She examines the runes on the book before open it.

Geoff says to his 3 companions, "Hopefully we don't see the dragon while looking for them."

He lets his question to Bupu about the refuse go, perhaps some things are better left unanswered, he thinks to himself.

Out of curiosity, he takes out the Elvish library book and reads a little bit about the old elven wars.

"He has helped us both, the price we pay may be different but his hand is on us both, we were brought here, in part it seems to grant a servant freedom, but I believe also to take another step forward, to receive more power, more knowledge, we must learn all we can from these books." The gleam in Escarin's eyes is unmistakable, a hunger, too strong to be completely healthy.

There are many books and vials in the room. You cannot carry much but you know that these books are worth much for the power they bring. 

Escarin finds a small compartment under a huge wooden desk. ( There seems to be a bit of a resistance when you get closer to it. Like your patron is not happy with you finding it.)

It is warded for sure.

Geoff, Kinlin, Tyrros and Alex

Tyrros turns to Kinlin "Let's go find our friends, and try to keep me in sight please."

Bupu turns to Geoff and smiles. "Pile is food and treasure all at the same time". She does an awkward bow and runs after the others.

Shan

”We should take the books “ she said “ we should have time to study them once we are out of here. Now we should look for our friends... “ she keeps the book and will take the other if Escarin doesn’t want to carry a second one.. 

Kinlin

”I promise!” Says the kender running after Bupu.

Escarin helps Shan take as many of the magical books as they can reasonably carry, showing her the secret compartment under the desk he asks "Do you think you could break the ward? I have a feeling that it would have to be worth it, in a room with so many powerful items, the ones hidden out of sight must be of greatest value."

If Shan needs any assistance with a roll he will cast guidance for 2 

"Don't worry Tyrros I'll keep an eye on him. You're right though, let's get going to look for them, they have been gone too long."

Geoff stays by Tyrros, he will watch Kinlin for the time being, knowing his brother has had a rough day.

He shrugs at Bupu's answer, almost sorry that he asked in the first place.

Putting the book away, Geoff eagerly joins the others and the dwarves to search for the others. He takes out his torch and gets ready to light it again when needed.

Shan nods and tries to dispel the magic ward: 9 in case is necessary 

The hair on the back of Xorn's mane stand up watching these two fawn over the books of power. It unsteadies him and he can't help but say out loud. "Are you two sure about this? I'm getting a bad feeling here."

Shanryar spell fizzles and ice starts to coat the book. 

Take 1d4 con dam if fail DC 15. 

The lock is still sealed.

All around you you are beginning to hear strange whispers. It's gives you shivers.

"We can't leave that here... " Shan looks to Escarin for confirmation despite the cold feeling on her hands.
