Finn readies his bow, but chooses to give his companions an opportunity to resolve the situation peacefully before making any moves. Looking at the others around him and mutter harshly "Stop him or get him to explain what is going on, or I'll stop him in a far more permanent way"
Ready Action: Fire my bow at Bengo if he continues to move towards the cave without explaining what he is doing
Tristan runs 60 feet into the clearing, another 20 feet from Bengo and 30 feet from the cave entrance.
At the sound of Tristan calling out to him, Bengo turns and both waves one hand as if beckoning you to follow and holds the other hand up as if telling you to wait. It was a confusing gesture that even other goblins would find it hard to discern what it meant.
Finn steps closer to the clearing to get a clear shot at Bengo, but is still at the tree line.
Bengo continues running into the cave, which gives Finn an opportunity to loose his arrow. I leave it up to you if Bengo's hand gestures was enough "explaining" for you to let him go or attack.
Sig walks slowly towards Finn, with his hand on the grip of his sword, shield up facing the entrance of the cave, deciding that running straight into the cave, even if the goblin might alert others inside, is probably not a good idea, and he's better off getting closer to the halfing to protect him in case anything happens.
"Finn... don't lose him... " He whispers, getting ready for a possible ambush now that the goblin is runnning away.
Tristan looks back to where the party is, and gives a shrug. She waves a hand, muttering a few words as she casts Disguise Self to appear like one of the goblins they found, just with some chain mail armor. With the illusion settling over herself, she runs in, trying to follow Bengo.

Tristan's form flickers into a goblin that looks a lot like the one Bengo called Hagg. She then runs into the cave.
Tristan:
The cave is pitch dark and cold. You hear the constant burbling of the stream under your feet as you walk a few feet past the mouth of the cave into the darkness. You hear some goblin voices coming from... somewhere ahead of you. The sounds are bouncing around and it's hard to determine where sounds are really coming from. The ceiling here is high, you can feel the space--perhaps 20 or 30 feet high.
From what little light is entering the cave, you see that the stream is coming from straight ahead (North) and that there is a dry ledge on which one could walk to the side of it (to the East). Also to the east is what appears to be a step into another cavern.
Make a perception check.
Do you plan to find or use a light source, or are you continuing in blind?

Tristan considers calling out for their goblin friend, but decides against it for the time being. She certainly wouldn't sound like the goblin she was impersonating. Grabbing a torch from her pack, she strikes a fire on it, giving her some light as she takes in their surroundings. Whatever the others were doing is unknown to her, so she doesn't want to risk going in very far.

The echoing sounds of the cave, the stream, and the goblin voices don't clarify for you.
You light a torch and see the cave open up before you. Indeed, the cave ceiling is at least 20 feet up, and the passage you're in now is about 10 feet wide. Ahead of you somewhere deeper in the cave is the source of the stream. You see an opening ahead and to the left, and a old wooden bridge that appears to connect another cave opening 10 feet up from the stream level. Immediately to your right, you see steps up to an opening to another cavern.
The torch light is enough that you can see Bengo in the cavern, crouching over something with his back to you. Three wolves see you in your goblin form and pay no attention to you. One is sniffing at something on the ground that Bengo is working on. Two other wolves are still, watching Bengo and waiting. Bengo notices the light and turns to see you. You see he is holding three ropes, each of which act as the wolves' leashes.
Bengo looks awkwardly at you. In Goblin, he says, "Hagg, I was, well, going to take them for a walk and--" he stops short. "Hagg? I saw you murdered."
What do you do?
What are the rest of you doing while Tristan is in the cave?

Finn runs up to the briars above him, doing his best to get into a position where he is hidden from the entrance of the cave, in case anything hostile comes out of there, still half expecting Bengo to have betrayed them
Tristan is about to say something about being called Hag, but thankfully remembers Hagg is the goblin identity she stole. "It's the human you saw earlier." She says in goblin, seeming to decide that was enough of an explanation. "You ran inside. Some of us were worried. I just wanted to see if everything was okay."

Zaiden is going to rush up to where Tristan is to back her up. He has his rapier out but is prepared to draw and throw a dagger at any goblin he sees that's not Bengo...
Sig moves closer to Finn, staiyng a bit back, focusing on the entrance of the cave, ready to sprint and engage whatever comes out of it as soon as it appears.
Bengo's tense body language relaxes. Tristan looks like Hagg, but definitely doesn't sound like him. Bengo simply nods and moves towards you, holding the three wolves leashed.
When he gets close to Tristan/Hagg, he leans in to say something, but he's interrupted by the wolves. They start growling at Zaiden, who has entered the cave.
(Zaiden, you can read the Tristan spoilers above (#129 & #131) to get a description of the cave, if you haven't already.)
The wolves look about to attack Zaiden, but Bengo snaps at them. They immediately look chastened and quiet down, but they look uneasy with a non-goblin there. Bengo leans in to Tristan and says in Goblin, "We don't use light in here; they'll be skeptical that you're truly goblin with that torch." He then points up the northern passage. "To the left is the human. Up around the stream passage is Klarg and his treasures."
In Common, he says to you both, "Luck and thank."
He nods to Zaiden as he passes with his three wolves in tow. The three wolves nip at the air close to Zaiden without making contact with him, and Bengo chastises them again. Bengo and the wolves exit the cave.
Finn, Sig, and Emrin:
Finn, Sig, and Emrin are all hidden well in the briars. After a few moments, just as your anxiety about two of your mates being in the cave alone starts to build, you see Bengo exit the cave holding three ropes, each tied to a wolf.
Bengo jogs right past you, going west, without giving you notice.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Hey! Hey you! Bengo! Stop right there!" Sig says, just loud enough for the goblin to hear him when rushes past him, trying to read his intentions on his face.
Bengo stops short and looks confusedly at the briars. The wolves start growling, but he shushes them, and they obey.
He starts slowly to continue on his way, and then again picks up to a jog. He gives a little wave to the briars. The wolves are slower to continue moving, sniffing at the air, but each eventually continues with Bengo.
Sig, you get the sense that he was nervous at being "caught," but relieved it was a human voice in Common and not a goblin voice in Goblin. He also seems in a hurry to leave and nervous that he'll be recaptured by your group and killed.
“To the left to try to rescue them?” Zaiden ask’s Tristan, “or should we call in the others? I’m a bit worried we may get swamped by goblins before we realize it…”
Tristan dunks her torch into the water, extinguishing the light. "We don't know how many goblins will be in there, so we should get the others. My illusion should last a while, so if we need an excuse as to why we're here, we can say you're new prisoners. It shouldn't take much to buy into it."

What does Finn do?
Sighing deeply, Finn chooses not to shoot at Bengo, hoping that the rest of his companions were right to trust that he wouldn't try anything
Bengo runs into the cave.
