"It would seem to me that if the doors are no longer acting as barriers, then those are the directions that would have anything we didn't want to encounter... The sturdy door is most likely to be a safe area as the undead have never struck me as the sort to worry about closing doors behind themselves."
Koric cautiously lifts himself clear of the trap door, then waits for his eyes to adjust. He sees Jade engaged in some kind of magic and awaits the outcome.
Listening to the door, there's not much you can hear on the other side. If there was anyone back there, you'd certainly have heard them, but all you hear is the subtle wind blowing throughout the halls, no footsteps or floorboards creaking to be found
@Jade
Using your divine sense, you also can't sense any actually entities, but it is clear the place is full of unholy energy. Perhaps it is simply a remenant of Vyldara's magic, but you get the sense it's not. Whatever it is though, you don't get the sense there's any actual beings anywhere near that door
@Soloth
The dust on the floor is certainly a bit disturbed, but there's no visible footprints or signs of movements through this door. Whatever once used this area is clearly long gone

When nothing leaps out to attack them, Koric examines the large front doors wondering how they might be opened. The thought of another journey through the claustrophobic catacombs does not fill him with joy.
While some of the party investigates the iron door, Jade continues down past the right doorway, checking out the area as she goes, wondering what the unholy energy feeling was coming from.
You turn behind you to examine the front door that you avoided going through by navigating the catacombs. While the door itself looks pretty reinforced, you do notice there are two levers that with enough strength, you and one other person might be able to use to open the gate
@Jade
You walk through the doorway on the right, your divine sense still tingling. You can feel the dark energy coming from the door in front of the rest of the group, but not too much from the area you are walking into. There's some minor amounts of residual unholy energy here, but it seems to just be the remnants of Vyldara's magic. The room itself is mostly empty, but there are four wooden doors in the room, all mostly closed but heavily rotten. Two are at the far end, one on the left side of the room, and one on the right

Koric nods in satisfaction, "Looks like we can leave by a more comfortable route when the time comes."
He slowly turns his longing gaze away from the doors and joins Soloth, trying to make out any details on the floor, and make sense of any other signs within the room.
Liri examines the iron door in front of them, checking to see if there is a large enough gap under the door that a mouse, spider, or similarly tiny creature could squeeze through. "If there is enough of a gap under that door, then I can try and scout ahead if you like?"
Jade heads back to the group, “The evil has dissipated in that direction, though there are more passageways.” She turns and then heads down the left side to make sure there is nothing there that will surprise them either.
Walking to the left, this side of the fortress is clearly a lot more run down, with the far wall being mostly rubble and branching off into what appears to just be some natural caves. There's also a room to your left as you walk in, sealed in a similar way to the ones on the right, and a crumbling passageway with a set of stairs that seem to lead towards above the front gate
Jade heads back to the rest, "Pretty much the same as the other side, though there are a set of stairs that lead up, above the gate. Shall we try and get this thing opened?" she sees that Lux has been looking at the doors, "Did you see any traps or are they locked?" barely waiting for an answer, Jade heads up and tries to open the doors.
Either works, both involve the same result. You break down the door without much struggle at all, revealing the room behind it. Compared to the rest of the castle, this room looks a lot more new, and significantly more well kept up. There's some signs of decay, and whoever was here clearly isn't anymore, but it's most certainly been abandoned much later than the rest of the building. It extends backwards almost as far as you can see, with two sets of stairs at the end, one leading up and and one leading down
The room is full of clutter, but it's hard to make much of it out. There's what appears to be some potion brewing materials and flasks on tables along the left wall, some wheelbarrows stored near the stairs, and a few covered tables on the right

(( lol...useless die roller...no edits, and 12 was the roll ))
Seeing little else in the room of interest, Koric moves closer to Lux and waits to follow their lead, whichever direction they decide to go.
Liri examines the iron door in front of them, checking to see if there is a large enough gap under the door that a mouse, spider, or similarly tiny creature could squeeze through. "If there is enough of a gap under that door, then I can try and scout ahead if you like?"
@Koric
Looking around the room, you don't notice much else, the room pretty much completely devoid of any traces of activity
@Liri
Looking at the door, there's definately enough room under it where a small animal like a mouse could sneak through

Lux will check the door to see if it is locked without opening it. He will also ask if anyone is good with checking for trapped doors?

@Lux and Jade
The door to this back room is locked, but seems relatively fragile. It shouldn’t take much to break it in. Jade, make a strength check
Lux will help with the door (Advantage ;-) )

Thanks Lux! If you mean straight Strength check, I'll roll that first

If you mean athletics check...
