Upon Crispy’s mention of the door mimic, he shudders. None the less, he shakes the memory from his brain, and continues to chase after Liam, readying his magical axe enroute.
DM: is any area considered a boiler room (areas 11-14?) where water is stored and heated for shower use? Chubby has extensive brewing skills, so I assume he would have innate knowledge of plumbing and devices used to heat and cool water. His intention is to try to trap the water elemental, or whatever it is, in a comment vessel or some part of the plumbing, by shutting off specific valves.
You all rush down below to the crew deck. You realise now, in this moment that you haven’t actually known how to access the cargo bay on this ship yet. It’s quiet in the crew deck. You can hear the gentle snores of Dwarves and the continual squeaking of pedals which drive the ship’s fan rotors outside. Ruven walks ahead of the group and lifts a dirty sheeps wool rug, revealing a trap door. It has no lock on it.
”Here. This is the only access to the cargo bay from inside the ship. We usually access it through the large drop door on the outside when she lands.” He lifts the door, revealing an old rusty ladder leading down. It’s dark inside. He grabs a bullseye lantern off the wall which is emitting a warm glow in the crew deck, handing it to Liam. “I shall remain here to watch this exit. If I see anything come up from inside there, I shall call you immediatley.”

I think the boiler would be located in the cargo bay where you’re headed. Most of the plumbing appears to be installed within the walls and floors of the ship. Nice thinking!
Stowing his battleaxe, Chubby grabs the lantern from Liam and slowly makes his way down the rickety ladder.... (insert background music here from any random 1980’s horror flick)
Gregor pats Mr. Boss man on his shoulder and says “Keep eyes on behind you, no guarantee bad guy is in basement, or even if there is just one bad guy. You shout if you see or hear anything and Gregor come running.” Then he heads down the stairs armed only with a steak knife that he stole from the dinner table.
You all climb your way down one by one. A soft ‘splash’ can be heard as your toes touch water and it echoes around this space. You are currently in darkness, but a dim light can be seen down the other end of the hull and a dull whistelling sound can be heard- the boiler heating water. Hard wood crates are stacked in this area with tarps thrown over them and loose, thin ropes look like snakes laying around the ground. Long, rectangular piles of crates seperate this area in isles up and down the length of this area and the odd support beam obstructs your view around corners.
I would like:
1) Party marching order as you are almost forced into a singular file fashion, and perception checks.
2) Stealth, too depending in how you’re approaching the situation.
I suggest Gregor and Chubby at the ends of the line, with Liam and Crispy next to them and Nia in the middle. That's certainly what Liam would prefer.
Liam creeps down the ladder and takes up a position next to Gregor, once he makes his way down as well. He takes note of Gregor's odd choice of armament but decides not to comment on it for the time being.
His darkvision kicking in due to the dim light, Liam looks about for any sign of bloody water, including beneath the group's feet. Perception: 6
He also says aloud, in Primordial, "If you can understand me, show yourself."
And just for good measure, he repeats the statement in Abyssal.
Chubby is #1 in line. And stupid me, he's a dwarf with Darkvision so he has no need for the lantern, so he passes it back down the line to someone who needs to use it to see. Additionally, that allows him to have his shield in one hand, and his trusty battleaxe "Bottle Opener" in the other, as Moradin meant it to be!
Crispy laughs, "I bet" She says.

Last to know and first to be blamed...
As a free action, can I regret my life choices?

“Gregor no have fancy Magic’s, but does have incredible tolerance to pain, especially when Gregor mad. Can put himself between friends and bad guy.”

Liam looks around at the assembled party, most notably Chubby and Gregor.
"I think perhaps one of you two should go down first, in case whatever this thing is is down there waiting for us."
He holds up the lantern in case either of them wishes to take it.

Liam follows quickly behind.

Queue 1980’s horror music please.

Chubby's Perception check: 8 (thank you, Mr. Sentinel Shield!)
Chubby's Stealth check: 3
Holy crap, those were horrible rolls! Hmmmm, maybe Chubby is giving off an atrocious alcohol smell?!

Well, at least now I don't feel so bad about Liam's terrible Perception check...
Liam and Chubby: No bloody water can be seen, just general puddles around the floor. You hear long, slow creaks of wood as it stresses and relaxes.

Im behind Chubby, maybe in front of Liam so I can flank. Quiet, but not perceptive..
That’s ok! I appreciate the effort for the post :)

In the middle of the group Nia ket a low profile and readied herself to start blasting.
