Tests and Trials Game Thread

Normally in situation such as these Cladmir would back up as far as possible while at the same time raining as much arrow as possible on his enemies.  But fueled with a new zeal Cladmir would instead step up next to Kroshav and ready to take a swing at the ghost if it get close -- basically providing the Dragonborn with a shield to allow him to keep flinging away his light infused javelin.

(( Cladmir readies up with his shield and magic in front of the dragonborn to swing at anything that gets close )).

Kroshav grabs a second javelin from where he thrust them into the snow and whips the point up, a gob of snow flying off as it is similarly suffused with holy light as he hurls it upward.

Attack: 9 Damage: 9

Ooops, he had that one backwards and throws it tail first, the balance all wrong.

There is pause as the javelin leaves Kroshav's hands, all eyes drawn to its radiance in the near darkness - including the ghost's. It is a bit anti-climatic as the javelin plops down in the snow well away from the ghosts dangling feet.

Her eyes leave the javelin as its glow winks out, eyes suddenly taking on a burning read glow as she shoots over the group to hover just above them. Her beautiful Elven face twisted by malice, now lit by her burning eyes, is visible to everyone.

Mikram has time to ask,

"What is that?"

Before she spreads her arms and leans forward to buffet the group with an ear piercing wail of sorrow.

Mikram slaps his hands over his ears and curses nearly as loudly as the ghost's wail.

((Twice in as many days... Kroshav is going to be taking out his frustrations he didn't get to vent vs gryffons on a bunch of undead.))

Cladmir and Kroshav wince at noise but feel fine. Mikram manages a,

"What the- oooophh!"

As he falls wrapped in rope to the ground as Eula poofs from existence.

Jaq winces at the sad shriek, but focuses through it to shoot at the ghost.

Longbow: 18

Damage: 10

He moves near Cladmir, the other side of him than Kroshav.....Unless there is somewhere for him to hide within distance.  If there is he will stealth and hide if possible.

Stealth if at all possible, tho I doubt it: 20

Jaq stiffens at the wail, it feels like it breaks something inside of him.

He drops lifeless into the snow.

(Read it wrong.  Beat twelve.   Not get twelve).

The wail hits Ernos as hard as it hit Jaq, something twists horribly inside him before simply snapping.

The remaining three watch as Ernos crumples into the snow.

The entire time this happens the golem remains motionless, and seemingly completely unimpaired by the wail. The Librarian says through it,

"Whatever just happened has alerted the dead in the Archives. At least some of them have departed, you will not have long until they reach the surface. You should expect them soon. We will begin our push momentarily."

Spluttering and still cursing, Mikram levers himself into a sitting position and shoots the ghost.

Attack: 8 Damage: 14

The bolt clips the apparition but she barely seems to notice.

The golem jerks into movement to stand beside Cladmir and Kroshav, dragging Mikram along the way to join them.

"Jaq! Er-Ernie! Get up and fight, Librarian says the rest are coming!"

Kroshav's words snap through the frosty air, the two that fell feeling bolstered, along with Clad as the paladin infuses them with divine aid.
